Chaotic Sword God

“Are there any grievances between the Thousand Mountains clan and the Sword Sect of Violet Heavens? Or perhaps the Thousand Mountains clan has targeted the Sword Sect of Violet Heavens in the past?” Jian Chen said in thought.

Xue Ji pondered before saying, “According to my understanding, there has never been any contact between the Thousand Mountains clan and the Sword Sect of Violet Heavens.”

Jian Chen nodded. He understood that the information in Xue Ji’s possession could not be too complete. After all, some secretive matters would be covered up flawlessly, so even Immortal Exalts could not find anything. Given Xue Ji’s strength, she obviously would not know too much.

“Thousand Mountains clan! Lu Wujin!” Jian Chen murmured softly. He could not help but recall the recent encirclement outside the Reverent Observance Heaven when his identity had been exposed. The Space-splitting Venerable and numerous other Immortal Exalts had intercepted him. At that moment, someone wielding a sovereign god artifact had appeared.

He had never seen this person before, but he learnt his identity from the cries of the surrounding people.

He was Lu Wujin, one of the vice city lords of the Observance Heaven City!

Lu Wujin’s appearance had drawn away the attention of a few experts. The presence of heavenly emperors also momentarily distracted everyone, allowing Jian Chen to slip away successfully.

However, Jian Chen was certain that Lu Wujin had not shown up at that time to come after him. Not only did he not lock onto him with his presence, but his attention seemed to be on the other Immortal Exalts as well.

Since Lu Wujin was not after him, then there was only one other possibility—he was there to assist him in escaping.

Xue Ji hovered in the air uneasily, waiting for Jian Chen’s decision. Even though she had already thought it through herself, she still did not wish for them to come into conflict with the Thousand Mountains clan.

After all, the Thousand Mountains clan was also an organisation on the Taiji Heaven, just like the Black Demon Palace!

“C’mon, let’s go and search the next place!” Suddenly, Jian Chen stowed away the Energy-gathering Divine Mountain with a flip of his hand and left without hesitation.

Watching Jian Chen fly away, Xue Ji was taken aback. She immediately caught up and asked, “Since the Energy-gethering Divine Mountain is in the Thousand Mountains clan, aren’t you going to pay them a visit?”

“There’s no hurry. I’ll obviously be taking back the Energy-gathering Divine Mountain from the Thousand Mountains clan, but now is not the time. I’ll find a time in the future to pay a visit to the Observance Heaven City and meet with their strongest ancestor, Lu Wujin. I’ll see if I can get the Energy-gathering Divine Mountain through peaceful means,” Jian Chen said without looking back. He was in quite a good mood.

He was not afraid of being unable to retrieve the Energy-gathering Divine Mountains. He was afraid of not being able to find where they were hidden.

He had tracked down the whereabouts of the fifth Energy-gathering Divine Mountain so quickly, so Jian Chen was extremely satisfied with this efficiency.

Only thirteen remained out of the seventeen lost Energy-gathering Divine Mountains.

Afterwards, Jian Chen continued searching through the Taiji Heaven as if he refused to relent until he had turned over every single stone.

Before long, Jian Chen passed over a primitive mountain range before stopping above a great valley. He stared at the bottom of the valley, and his eyes shone with a strange colour.

“The spiritual Qi here seems to be rather unique,” Jian Chen muttered to himself softly.

Xue Ji looked around and said, “This is the Taiji mountain range. The Taiji mountain range is rather famous on our Taiji Heaven. Every several tens of thousand years, it will produce some special spiritual Qi. If the spiritual Qi is absorbed by weaker cultivators, they can benefit tremendously from it. Not only will their cultivation improve drastically, but it can even consolidate their foundations and purify their minds.”

“Among the thirty-three heavens of the Immortals’ World, this spiritual Qi is only produced on our Taiji Heaven, which is why it’s known as Taiji spiritual Qi.”

“However, once you reach Immortal Exalt, the Taiji spiritual Qi will lose its effects.”

After hearing that, Jian Chen’s eyes shone with a strange light. He reached out towards the valley beneath him, and the space in the entire valley twisted. The spiritual Qi within several thousand kilometres gathered towards him, amassing in his hand in the end. It turned into fist-sized ball of mist.

In the centre of the ball of mist was a wisp of grey spiritual Qi that seemed a little stronger. It was clearly different from the rest.

At this moment, the special strand of spiritual Qi was like a lively little snake. It slithered around in the ball of spiritual Qi in Jian Chen’s hand. It was filled with intelligence like a clever, living, little fairy.

When Xue Ji saw the wisp of spiritual Qi, her eyes shone with a strange colour. She said with some surprise, “This is the Taiji spiritual Qi I was talking about. Taiji spiritual Qi doesn’t usually appear. It only emerges from deep underground when it’s about to erupt once every several tens of thousand years.”

“In other words, the Taiji spiritual Qi is about to erupt from the ground?” Jian Chen asked. He constantly studied the Taiji spiritual Qi and also unleashed his powerful senses of the soul as a Ninth Heavenly Layer Immortal Emperor, extending it underground. He pierced through layers and layers of rock and soil, wanting to see how the Taiji spiritual Qi was formed.

However, in the deepest location, the senses of his soul were blocked by an invisible force, unable to advance even an inch past it.

Jian Chen was not surprised by this, as all of the heavens were like this. They were either protected by a powerful formation or there was a mysterious force. These barriers might have been nothing in the eyes of Immortal Exalts who had reached the peak of cultivation, but they were barriers that could not be traversed for Immortal Emperors.

“It’s said that in the most central location of the Taiji Heaven, there’s an extremely powerful Grand Exalt’s formation protecting it. It is believed the Taiji spiritual Qi seeps out from the Grand Exalt’s formation.” Perhaps because she noticed how Jian Chen was investigating deep underground, Xue Ji actively explained on the side.

This could be regarded as a great secret on the Taiji Heaven. Only a specific portion of experts who dwelled near the peak knew about it.

At this moment, the spiritual Qi in the valley under Jian Chen suddenly began to multiply. It grew thicker and thicker before forming a great thick cloud, enveloping the entire mountain range.

A hint of surprise flashed through Jian Chen’s eyes, as the spiritual Qi in the mountain range was so dense that it almost rivalled the Skyscraping World.

As the spiritual Qi multiplied, Jian Chen could clearly sense more and more Taiji spiritual Qi, scattered in every corner of the mountain range.

Simultaneously, many pairs of eyes snapped open across the various organisations of the Taiji Heaven, filled with depth and antiquity. All of them glanced in the direction of the Taiji Heaven.

“The Taiji spiritual Qi is about to erupt. Elders, lead the disciples to compete for it…”

“The spiritual Qi that erupts once every several tens of thousand years has finally appeared. This time, we must ensure that even more disciples obtain the Taiji spiritual Qi…”

“Every time the Taiji spiritual Qi erupts, the mainstay of an organisation will grow much stronger. We can’t let this opportunity slip past us…”

......

…

At this moment, the many organisations of the Taiji Heaven began to take action. It was not just peak organisations with Immortal Exalts. Even smaller organisations with only Immortal Emperors and Immortal Monarchs took part, leading their disciples in a scramble towards the Taiji mountain range.

Xue Ji gazed down from above the Taiji mountain range. “It’s impossible to hide the eruption of the Taiji spiritual Qi. It’ll become very busy here very soon. Even our Black Demon Palace will be sending disciples.”

“There isn’t anyone who seals off this place in an attempt to monopolise the spiritual Qi?” Jian Chen asked.

Xue Ji shook her head and said, “The Taiji spiritual Qi is something shared across the entire Taiji Heaven. The various organisations have already reached an agreement. Whenever the Taiji spiritual Qi erupts, they will all send their disciples here for a fair competition.”
