Death… And Me

Chapter 3535: Usefull Criminals

”Hey, don’t forget it,” Kentucky, who was also watching, spoke. ”Roan mentioned that Elsie might teach the wrong thing. What if she is showing the wrong path, or maybe a path that doesn’t even exist? You might lose years and go nowhere from here.”

”There is no such risk,” Roan answered straight away, looking at Elsie Ranka. ”After all, this Zuhure Spirit will not leave this place until we get it right.”

Elsie was taken aback, though. ”Hey, weren’t you who said that I could leave at any moment, and forcing me to stay was actually a risk?”

”Yes, you can,” Roan nodded. ”But until we get it right, we have no intention of removing the tracker on your body. Still, by all means...” Roan then waved his hand, creating a portal to the outside world. ”You are free to go. I’m definitely not holding you here against your will.”

”You are forcing my hand!” Elsie complained.

”Said the spirit who didn’t have the least bit of appreciation for us for saving its life,” Roan answered back, not a hint of remorse on his face. ”I will repeat the same thing I did before. We will not hold you here. Besides, perhaps you can find the answer to the tracking issue on your own, so why don’t you give it a chance? The door is wide open for you, look.”

Elsie wanted nothing more than to leave through that portal. It was already the second time they gave her the chance to come out of the Pocket Dimensional Realm, which meant they wouldn’t be able to hold her once outside. However, the outside was even more dangerous than the inside right now. ”Okay, okay, okay! Close it before they detect our presence again because of this opening you created. I will definitely show you the right path. But remember, I can’t guarantee you will reach the next stage. That’s entirely up to you. The most I can do is tell you what I did and show the results I acquired.”

Roan closed the portal to the outside world, nodding. ”Obviously. Intents are personal things, after all. But just pointing out if we are going in the wrong direction is already good enough.”

Elsie took the chance to ask. ”What if you never manage to reach the next stage? Are you going to keep the tracker inside me forever?” She obviously wanted some guarantee.

”Seems like it,” which Roan didn’t give her at all.

Elsie wanted to explode in anger at that moment, but she knew she couldn’t do it. ”Fuck! Then don’t waste time and pay attention! You better learn it fast!”

And thus, Elsie began to use her Sickle Intent. She wasn’t lying from the start, though. The next Stage was really exactly as she described. Without giving up the material weapon, the next stage couldn’t be achieved.

However, she did refrain from speaking a few points. If the twins’ group managed to start comprehending the Sixth Stage, she would use those extra pieces of information to have them remove the tracker from her.

”Oh, right! I forgot to ask something,” Elsie’s mind went back to the moment she was brought into the Dimensional Realm. ”Before, I thought there was some other high-level expert you worked for, which I was obviously wrong about. That friend of yours outside is evidently the owner of this Dimensional Realm. However, he is only in the Space-Bending Realm. How come this Pocket Dimensional Realm is not collapsing with my presence here?” She was, after all, at the Space-Time Realm.

Roan didn’t seem willing to answer. ”Let’s just say it is related to the reason why you can’t be tracked inside this place.”

Elsie wasn’t very happy with the answer, but she expected they wouldn’t really speak about it. She was just curious. What mattered was that it worked. ”Well, so be it.”

As Rean, Roan, and Zangeshu paid attention to Elsie’s demonstrations, Rifindio asked Sister Orb something else. ”Say, Sister Orb, they made this deal about removing her tracker... but do we even know what tracker it is?”

Sister Orb was always there, but she kept herself hidden from Elsie. [That’s a very good question, you know? Those two probably think I can remove this tracker or whatever since it doesn’t work in our Dimensional Realm. Unfortunately for them, I can’t find anything strange with Elsie’s body... well, her Core, since her body is just a projection made of Divine Energy.]

Rifindio’s mouth twitched. Doesn’t that mean Roan lied to her about removing her tracker? Well, Roan definitely wouldn’t tell Elsie about that for the moment.

Kentucky continued to fly for another two weeks straight, and they were never found. At some point, they finally decided to pay a visit to a small village... by the Divine Realm standards. The village alone had well over three hundred thousand inhabitants, way more than enough to create a city back on Earth. It’s just that cities in the Divine Realm were always in the tens of millions at the very least, and those were the absolutely smallest cities.

The reason for them to stop there was actually quite simple. It was very small, but they still had the basics, like the VS Devices. Rean didn’t want to create a new identity that didn’t exist before, though. For the sake of not leaving any traces behind, Rean decided to use someone else’s identity instead.

He spread his Divine Sense and observed the city for a few weeks. During these few weeks, Rean captured six experts, all male. Why them? Because they were definitely not the type who deserved to live. They were all criminals who didn’t know Rean was observing them.

Although Rean didn’t like killing, he felt no remorse for getting rid of those ones, especially since he made sure there wasn’t anyone who depended on them. There was always trash, regardless of which Universe you went to. Their identities were easily copied, and the twins’ group all had now six new fresh identities in the Werdlem Empire Network. Those were identities from people of the Center of the Divine Realm, which wouldn’t raise suspicion.
