Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Boom!

By this point, the ground coming into contact with the inferno melted away as it was reduced down to a molten liquid that turned the area affected by the inferno into a sea of lava that burned anything it came into contact with.

However, the inferno still didn’t seem to have reached its peak yet as the temperature continued to increase even further the closer to Feng Chen it got!

Going anywhere near the inferno or the area that it had affected at this point in time was nothing short of suicidal.

Everyone felt a deep sense of fear at that moment as they looked towards the Grand Elder of the Raging Flam Sect.

Even the disciples and elders of the Raging Flame sect felt how terrifying the Grand Elder was at this moment.

The difference between them was simply too big, and they could not feel anything other than awe mixed with a profound sense of fear towards his display of power when looking towards the figure of the Grand Elder.

At the same time, they also felt how strong their sect’s guardian formation truly was for the first time!

”Hmph!”

Feng Chen did not waste his time just observing the attack heading towards him, as he once again prepared his sword as his sword intent covered his sword.

However, compared to Xuan Hao who had comprehended True Sword Intent, Feng Chen was still stuck with Nascent Sword Intent.

The Nascent Sword Intent of Feng Chen was not weak in the slightest and was what had allowed him to fight with the Sect Master of the Raging Flame Sect evenly in the past. Even though he had been a minor cultivation realm below him!

At this time, Feng Chen’s Nascent Sword Intent showed signs of evolving into to True Sword Intent at any moment, as he had already reached the peak when it came to refining his Nascent Sword Intent…

Fwoosh~

The terrifying inferno released by the Grand Elder of the Raging Flame Sect finally arrived in front of Feng Chen.

Crashing directly into him as he used his sword to once again try and cut through the inferno.

Bang!

The terrifying inferno crashed with the sword attack of Feng Chen as it slowly began to melt away the Nascent Sword Intent along with the sword attack itself.

The inferno was simply too strong as the sword attack launched by Feng Chen had no way to deal with it. Only capable of holding it back for a short moment before it resumed its path towards Feng Chen, who was now only a few meters away from the inferno.

Seeing this, Feng Chen switched from an offensive into a defensive position as he put his sword in front of him as he used his Nascent Sword Intent along with his qi to form a protective barrier around himself. Preparing to meet the incoming inferno head on now that he had failed to destroy it.

Fwoosh!

The inferno did not take long before it directly swallowed up Feng Chen as the protective barrier around him slowly began to melt under intense heat of the inferno.

Even his Nascent Sword Intent did not seem to be cable of lasting for much longer as it also showed signs of disappearing at any moment under the intense pressure of the inferno!

Splash!

As this process continued, the ground beneath Feng Chen turned into molten liquid as he suddenly found himself unable to find a stable footing as the ground beneath him was latterly melting away under the terrifying temperature of the inferno. Only by using his barrier to negate some of the sea of lava that was forming beneath him, was he able to remain standing.

If things continued like this, he would soon be swallowed up by the ground beneath him!

The spectators from both sides were horrified. They knew that if they were caught up in the inferno or the boiling liquid sea that had been formed, they would be completely vaporized. The wandering cultivators caught up in the attack earlier was more than enough for them to understand this…

”Haha! Feng Chen, it looks like you are going to die here! Without you, your Flying Sword Sect is nothing! Looks like we won’t even need the Azure Sky Kingdom’s help to deal with you in the future!”

Laughing madly as he saw the barrier protecting Feng Chen from the inferno slowly melt away, the Grand Elder waved his hand and sent another symbol flying over towards the inferno.

Ptch!

The symbol flew out, but the Grand Elder seemed to have exceed his limits as he threw up a mouthful of blood after sending the symbol out.

”Haha! This will be your end!”

Not affected at all by this, the Grand Elder continued laughing as he kept his focus on Feng Chen as the symbol landed on the inferno before merging together with it like the other symbols.

Fwoosh!

The inferno seemed to suddenly have become injected with a large amount of energy as it suddenly flared up and expanded by over one hundred meters in all directions. Directly swallowing up everything in its path as the temperature inside its core where Feng Chen was located grew even more extreme!

”That was close…”

”Luckily we retreated before the inferno expanded… If not…”

The spectating wandering cultivators sucked in a cold of cold air, as they looked over at the devastation caused by the sudden expansion of the inferno.

Luckily, they had already retreated into the distance. If not… They would have most likely perished from the sudden expansion of the inferno!

Thinking about this, they could not help but turn their attention back towards the centre of the inferno where Feng Chen was located… But they were disappointed, as the inferno obstructed their vision. Not allowing for them to see what was happening inside of the inferno.

”Looks like the Flying Sword Sect lost their Sect Master…”

”Well… What do you expect? The Raging Flame Sect is simply too powerful! And he even attacked them when they could rely on their sect guardian formation… This is simply too reckless…”

”W-what is that!?”

As the wandering cultivators were discussing among themselves, a bright silver light suddenly appeared at the edge of the inferno as it continued to expand before covering the entire inferno and…

BOOM!

A large explosion suddenly occurred as the silver light engulfed the entire inferno.

Whoosh!

Following this, a large shockwave swept through the surroundings, causing the wandering cultivators observing from the side to be thrown into the distance before landing on the ground a few dozen meters away from the spot they were standing at before.

”Wha-”

The Grand Elder did not expect for this to happen as he could only stare in disbelief as the figure of Feng Chen was slowly revealed at the centre of the explosion.

…

”Hm… Looks like you need a bit of help?”

”No! I-I can continue! I will deal with the Raging Flame Sect myself!”

A short time before the explosion, Feng Chen had heard Xuan Hao’s voice echo out inside of his head as he was completely engulfed by the inferno. The barrier around him melting together with his Nascent Sword Intent, but even then, he did not want to admit defeat!

He wanted to extract revenge by himself!

”I see… Your Nascent Sword Intent is already about to breakthrough and evolve into True Sword Intent… How about I lend a hand and help your breakthrough by letting you experience True Sword Intent first-hand?”

Having arrived in the air above the raging inferno, Xuan Hao looked down at Feng Chen as he asked him through his divine sense.

”That… Fine…”

”Great! I hope you can successfully breakthrough and obtain True Sword Intent!”

Not seeing any reason to refuse given his current situation, Feng Chen agreed with Xuan Hao as he suddenly heard him talk again before a bright silver light suddenly appeared at the edge of his vision.

The small silver light at first seemed weak and fragile when it made contact with the inferno, but this only lasted for an instant as the inferno was soon engulfed by the silver light.

For a short moment, Feng Chen felt like he saw a massive sea of swords filling his vision as the silver light appeared directly in front of him.

BOOM!

This, however, did not continue, as the silver light destroyed the inferno in the next instant, causing the sea of swords to disappear along with it.

”This is…!”

Ignoring everything around him as he focused on remembering the sea of swords he had seen earlier; Feng Chen did not notice that his formerly weakening Nascent Sword Intent suddenly underwent a transformation as it seemed to have been injected with new life.

The now revitalized Nascent Sword Intent did not just stop at recovering its strength, but instead began to grow even more powerful as it continued to improve under the subconscious guidance of Feng Chen until it reached a brand-new realm.

Boom!

After only a few seconds, Feng Chen returned back from the immersed state he had been in earlier as a small silvery light flicked at the tips of his fingers.

”T-this is… True Sword Intent!”
