Catastrophic necromancer

**Chapter 627: Damn, Using My Skills Against Me**

Facing enemies charging from all directions, Lin Moyu decisively activated the [Gathering Power] skill associated with the “person” rune.

**[Gathering Power: Gather the power of designated summoned creatures, inherit all their skills, and fuse some of their attributes. Duration: 5 minutes, Cooldown: 60 minutes.]**

Lin Moyu’s mind flashed with the description of the [Gathering Power] skill.

“Five minutes, not enough!”

The number of enemies was too many, and five minutes was not enough to kill them all. He instinctively checked his attributes and couldn’t help but frown.

**[Lin Moyu]**

**[Level: 74]**

**[Strength: ~1,000,000]**

**[Agility: 1,000,000]**

**[Spirit: 1,000,000]**

**[Constitution: 1,000,000]**

**[Skills: Furious Strike, Elemental Chaos, Soul Shot, Legion Enhancement, Legion Recovery, Elimination, Charge, Group Defense, Immunity]**

Each of his four attributes was only 1 million, which was pitifully low.

Without using the [Gathering Power] skill, his base strength attribute was 430,000, plus the 500,000 bonus from the Monarch’s Scepter.

His strength and agility attributes alone reached 930,000.

His constitution attribute even reached 1,030,000.

The highest was his spirit attribute, which, including the Monarch’s Scepter, exceeded 2 million.

Now, using the [Gathering Power] skill, his four attributes averaged out to only 1 million each.

It was actually weaker than not using the [Gathering Power] skill.

Lin Moyu felt that using this skill was a waste.

However, he was fortunate to inherit the skills from the skeletons, headless knights, and lich generals.

Having skills made a significant difference compared to not having any.

Lin Moyu first used the Legion Enhancement skill from the lich generals.

**[Legion Enhancement (0%): All attributes increased by 70%, reaching 1.7 million.]**

Especially the attack speed increased by 70%, making the effect even more noticeable.

Lin Moyu felt his whole body filled with power, becoming lighter.

At this moment, the enemies were already close, “Let’s begin!”

With excitement, Lin Moyu let out a low shout, activated the skill, and charged towards the enemies.

**Skill: Charge!**

Under the Charge skill, his speed was as fast as lightning, reaching 3,000 meters per second, a speed Lin Moyu had never experienced before. His storage space was also sealed, so he couldn’t take out any weapons.

Without weapons in hand, he used his fists.

But it didn’t matter; Lin Moyu saw that the enemies had weapons, including swords, spears, shields, and bows, which he could choose from.

The enemies appeared as black shadows, like thick smoke, with no discernible shape.

They seemed somewhat humanoid but kept changing form.

Especially when Lin Moyu approached with a gust of wind, the black shadows swayed left and right.

Each black shadow was over five meters tall, much larger than Lin Moyu.

Lin Moyu, with the Charge skill, crashed heavily into a black shadow and then punched it.

With a loud bang, the black shadow exploded on the spot.

The Charge skill caused an attack five times his strength attribute, making the attack power quite significant.

The black shadow’s form, and the two-handed greatsword it held, hadn’t even hit the ground before Lin Moyu caught it.

Lin Moyu’s strength was immense, and he held the several-thousand-pound greatsword effortlessly with one hand.

As Lin Moyu killed one black shadow, other black shadows rushed at him, wielding various weapons.

The greatsword swept across, clashing with the weapons, and Lin Moyu’s whole body shook. The opponent’s strength was almost equal to his.

Without using skills, their strengths were comparable, with Lin Moyu having a slight edge.

Arrows whizzed towards him, and archers began attacking Lin Moyu.

At this moment, Lin Moyu felt a surge of power entering his body, but he didn’t have time to sense what it was.

He dodged the arrows, but more arrows kept coming, forcing Lin Moyu to keep evading.

The arrows were extremely accurate, seemingly locked onto Lin Moyu.

While dodging, Lin Moyu fought the black shadows.

He found that the black shadows’ attack power was almost equal to his, and their combat skills were also top-notch, not inferior to his.

If he didn’t use skills, he really couldn’t handle them.

More and more black shadows surrounded him, leaving him less room to maneuver.

Lin Moyu gritted his teeth and activated a skill.

**Skill: Elemental Chaos!**

Using the skill from the skeleton mages, Lin Moyu didn’t lock onto any target but instead launched an indiscriminate attack within a hundred-meter radius around him.

Elements exploded, creating a dazzling display of colors.

Lin Moyu wasn’t sure if the skill could kill the enemies, so he followed up with additional strikes.

With several consecutive sword strikes, more black shadows were killed, and Lin Moyu gained another two-handed greatsword.

Holding a greatsword in each hand, Lin Moyu swung them rapidly.

The Elemental Chaos skill was effective, severely injuring the enemies, and Lin Moyu took the opportunity to kill several more.

Lin Moyu noticed that each time he killed an enemy, a strange energy entered his body. This energy was very weak, and if his soul wasn’t sensitive enough, he wouldn’t have noticed it.

However, Lin Moyu didn’t have time to trace the source of this energy, as more black shadows kept coming. He fought fiercely among the black shadows, battling with all his might.

He hadn’t engaged in such close combat for a long time, and this time he fought with great satisfaction.

Lin Moyu indeed enjoyed close combat, having often joined battles in person, transforming into a knight leading his undead army to fight bosses head-on.

Lin Moyu felt he had the potential to be a warrior.

As time passed, Lin Moyu fought more smoothly, gradually understanding the black shadows’ combat style.

He found that although their combat skills were strong, almost perfect, they were rigid and inflexible.

Moreover, their vitality was weak, often requiring only one strike to kill them.

With this realization, Lin Moyu began trading minor injuries for kills.

Without using skills, he exchanged minor, insignificant injuries for the enemies’ lives.

At this point, the Legion Recovery skill played a significant role, healing minor injuries with one use.

Even slightly more severe injuries could be healed with two or three uses.

In this situation, Lin Moyu used skills whenever he had them, and when he didn’t, he traded injuries for kills.

The black shadows were quickly cleared out.

The first wave of black shadows, numbering over a thousand, were all killed by Lin Moyu alone.

When no more black shadows were in sight, Lin Moyu finally stopped.

By this time, the five minutes had long passed, but the [Gathering Power] skill was still active.

Lin Moyu was surprised, as he was sure that when he used the skill, it felt the same as before.

The five-minute skill duration couldn’t be wrong.

However, as the battle continued, the skill duration seemed to keep increasing.

“It must be because killing the black shadows extends the skill duration.”

“So, as long as I kill fast enough, the [Gathering Power] skill can last indefinitely.”

“Moreover, towards the end of the battle, I felt my strength increase, and the greatswords became lighter.”

Lin Moyu checked his attributes.

His attributes had indeed increased, with each attribute reaching 2.04 million.

“Attributes of 2.04 million mean the base attributes reached 1.2 million.”

“There were about 2,000 black shadows just now, and each kill increased my attributes.”

Lin Moyu understood that killing black shadows not only extended the [Gathering Power] skill duration but also increased his base attributes.

Based on his experience, he guessed that the trial wouldn’t end with just one wave.

There would definitely be a second and third wave.

If the [Primordial Secret Realm] trial were this simple, the success rate wouldn’t be so low.

Sure enough, before Lin Moyu could catch his breath, new enemies appeared in the distance.

This time, it was a group of knights, flame knights.

They were covered in intense flames, wearing heavy armor, and even their mounts were fully armored.

With just one look, Lin Moyu judged that they were immune to fire and had extremely high defense, much harder to deal with than the black shadows.

Flames streaked like flowing light, and the flame knights charged.

Lin Moyu tensed up and couldn’t help but exclaim, “Damn…”

The skill they used was the same Charge skill he had just used.

They were using his own skill against him.

The Charge skill was incredibly fast, covering thousands of meters in an instant.

Without thinking, Lin Moyu swung his greatswords and activated the skill: Elemental Chaos!

Centered on himself, a hundred-meter radius exploded!
