Cursed Immortality

Chapter 1116: Nightmare Plan: Phase Two (2)

”This...” Nyx muttered with a hint of mirth, ”...is only the first thread. Once we reach one percent, the Virtual Star World will begin to... dream!”

As Nyx’s voice trailed off, she flickered her finger, and instantly, the casino’s illusion entirely shattered. The holographic lights bled into black rivers that flowed upward.

The guests froze mid-laugh, their avatars’ eyes turning crimson and their expressions twisting into grotesque smiles.

One by one, they chanted in perfect unison...

”The dream accepts you. The dream remembers you. The dream never ends...!”

Once they finished this chant, they seemed to have fallen into a stunned state, and Nyx smirked before she rose from her seat, surrounded by the black threads.

”Now, who’s losing bitches?” Nyx scoffed as her hair flowed like living darkness, her gown blending into the shadow beneath her feet.

Right at that moment, she was no longer just an avatar within the Virtual Star World, for she had become its first and last Nightmare!

As she extended her hands outward, the very boundary of the casino shattered into a web of dark code that spread outward across the sector, infiltrating data streams, networks, and memories alike.

Yet, despite this disturbance, the world eye remained indifferent as if it didn’t notice anything, and it wasn’t just the world eye; anyone who wasn’t within the Nightmare Domain’s range couldn’t detect or see past its actual horrors.

Far away, in the Infinite Space, Jacob’s eyes flickered with a hint of satisfaction because he could feel the first heartbeat of the Nightmare Domain synchronizing with his Dreamscape Nightmare Realm!

The next moment, he closed his eyes, and he appeared within the Nightmare Realm!

When Jacob’s figure, in his Faery Human form, appeared in the dreamy throne room, where Nyx sat on her throne, adorned in a dress seemingly woven from stars, making her already otherworldly appearance even more alluring.

Furthermore, a faint trace of ethereal mist seemed to be emitting from her fingertips, and dark threads were spread around her throne.

However, the moment Jacob appeared, she smiled charmingly and, with a hint of mischievousness, she proudly declared, ”How was it? I know you can feel the Nightmare Realm’s influence within the Nightmare Domain! How are you going to reward me?”

”Rewards?” Jacob dismissively looked at her and coldly said, ”You should be glad that I’m not punishing you for your misconduct!”

Nyx was startled by Jacob’s words, and a hint of fright surfaced in the depths of her eyes before she quickly covered it with anger as she demanded, ”What are you talking about now?”

Jacob scoffed, ”Just because I’m not in the Virtual Star World, do you think I won’t find out about the debt that you’ve incurred through reckless gambling?”

Nyx’s angry expression instantly flattened as a hint of panic surfaced in her eyes, as she knew her fear had come true.

She fiercely cursed under her breath, ”That traitorous Blacky dared to tattle on me! And here I thought he was a loyal subordinate of this lady!”

Jacob’s eyes shimmered coldly as he retorted, ”Although I don’t care about what you do in Virtual Star World as long as you won’t draw attention to us, this time, I won’t overlook even the slightest mishap.

”I’ve spent too much time and resources on this Nightmare Plan, and it was all based on your guarantees. Now that I’ve delivered on my promise, I’m expecting the same from you. If I don’t get the promised results, then you should be prepared to be confined in the Nightmare Realm for countless years!”

Nyx glared at Jacob with indignation, but she didn’t retort because Jacob was telling the truth, and it wasn’t like he had stopped her from doing whatever she wanted in the Virtual Star World.

However, she still felt like killing Black Mechanic for revealing her shameful conduct, especially the secret of her gambling debt, and all the money she had received from Jacob was already gone.

”Alright!” Nyx faintly muttered despite her unwillingness.

Jacob didn’t continue on the topic since money on the Star Network meant little to him at this point; he was only interested in materials of Legendary King Rank.

”How long before you start reaping lifespan?” Jacob questioned.

Nyx seemed to have to gain the opportunity to show off and change Jacob’s opinion of her as she proudly stated, ”With the Nightmare Domain that I’ve been developing with Dream Law and that soul farm’s owner memories, my innate abilities’ output has been multiplied.

”Furthermore, because the Virtual Star World followed similar principles to use a fragment of soul to draw people into the virtual star world, but the main point in this situation is that there aren’t any higher consciousness present to restrict my movements.

”As long as Blacky can mask and restrain those ’Machina Units’ enough for me to spread my Nightmare Domain, those Machina Units have more powerful consciousness or soul than you, the owner of the Dreamscape Nightmare Realm; they won’t be able to reverse the damage!

”Meanwhile, by the time they realized my presence, you would’ve already gathered millions of years of lifespan through the Nightmare Realm, and it’s the minimum estimate I’m making.

”The longer we can keep the Nightmare Plan in motion, the more lifespan we can gather, enough to probably outmatch the lifespan we got from that soul farm!

”Lastly, if Blackly can gain just twenty percent control over the Virtual Star World, with my Nightmare Domain, I can take over the entire Legendary Spectrum Sky City, completely cutting off SAAI’s influence.”

Nyx’s eyes shone with cruel ambition. ”At that time, we can fight head-on for control over the entire Virtual Star World!”

Jacob’s eyes shone with anticipation because, according to the analyses and all the calculations done by him and Black Mechanic with all the input Nyx provided about the Nightmare Domain, every word Nyx just said has a high possibility of turning into reality!

At that moment, Nyx flashed a resolute smile before she declared with a wishful expression, ”If...I mean, if we can spread my Nightmare Domain to the entire Virtual Star World, I’ll show you the true terror of the Nightmare Domain I’ve created!”
