This task must be prioritized as a key project and completed as soon as possible!

“Dong dong dong—” A knock on the door sounded.

“Come in.”

Immediately, Gao Mengting, dressed in casual attire, walked in with a stack of documents in her hand, looking hurried.

“When did you get back? Are you tired?” Tang Song asked with concern.

Gao Mengting placed the documents on his desk and smiled, “Just got back. The new batch of clearance items has been counted, and this is the full list.”

The development of the livestream had gone unexpectedly well; the summer clothes from her previous inventory had sold out, and off-season clothes had been cleared out at low prices.

Now that the new merchandise had arrived, livestreaming could proceed smoothly again.

Tang Song picked up the inventory list for a quick glance and observed his somewhat exhausted partner.

It was time to establish a dedicated supply chain management department.

Purchasing was one thing, but inventory management and logistics were quite tedious and incredibly time-consuming.

At present, Gao Mengting’s main efforts should be focused on the livestream room, not on these trivial matters.

But this was important too; they would need to contact Executive Recruiters to filter candidates.

Immediately after, another thought popped into Tang Song’s head: Liu Mingchang.

This 30-year-old guy was decent, with years of warehousing and logistics experience. Perhaps they could give him a try.

Of course, what was more crucial was that the “social life” task was triggered by him, indicating he was one of the meaningful social connections.

Maybe there would be a nice surprise.

However, there was no rush for that; they could take their time.

Having thought through all this, Tang Song put down the list in his hand.

He asked his youthful and fiery partner, “Mengting, what do you envision our company’s livestream room to be like in the future?”

The renovation was underway; the task of [shocking employees] had to be scheduled soon.

In terms of livestream room decoration, Gao Mengting was more professional than himself, so he was keen to hear her ideas.

Gao Mengting smiled, leaned back on his desk, took out her mobile phone, opened a photo, and placed it before him.

She spoke gaily, “About that, I’ve been fantasizing about it for a while, and I sketched it out myself. Later my junior came to share the apartment, so I had her help me make a complete version with professional drawing software…

The overall style is like a walk-in closet in a mansion. Our target customers are young women who pursue sophistication and have a certain spending power.

The hidden light strips in the wardrobe can adjust the color temperature, which is convenient for showcasing clothes of different styles and colors…”

To highlight the image of the host, the main light is a 200w plus a 90 deep softbox…”

She tilted slightly, her eyes bright as she excitedly talked about her dream, growing more enthusiastic as she spoke.

In the end, she simply walked around the room, gesturing excitedly to Tang Song about her ideas.

In a sense, she was a true idealist.

She harbored great enthusiasm for success and the future.

While acting with seriousness and calm, there was also innocence and vivacity, which was the most charming aspect of her.

Tang Song liked to be friends with such people.

He casually forwarded her design to his WeChat, and just as he returned to the main interface, a message popped up.

[Dong Zhiping: “Senior, are you free tonight? I’d like to take you out for dinner.”]

Tang Song looked up, waved his phone at her, and spoke calmly, “Dong Zhiping is asking if you’re free tonight, he wants to take you out to dinner.”

Gao Mengting took the phone, replied briefly, and explained, “He’s a schoolmate of mine who used to work as a market analyst for a large e-commerce company in Hang City. I heard he recently returned to Yan City, and I was thinking of poaching him for our company.”

“Hmm,” Tang Song nodded, “Go ahead, continue with our livestream room topic. The way you speak about it gets me excited, too.”

With that, he got up and joined Gao Mengting’s side.

The two sat side by side on the sofa back, looking out at the miniaturized cityscape through the glass curtain wall, and started chatting away.

…

May 23, 2023, Tuesday, sunny turning to cloudy, 17~30°C.

Zhao Yaqian got up early.

While using the restroom, she carefully felt around, and it seemed that the injuries from playing basketball with her boyfriend had fully healed.

That meant she could play basketball to her heart’s content again!

The 19-year-old girl, having tasted the forbidden fruit for the first time, was filled with interest.

And especially since her boyfriend was so awesome, she was somewhat impatient.

After getting ready with care, she walked out of the bedroom to find He Liting had already bought breakfast.

The two sat at the dining table in the living room and started their meal.

He Liting asked, “Have you not finished handling your resignation yet?”

“Mhm,” Zhao Yaqian replied, biting into a pork bun and puffing out her cheeks, her voice muffled, “The beauty salon is really short-staffed. The manager is already recruiting, and I saw there were interviews yesterday, so I should be able to leave in the next couple of days.”

During the most challenging times, it was Isa Beauty Salon that had given her an opportunity.

Now, even if she was leaving, Zhao Yaqian hoped it wouldn’t affect the beauty salon’s operations.

“That’s good.”

Zhao Yaqian took a sip of the hot millet porridge and said, “Ting, I don’t know why, but thinking about resigning makes me feel a bit odd, and I can’t sleep well at night.”

“That’s normal, after all, it’s a stable job that you found with difficulty. You’re just showing typical lack of security, plus you have debts, so you feel this way. It’ll get better once you sign the trust.”

He Liting understood this feeling too well; she and Zhao Yaqian were both from small places with little support from their families.
