Charm point maxed out, inheriting game assets

Chapter 108: Chapter 107: I Prefer the Bigger Ones Chapter 108: Chapter 107: I Prefer the Bigger Ones May 6, 2023, Saturday, cloudy, 13~25°C.

Although today is Saturday, it’s still a working day.

At 7 a.m., Sun Youguang got up on time.

He went to the kitchen, sliced the steamed buns thinly, coated them in beaten eggs, and fried them until golden brown on both sides.

He swiftly made a seaweed egg drop soup too.

He brought breakfast to the dining table.

His girlfriend had already tidied up the room and done her hair.

The two sat at the table, eating while talking about each other’s work.

Sun Youguang was very satisfied with his current company, enjoying light workloads, a superior working environment, and young, easygoing bosses who were reliable in both speech and action.

After breakfast, they together prepared lunch, packed it into lunch boxes.

Shouldered their bags and headed to work.

Li Juan’s job was also in the city center, so their routes overlapped for the first half of their journey.

They took the bus, then the subway, entering the Cloud Stream Building.

He swiped open the company door, right at 8:30.

He tidied up the office area, replaced the garbage bags, poured himself a cup of water, and started his routine accounting tasks.

“Good morning! Brother Sun,” said HR officer Zhang Ying as she walked in and placed her bag on her workstation.

Sun Youguang smiled and waved, “Good morning.”

Since it wasn’t time to start work yet, Zhang Ying didn’t go to the front desk but sat at her desk and chatted with him.

“By the way, Zhang Ying, you mentioned yesterday that President Tang had hired an executive recruitment firm. How long do you think it will take to build the team?” Sun Youguang was very keen on this matter.

He had finally found such an ideal job and hoped the company would get on track soon.

Moreover, with little financial work to do each day, he felt uneasy idling his time away, eager to get busy and prove his worth.

Zhang Ying pondered and replied, “I think it should be sorted out by next week. The major shareholder of Knowledgeable is DJRH, a leading company in the industry. Their recruitment system is shared with DJRH.

I heard President Gao say that they aren’t recruiting for us position by position but directly poaching teams—well-integrated teams that come with background checks and screenings.”

“Wow! That’s incredible,” Sun Youguang exclaimed, his excitement palpable.

“Of course! What did you expect with President Tang in charge!”

They chatted a while longer about recruitment.

Zhang Ying glanced at her phone screen, suddenly letting out a yelp, “Ah!”

A rush of excitement flushed her face.

Sun Youguang hurriedly asked, “What happened? What’s wrong?”

Licking her lips, Zhang Ying excitedly said, “Next month, Su Yu is coming to Yan City for a concert! Right at the Yan Province Olympic Sports Center!”

Sun Youguang merely responded with an “oh,” uninterested in celebrity gossip.

Of course, he knew of Su Yu, the national goddess and Huaxia’s current superstar.

Zhang Ying, excited, paced around the office holding her phone, sharing her joy with fellow fans in the fan group.

In the past two years, Su Yu rarely held concerts.

This year, there was only supposed to be one in Shanghai, and now, unexpectedly, another was added in Yan City.

Yan City, as a second-tier city, didn’t usually stand out in Huaxia; heaven knows what she was thinking.

But the goddess always moved on a whim; she might have simply wanted to visit, and so she was.

For Yan City’s fans, it was nothing short of a huge surprise.

The news was released early this morning, and it had already hit the top of Weibo’s trending topics.

Zhang Ying, a die-hard fan, was now figuring out how to snatch a ticket.

However, she wasn’t holding out much hope.

A top star with only two concerts a year—it was easy to guess how difficult the tickets would be to get.

Perhaps it would even boost the local tourism industry.

…

“Morning, President Gao!”

“President Tang, good morning!”

The two bosses arrived at the company one after another.

The handsome man and beautiful woman added a lot to the office.

Zhang Ying quickly went to the front desk, while Sun Youguang straightened up, perking himself up.

At 10 a.m.

President Tang suddenly stood up and clapped his hands, “The legal firm has finished setting up our labor and employment system, comrades, get ready to sign your contracts.”

Gao Mengting laughed, “I’ll go print it out.”

Upon hearing this, Sun Youguang’s face lit up with an excited smile.

It was his third day on the job, and he hadn’t signed the contract yet, so he was feeling a bit uneasy. But now, it was finally coming to fruition.

After a while, he walked into the conference room and received his own employment contract and confidentiality agreement.

Position: Accountant, Contract Duration: 3 years, Probation Period: 3 months, with full benefits including social insurance and housing fund.

Base Salary: 5500 yuan/month, Probation Salary: 5500 yuan/month.

Sun Youguang looked up in surprise and blurted out, “President Gao, isn’t there a mistake with the probation salary?”

During the interview, it was discussed as an 80% rate.

Gao Mengting’s face carried a gentle smile as she said, “President Tang and I both appreciate you, so we decided not to discount it. It’s going to get busy soon, and as our only financial staff, you need to work hard. If you perform well, you might become a permanent employee ahead of time.”

Then she added, “This is not just pie in the sky.”

Sun Youguang’s face showed an excited expression, “Thank you, leaders! I will definitely do a good job managing our finances!”

After filling in his information, he signed and stamped his fingerprint.

Leaving the conference room, Sun Youguang couldn’t wait to share the good news with his girlfriend.

A monthly increase of 500 yuan was significant for them.

“Ding Dong—”

[Juan’er: “That’s awesome! Plus, you have housing fund now, so let’s go look at houses at the end of the year. With both our funds, we can take out a loan together, which means we don’t need a commercial loan.”]

Sun Youguang replied with a smile, “Let’s calculate our savings in our little ‘gold vault’ when I get home tonight.”

With their salaries, they couldn’t afford a house in Yan City, but it was possible in their small hometown county.

Once they secured a house, getting married would logically be the next step.

They were both 26 years old this year, and transitioning from school uniforms to wedding dresses was the greatest happiness.

…

12:10 PM

Tang Song walked into the general manager’s office and leaned back in the chair.

He opened the system interface and entered the warehouse.

Under Wen Ruan’s guidance the day before, his one-hour fitness routine wasn’t intense, so he didn’t use the “Recovery Potion” or the “Magic Protein Powder.”

He selected “Magic Protein Powder” and used it immediately.

Suddenly, a powdery substance appeared in his mouth, tasting a bit astringent.

Tang Song chewed gently, mixing the powder with his saliva before swallowing.

He waited for a while but didn’t notice anything out of the ordinary.

Arriving at Rhythm Gym, he changed into his workout clothes and filled up a water bottle.

He started with a 10-minute warm-up on the treadmill and elliptical machine, then used light dumbbells to loosen up his joints.

Tang Song began working out according to the fitness plan Wen Ruan had sent him.

He had just completed a few sets of reverse pull-ups when he saw a familiar figure approaching from the entrance.

A slim-fit T-shirt paired with high-waisted straight-leg pants showcased a perfect waistline, and with each movement carrying an air of femininity, she carried a large black gym bag.

“Weren’t you supposed to not come today?” Tang Song murmured in surprise, unable to keep his lips from slightly turning up.

According to what he had heard from Hu Mingli, Wen Ruan indeed only worked out at the gym on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

The likelihood of her showing up today was significantly due to him.

Feeling specially treated by the older sister figure, he was very happy inside.

Tang Song got off the equipment and greeted her proactively as she approached, “Wen Ruan, you came.”

Wen Ruan nodded at him, “Good afternoon, I’ll go change first.”

With that, she headed straight for the changing room.

When she reappeared, she was already in her workout attire.

Not as sexy as the day before, but still the kind of outfit she’d post in her social circles, it still radiated appeal.

A faint scent of perfume wafted over, the sweet and moist citrus smell mingled with a light floral fragrance, reminiscent of a summer afternoon.

Elegant and mature, very charming.

Wen Ruan stopped in front of him, looking amused, “Today you’re training your back and biceps. There are two movements that are a bit risky. After thinking it over, I decided to come and protect you. Aren’t you touched?”

“Very touched,” Tang Song replied, eyes fixed on her without blinking.

Wen Ruan pursed her lips, “Let’s start with four sets of barbell curls. Let me see your strength.”

After finishing speaking, she squeezed his bicep and looked at him softly, “It’s a bit small, little brother. I prefer them bigger.”

Tang Song’s face turned red in an instant, thoroughly flustered by her flirtations.

This kind of mature older sister was clearly too much for the current him to handle!
