Daddy Always Gets Jealous

Huo Jinnan responded, his gaze falling on the durian. He glanced back at Qin Huan, ”Sit over there, I’ll peel the durian for you to eat.”

Qin Huan murmured a sound of agreement and sat on the sofa.

She looked at Huo Jinnan, thinking that Huo Xiaoer must have seen that Weibo post, always good at putting up a show.

Huo Jinnan went to the bathroom, washed his hands, and came back. Dressed in a black suit, he stood there elegantly, glanced at the three durians on the coffee table, bent down, and with long fingers, gently started peeling them open, one by one.

After peeling them all open, he looked up at Mrs. Rong, ”Bring over four plates.”

Mrs. Rong headed to the kitchen and quickly came back with four plates.

Standing there, Huo Jinnan deftly and elegantly peeled the durian pieces off and evenly distributed them onto three plates, gathering the shells together. ”Mrs. Rong, take them to the bedroom.”

”...”

Mrs. Rong glanced at Huo Jinnan, puzzled over what the gentleman was up to, remembering that on the way home, the lady called Mr. Lu to buy durians.

Could the joy of the bridal chamber also involve playing with durian shells? But the lady is carrying twins, and her body is so heavy. Even if it’s a possibility, could she manage?

Huo Jinnan’s gaze settled on Mrs. Rong.

Mrs. Rong snapped back to reality, quickly found a very large reusable shopping bag, stuffed all the durian shells into it, and headed upstairs.

Qin Huan watched from the side, her gaze fixed on Huo Jinnan. So proactive, could it be he really intended to kneel on durian shells?

Huo Jinnan looked at Qin Huan, offering a plate to her, ”Good for your health, eat a few more pieces.”

He glanced at the mangosteen bought by Mr. Lu, sat beside Qin Huan, pulled the trash bin over, and started peeling a mangosteen, placing the flesh onto the empty plate beside them, ”Mr. Lu, take one plate over and eat it.”

Mr. Lu acknowledged and quickly left, sensing the atmosphere wasn’t right.

When Mrs. Rong came downstairs, she noticed a plate of white mangosteen flesh.

Huo Jinnan looked up at Mrs. Rong, ”That plate of durian is yours.”

”Thank you, sir.”

Mrs. Rong also left quickly with the plate, leaving only Huo Jinnan and Qin Huan in the living room.

Qin Huan looked at Huo Jinnan, handed him the remaining half, ”Maintaining a one-meter distance must be tiring, here’s for some nutrition.”

”Thank you, madam.”

Huo Jinnan took it and ate it bite by bite.

Qin Huan watched him, initially thinking he wouldn’t like it! Unexpectedly, not only is he the man who eats cherries, but also one who eats durian!

After eating four pieces, fearing it might cause heatiness, Qin Huan picked up the plate beside her and ate the peeled mangosteen.

Once Huo Jinnan finished the durian, he sat there, waited for Qin Huan to finish, and looked at her, ”Let’s go, head to the bedroom to handle some business.”

Qin Huan: ”...”

Just as she stood up, Huo Jinnan suddenly lifted her up entirely.

Afraid she was too heavy and would fall, Qin Huan wrapped her arms around Huo Jinnan’s neck, ”Am I heavy? I seem to be 110 pounds now.”

”A bit light for me.”

Huo Jinnan looked down at Qin Huan, recalling her words ”Fu Chengyang, I love you,” his gaze deepening further.

Qin Huan faintly sensed something was off. By the time she realized, they were already halfway up the stairs. Looking at Huo Jinnan, he truly felt not a hint of redness nor breathlessness.

Huo Jinnan glanced down at Qin Huan, ”There’s still time to confess your mistake now.”

Qin Huan: ”Wasn’t it you who was remorseful?”

Huo Jinnan lowered his head to look at Qin Huan, ”Remorseful about what?”

Qin Huan bit her lip, ”The one-meter distance.”

Huo Jinnan reached the bedroom door, lightly kicked it open with his long legs, ”You said one meter yourself, remorse needed?”

Qin Huan: ”...”

She’d seen unreasonable people, but never anyone this unreasonable!

Suddenly thought of Fu Chengyang back in Donggang, just that kind of character.

Huo Jinnan closed the door, placed Qin Huan on the bed, stood there, gazed deeply and fiercely at Qin Huan, loosened his tie with long fingers, pulled it off and tossed it on the bed, removed his suit, his voice magnetic and enticing, ”Missed me, right?”
