Chaotic Sword God

On the mountain peak of the Skyscraping World, the Immortal Exalts were scattered in the various regions. Everyone had their heads raised, staring at the highest point without blinking.

The supreme sword Qi danced madly for over an hour before the power finally reached its apex. Afterwards, powerful sword Qi erupted, directly plunging into the heavens and merging with the formations that protected the Skyscraping World.

If these formations corresponded to a sturdy lock, then the powerful sword Qi that erupted just now was the key.

When the sword Qi plunged into the formations, a gate hidden in the space there immediately opened silently.

However, when the gate opened up, the eyes of all of the Immortal Exalts gathered near the mountain peak narrowed. They were filled with great surprise and disbelief.

A woman currently sat in the gate, hovering in the air. An ancient sword wrapped in coarse cloth was placed across her knees.

“It’s the daughter of the Chaotic Star Heavenly Emperor from the Heavenly Star Palace, Xing Caijian. W-what’s she doing in there?”

“How exactly did Xing Caijian get inside?”

......

…

When they saw Xing Caijian, all of the Immortal Exalts gathered there were greatly surprised. They were filled with great doubts.

Even Jian Chen was surprised. It was no wonder that he did not find Xing Caijian despite roaming the mountain peak for so long. As it turned out, she had already entered a special place blocked off from everyone else.

At this moment, a blinding ball of light drifted out from the gate. It radiated with the profound Laws of the Sword, immediately exposing itself before all of the Immortal Exalts.

“The seed of ways. That’s the seed of ways…”

“It’s emerged. The seed of ways has finally emerged…”

Immediately, the eyes of many Immortal Exalts lit up with burning desire.

However, the formations of the Skyscraping World restricted flight. They could only hover at a low altitude. Once they crossed this threshold, they would be suppressed by the power of the formations. As a result, as they gazed at the seed of ways in the sky, none of them moved recklessly.

That height was beyond their reach!

At this moment, the seed of ways drifted out from the gate in the sky before falling rapidly towards a certain location, vanishing from view very quickly.

At the same time, the Immortal Exalts who were all ready to set off vanished, racing towards where the seed of ways fell as quickly as possible.

Jian Chen moved as well. His body seemed to merge into space completely as he used the Laws of Space to travel. His speed had already surpassed most Immortal Exalts in the Skyscraping World.

At this moment, the seed of ways that had fallen from the sky hovered a metre off the ground in the centre of a rocky area. It was only the size of a fist, shining with blinding light. Layers of the Laws of the Sword wrapped around it.

It was like a tiny fairy, filled with intelligence and energy. It drifted through the rocky region and would pause from time to time as if it was in thought, curious about everything in the surroundings.

“Hahaha, I’m actually the first one to find the seed of ways. Looks like the seed of ways is destined to be mine this time.” At this moment, excited laughter rang out from nearby. Several dozen kilometres away, an old man appeared. He stared at the seed of ways in front of him with burning interest. He was in fantastic spirits.

Soon, he took a step and immediately crossed the distance, arriving before the seed of ways. His hand surged with energy, directly reaching towards the seed of ways.

Immediately, space seemed to freeze. The old man’s action was combined with a technique, directly locking up the space within several dozen metres of him as if he was trying to grip everything in that area.

The seed of ways seemed to be greatly startled. With a flash, it appeared several dozen kilometres away like it had teleported. It was completely unaffected by the restraining force.

“Hmm? It actually escaped?” The old man was taken aback, but he began to laugh shortly afterwards. “Sure enough, the rumours are true. The seed of ways possesses a certain level of intelligence, and it has some kind of connection with the peak formations of the Skyscraping World. Capturing it will not be easy.”

“But that’s fine. Since I’m the first to find you, it means that your destiny lies with me, so you’ll be mine sooner or later.”

As he said that, the old man arrived before the seed of ways with another step. Surging energy erupted from his body. He began to freeze this space with a secret technique, reaching towards the seed of ways again.

This time, his hand seemed to become the sky, covering a range of several dozen kilometres.

However, the seed of ways ignored all of the restraints once again, arriving over a hundred kilometres away with a flash.

The old man did not give up. He tried again and again, trying all of the methods he could think of. After using all of his strength, he still failed to capture the seed of ways.

“Why is it so hard to capture?” Watching the time trickle by, the old man lost his cool. He gradually began to panic.

“Hahahaha, seed of ways, I’ve finally found you.” At this moment, a resonant voice rang out. A second Immortal Exalt had arrived. He beamed with joy, directly throwing himself at the seed of ways.

“Piss off, Uprooting Elder. I found the seed of ways first. I’m the one who is destined.” The old man who reached here first roared out furiously. His presence as an Immortal Exalt erupted as he directly charged towards the Uprooting Elder.

In the next moment, the two of them clashed. Violent storms of energy erupted. Each clash would result in deafening booms.

The seed of ways was like an extremely timid fairy. The more violently they fought, the further away it backed until it vanished with a flash.

“Dammit, the seed of ways has already vanished. Stop fighting me and chase after it!”

The two Immortal Exalts both stopped at the same time and sped off, chasing after the seed of ways.

“Hmm? Seed of ways, I’ve found you. You’re not going anywhere…”

“Seed of ways, I’ve been waiting a very long time for you already. You’re my greatest hope at reaching the Third Heavenly Layer…”

......

…

Since all of the Immortal Exalts on the mountain peak had basically gathered towards the same location, the seed of ways ran into Immortal Exalt after Immortal Exalt as they converged as soon as it escaped.

For a moment, all of the Immortal Exalts used their abilities, trying everything within their arsenal to capture the seed of ways. As a matter of fact, some people had already set up traps, waiting for the seed of ways to walk right into them.

However, in the Skyscraping World, the seed of ways completely ignored all of these snares. The various formations and traps were unable to stop it at all. Faced with more and more Immortal Exalts blocking it, it was like a frightened rabbit. Despite it behaving frantically, it would always slip away time and time again with ease.
