Cursed Immortality

Chapter 832  Stratagem against the Vampire Princess! (2)

Graceyʼs expression was icy cold when she heard Jacobʼs bold demand. As the princess of the Vampire Clans, she had never suffered such humiliation or been in a situation where she had to compromise.

Even in the Path of Legend, she only has a handful of people who could make her wary, but even they wonʼt dare to go overboard like Jacob did now. The most infuriating thing was that Jacob was a ʼdark beingʼ or that she thought, which means that he should be submissive to her, yet he was not only opposing her but also coveting her treasures! Furthermore, no matter how she wreaks her brain, she cannot figure out who Jacob is or when the skeleton race has such a talented person among them who can control lightning. Not to mention, she knows the people from the dead factions sent here, and Jacob doesnʼt match any of their descriptions.

However, now that things have escalated to this point, Jacob is holding the initiated against her, and his power level is unknown. But she still thinks that it was only until they were in the Path of Legend; once they get out, sheʼll have a payback with interest.

As for suspecting him from a person from the lesser galaxies, her arrogance simply didnʼt allow her to think this way because she or anyone from the middle galaxies looked down on the lesser galaxies and treated them like their pawns and prey.

Lastly, she suppressed her urge to cast a forbidden spell on Jacob because he somehow managed to not only infiltrate but also become the winner of this trial. She didnʼt know if she managed to kill me, but she would still get the Ascension Permit since only the winner could claim the rewards. This was the biggest reason she wasnʼt going on a rampage.

At this moment, her crimson eyes shone, and a strange power suddenly surfaced in them, making her appearance even more alluring and charming. ”Can you please reconsider? Iʼll be helpless after you take my treasure…” Her voice was gentle and filled with fear as if she were a weak woman in distress.

But in Jacobʼs eyes, she was disgusting as he instantly saw a magic ripple emitting from her and her voice; she was clearly trying to use some kind of charm ability on him, which clearly wouldnʼt work on him even if he didnʼt have the cursed heart, just his spiritual nebula was enough was to block this kind of ability from a Quasi Legend.

”Your Highness, these small tricks wonʼt work on me. So, if you donʼt want to make a deal, then how about you try snatching the Ascension Permit from me? Iʼll give you a fair chance, but please donʼt blame me for being merciless!” Jacobʼs mocking tone was overbearing yet filled with confidence.

Gracey instantly dropped the act while she was secretly alarmed. She thought she would at least give Jacob some trouble, but from the looks of it, he didnʼt even flinch. ”Sir, there is no need for that; I was just testing you. Since you are this powerful, I donʼt have any more misgivings. Iʼm willing to part with my Domanial Neckless as long as youʼre willing to sign a Zodiac Soul Contract. Just as you say, this is the perfect way to ensure no one between us will go back on our words, and weʼll also ensure both of our safety.” She finally conceded after she sensed that things were going south, and Jacob struck another blow to her confidence. ”Sir, there is no need for that; I was just testing you. Although he had never come in contact with the Zodiac Soul Contract, Autarch had acquired knowledge about them. The Zodiac Soul Contracts were different from Zodiac Contracts because, according to the information he had, the Zodiac Contracts werenʼt strong enough to pose a threat to a Legendary Rank Being! Because the Legendary Beings have the Soul Totems, which means powerful souls, and despite the potency of the Zodiac Contractsʼ punishment, it can only harm or damage the soul totem of a legendary being, not completely kill them!

This was especially true for a Legendary Lord and Legendary King, for they can use their law-based abilities to directly nullify the Zodiac Contracts. Thatʼs where the Zodiac Soul Contacts came in, for they can bind soul totems or simply souls of any soul-based being.

It doesnʼt matter how powerful or what kind of tricks the other party had; there was no escaping from the penalty of the Zodiac Soul Contract.

However, a Zodiac Soul Contract was far more expensive than a Zodiac Contract, and only people like Gracey could afford it.

Still, Jacob was unafraid, and his purpose in doing this was to give Gracey a false sense of security.

”Alright, you can prepare it while I take care of this.” Jacob agreed before he finally looked at the list. Since the fish had already taken the bait, it was only a matter of time before she found herself entrapped on a hook. Graceyʼs expression fell when she saw how casual Jacob was, as if she were no threat to him. She silently noted this offense in her mind as well. But she didnʼt do anything and started to make the soul contact with an icy look.
