Catastrophic necromancer

**Chapter 616: The Kingdom of Thunder Trees**

Along the way, Lin Moyu encountered several groups of dragons. They followed the scent to find him, but when they saw Lin Moyu, they were all terrified.

Lin Moyu did not give them a chance to escape; they all became headless knights under his sword.

A thought sprouted in Lin Moyu’s mind: perhaps he could sweep through the Wind Thunder Continent, slaughtering all the dragons and abyssal demons, driving them out.

But this thought was quickly extinguished.

Although this would greatly enhance the safety of the human race in the lower space, it would not be a good thing for the human race.

Survival of the fittest.

The human race needs to grow stronger through battle, so they do not lose their fighting spirit.

The thunder grew louder, and the sky was filled with lightning and thunder, with clear skies and mist.

Thunder snakes roamed the sky, occasionally falling.

The lightning struck the thunder trees, which absorbed it.

The thunder trees grow stronger by absorbing lightning.

Lin Moyu had already arrived in the area where the thunder trees were located. As far as the eye could see, there was an endless mountain range of thunder trees.

The Thunder Mountain Range, the area with the most thunder trees on the Wind Thunder Continent, with the largest scale.

Over a million thunder trees live here.

No one knows how many bosses there are or how strong they are.

Moreover, there are many other monsters living among the thunder trees.

They coexist with the thunder trees without interfering with each other.

This place is rarely visited by people; no one wants to come here.

The thunder trees indeed do not attack proactively, but these monsters do.

If entangled by monsters, it would be very troublesome.

If one accidentally uses a range attack and provokes the thunder trees, it could be fatal.

If the thunder trees attack in unison, not many professionals can withstand it.

However, compared to the wind flowers, it is still safer. As long as one is lucky enough and does not go too deep, they can escape. If they have already gone deep into the Thunder Mountain Range, they can only rely on their luck.

Lin Moyu flew about a hundred miles into the Thunder Mountain Range and then stopped, hovering in the sky, looking down at the thunder trees below.

The thunder trees varied in height; the shorter ones had thinner trunks, while the taller ones had thicker trunks.

The different heights and thicknesses also represented different levels of the thunder trees.

Normally, the taller and thicker the tree, the higher its level.

This is recorded in the data and is information known to everyone.

Lin Moyu carefully observed and found something different.

“Thunder trees are grouped in units of ten thousand. Every ten thousand thunder trees form a small area. This area division is not obvious, but if you look closely, you can still see it.”

Lin Moyu muttered to himself. He saw that the thunder tree groups were also divided into separate areas, with each area having a gap of several dozen meters.

In these gaps, some monsters could be seen living.

If the entire Thunder Mountain Range is viewed as a kingdom, then these areas are like cities within the kingdom.

Each city is distinct.

In each area, there are exactly ten thousand thunder trees, and among these ten thousand thunder trees, there is one particularly large one, which is the leader and also a world-class boss.

From the aura it emitted, Lin Moyu roughly judged that it should be around level 80.

His gaze continued to move deeper, and Lin Moyu flew towards the depths of the Thunder Mountain Range.

There were no signs of human activity here; it had become a world of thunder and thunder trees.

Even the wind flowers could not survive here.

Lin Moyu observed along the way and saw many different pieces of information.

Thunder trees live in groups of ten thousand.

When the number exceeds one hundred thousand, an even larger thunder tree will appear, becoming the leader of these one hundred thousand thunder trees.

The area formed by these one hundred thousand thunder trees is like a province within the kingdom.

“If this is the case, there should be a true king among the thunder trees, ruling over all the thunder trees.”

“And this king should be in the center of the Thunder Mountain Range.”

Lin Moyu looked towards the center of the Thunder Mountain Range, and his soul power spread out.

Coincidentally, a bolt of lightning lit up the distant sky.

The entire Thunder Mountain Range lit up, and Lin Moyu saw countless electric snakes spreading like a spider web from the distance.

The space twisted as if it was about to be torn apart.

Lin Moyu watched in awe, “What an amazing thunder light, it is very close to god-level.”

The thunder light spread hundreds of miles in the sky, and then a bolt of lightning connected the heavens and the earth, crashing down.

In the lightning, Lin Moyu saw an enormous thunder tree.

The thunder tree stood at the peak of the mountain range, connecting the heavens and the earth, unafraid of the lightning strikes.

“This is the king of the thunder trees!” Lin Moyu immediately confirmed its existence. Although he did not use a detection spell, he roughly guessed its level.

At least level 88, possibly level 89, but not god-level.

It did not have the aura of a god-level being.

Moreover, the closer to this king thunder tree, the stronger the thunder trees became.

By the thunder light, Lin Moyu also saw a group of boss-level thunder trees.

Not just a few, but a whole group.

These boss-level thunder trees were like guards, protecting the king thunder tree.

The thunder light continuously fell on it and then spread underground.

Lin Moyu squinted his eyes. After the thunder light entered the ground, it disappeared.

“Could there be something strange underground?”

Lin Moyu felt something was wrong but could not pinpoint what it was.

Since seeing the structure of the thunder tree group, Lin Moyu had a strange feeling that the thunder trees were more like animals than plants.

Generally, plants do not form such patterns; it is too orderly.

From the information obtained so far, thunder trees have a certain level of intelligence and some simple rules of governance.

Dividing areas like a kingdom into provinces and cities is not something plants can do.

While thinking, a sharp cry came from his ear.

A thunder eagle, sparking with lightning, flew out from the thunder tree group, heading straight for him.

A flash of fire appeared in Lin Moyu’s hand.

Skill: Soul Flame.

The thunder eagle fell from the sky with a scream.

This thunder eagle was not very high level, only about level 75, and it was not a boss, almost killed by the Soul Flame.

It fell to the ground, and then continuous screams sounded, echoing in the air.

The thunder tree group seemed to be in an uproar, and a large number of thunder eagles took to the sky, heading towards Lin Moyu.

Indeed, hitting one provoked a group.

Lin Moyu originally came to the Thunder Mountain Range to fight the thunder trees, so naturally, he would also fight the monsters in the mountain range.

The undead army appeared in the sky. Before the headless knights could activate their charge skill, the skeleton mages and skeleton archers had already taken action.

Elemental explosions and soul attacks.

Elemental and soul attacks were launched simultaneously.

The thunder eagles fell like raindrops.

They fell among the thunder trees, still carrying the aura of elemental chaos, and the flames from the explosions had not completely extinguished.

These flames spread to the thunder tree group.

The branches and leaves of the thunder trees shook, emitting thunder light.

Crack!

The thunder light exploded in the air with a loud noise.

It was like a signal, and the entire thunder tree group moved in unison, causing the entire Thunder Mountain Range to come alive.

Lin Moyu stood in the sky and saw an astonishing scene.

He finally understood why this mountain range was called the Thunder Mountain Range.

The mountain range, stretching over a thousand kilometers deep and several hundred kilometers wide, instantly turned into a sea of thunder.

All the thunder trees moved in unison, shooting out thunder light.

Lin Moyu and the undead army were instantly engulfed by the thunder light.

The characteristic of being immune to electric elements allowed Lin Moyu to ignore the thunder attacks.

But the undead army was not so fortunate; they were continuously injured by the thunder light.

The undead army benefited from Lin Moyu’s passive skill [Elemental Resistance], reducing all elemental damage by eight times.

Even though each thunder light did not cause much damage, the sheer number was overwhelming, and the principle of “many ants can kill an elephant” applied to the undead army as well.

With over a million thunder trees in the Thunder Mountain Range, at least one-third of them were attacking him.

The density of the thunder light was astonishing, turning into a sea of thunder.

Lin Moyu could see nothing but thunder light.

After the wind flowers, Lin Moyu once again experienced the overwhelming feeling of being outnumbered.

The undead army charged through the sea of thunder, heading downwards.

The Skeleton Throne appeared.

This time, Lin Moyu changed his strategy, summoning three skeleton kings with groups of thirty thousand skeletons each.

The skeleton king’s skills had cooldown times, and summoning three allowed for three rounds of skill activation, covering a larger area.

To deal with ordinary thunder trees, a skeleton king formed by thirty thousand skeletons was sufficient.

The three skeleton kings spread out, moving through the sea of thunder. With their strong attributes, they could withstand the thunder for a while.

The skills God-Slaying Slash and Elemental Chaos could both perform area attacks.

They locked onto the maximum range, and each skeleton king’s skill could cover a radius of three thousand meters.

When the skills were activated, they attacked all enemies within three thousand meters indiscriminately!

The bone swords slashed out, cutting through the thunder light.

Sword energy pierced the ground, sweeping through the thunder tree group.

Countless thunder trees within the attack range were cut in half.

Plant-type monsters have strong vitality, and this alone was not enough to kill them.

Elemental chaos followed, and with a loud explosion, many thunder trees were uprooted and destroyed.

Lin Moyu was immediately surrounded by white light.

With one strike, he gained a massive amount of experience, reaching level 73.
