Chaotic Sword God

Chapter 3986: Returning to the Reverent Observance Heaven

Following the Worldless Immortal Exalt, the first master of the Path of Truth and Illusion stopped hiding and also emerged.

“I didn’t think that the two of you would also be here. That really has surprised me.” The Myriad Gold Ancestor glanced at the Worldless Immortal Exalt and the first master of the Path of Truth and Illusion as his eyes shone.

The Worldless Immortal Exalt glanced at the first master of the Path of Truth and Illusion who stood to one side silently. A faint hint of sternness flashed through the depths of his eyes. Afterwards, he looked at the Jade Lotus Master and said, “You can tell us now.”

Faced with two Sixth Heavenly Layer Immortal Exalts and a Fifth Heavenly Layer Immortal Exalt, the Jade Lotus Master did not have the courage to hide anything. She immediately told them what had happened here. However, when she approached the topic of the Illusionary Ancestor, she spoke with great prudence, refusing to elaborate.

After explaining everything, the Jade Lotus Master became rather confused. She did not see any hints of fury or hatred in the eyes of the Myriad Gold Ancestor, the Worldless Immortal Exalt, or the first master of the Path of Truth and Illusion. As a matter of fact, there were even hints of excitement and glee in their eyes.

“Fellows, have you really come for the Master of Profound Secrets’ death?” the Jade Lotus Master said hesitantly. She felt like something was amiss.

“Of course!” The Worldless Immortal Exalt smiled mysteriously and said, “Thank you for the information. The three of us still have other matters to deal with, so we’ll be taking our leave.”

As he said that, the Worldless Immortal Exalt discreetly communicated with the Myriad Gold Ancestor and the first master of the Path of Truth and Illusion before leaving. He immediately vanished.

The first master of the Path of Truth and Illusion and the Myriad Gold Ancestor hesitated for a moment before leaving as well.

The Jade Lotus Master watched as the three experts disappeared. Her expression was uncertain and mixed.

“The three of them didn’t come for the Master of Profound Secrets’ death, as they’re completely unfazed by his death,” the Ancient Virtue Immortal Exalt drifted over slowly and said in thought.

The Jade Lotus Master nodded. She glanced at the bottomless hole in the centre of the Azure Light Mountain and said sternly, “I sensed it too. They don’t care about the Master of Profound Secrets’ fate, but they seem to be very interested in the traces here.”

The Jade Lotus Master paused and seemed to make a connection. She said with uncertainty, “Don’t tell me they’ve come for Yang Yutian?”

“Yang Yutian? Actually Yang Yutian again? Our knowledge of this person is far too lacking. We should properly investigate him…”

The Worldless Immortal Exalt, the Myriad Gold Ancestor, and the first master of the Path of Truth and Illusion hovered above a desert that was extremely distant from the Azure Light Mountain on the Jade’s End Heaven.

“Wordless Immortal Exalt, if you have something to say, just say it. I don’t have enough time to waste here,” the Myriad Gold Ancestor said emotionlessly.

The Worldless Immortal Exalt smiled and said, “Have you thought about working together?”

“I haven’t! Working together might lead to even more qualms,” the Myriad Gold Ancestor said without hesitation.

The first master of the Path of Truth and Illusion did not say anything. She only hovered there silently.

The Worldless Immortal Exalt continued to smile. He explained further. “In the Immortals’ World right now, we’re not the only three looking for Yang Yutian. Perhaps there are heavenly emperors secretly taking action as well. Since we know about Yang Yutian’s traces on the Jade’s End Heaven, we’re without a doubt one step ahead of everyone else. If we use this opportunity and work together, our chances of finding Yang Yutian will definitely be drastically increased.”

“However, the reason why I suggest we work together is not just to find Yang Yutian. Yang Yutian’s cultivation might not be anything impressive, but dealing with him is anything but simple. If we’re careless, it might even cost us our lives. After all, you’ve both witnessed what that formation is capable of.”

The Myriad Gold Ancestor looked down; the first master of the Path of Truth and Illusion was stern. They recalled the destructive power on the Azure Light Mountain once again. It was so great that it left them startled.

Even though they were extremely wary of the power of this formation, it did not frighten them. Instead, they desired it even more.

As long as they could dodge the devastating strike from the formation, Immortal Emperors would be no different from ants in their eyes.

The Worldless Immortal Exalt continued, “The first master of the Path of Truth and Illusion’s illusionary body can perfectly deceive others, which is ideal for triumphing over his formation. He’ll end up using the formation on the illusionary body. Meanwhile, fellow Myriad Gold’s Nine Dragons Prison Cauldron Formation can seal up space. As long as he’s in the formation, Yang Yutian will remain trapped no matter how good he is at hiding.”

“As for me, I grasp the Laws of Space; you should both be aware of the advantages. I don’t need to elaborate. As a result, if we work together, we can assist one another. Perhaps there might be some qualms and we’ll need to guard against one another, but the benefits still outweigh the disadvantages.”

“How will we split the goods?” the first master of the Path of Truth and Illusion said.

“That’ll obviously come down to our individual abilities once we capture Yang Yutian. Or, we can also come up with a way to split everything so that everyone benefits and doesn’t leave empty-handed,” the Worldless Immortal Exalt said with a smile.

The Myriad Gold Ancestor and the first master of the Path of Truth and Illusion sank into their thoughts as if they were weighing the advantages against the disadvantages.

“Alright. I agree to work together.” The Myriad Gold Ancestor finally made his decision after several seconds of thought.

The first master of the Path of Truth and Illusion did not refuse either. She also joined after some thought.

......

…

In outer space, Jian Chen travelled quickly using the Laws of Space under the cover of the mask from the Illusionary Daemon race and the Divine Armour of Heavenflight.

Now, his Laws of Space had already reached the Ninth Heavenly Layer of Immortal Emperor. Coupled with the natural talent of the Spatial Insect Emperor, Jian Chen’s usage and grasp over the Laws of Space had already surpassed other experts of the same level. He no longer needed to rely on teleportation formations to travel through outer space.

It was not peaceful in the sea of stars. Various dangers also lurked here. Some of the perils were even enough to threaten Immortal Exalts, let alone Immortal Emperors.

As a result, along the way, Jian Chen encountered many battles between cultivators. There were also pursuits between immortal vessels, as well as star beasts prowling around on the hunt.

In order to hide his tracks, Jian Chen did not interfere with anything along the way. The mask from the Illusionary Daemon race and the Divine Armour of Heavenflight allowed him to avoid these battles perfectly.

Finally, after several days, Jian Chen had crossed an extremely great distance and returned to the Reverent Observance Heaven.

Coming back here, he only had a single goal—to take back the Energy-gathering Divine Mountain in the Sword Sect of Violet Heavens with him!

“I wonder if the Daoist Sect of Xuanchi, the Sword Sect of Grand Sun, the Tianhai clan, and the Three Swords sect managed to leave behind their legacies or not…” Jian Chen sighed inside as he gazed at the fragment of land that hovered before him. These organisations had all been destroyed by the Immortal Sect of Colossal Elephants. It could be said that he was indirectly responsible for their destruction.

However, Jian Chen was powerless over this. He could not give up on the Sword Sect of Violet Heavens’ revenge and stop going after the Immortal Sect of Colossal Elephants just because they would murder the innocent.

Before long, Jian Chen arrived before a lofty, majestic city. It was the Observance Heaven City.
