Chapter 811: Chapter 794: Learning to Breathe

Ciri exuberantly ran toward Lann, then hesitated when she was still two or three steps away from him.

Her eyes started to dart around.

Her face blushed.

The light and colors from the sky perfectly enveloped Lann.

At Ciri’s height, the angle was just right.

She could see how Lann’s body and cheeks were so striking and even dazzling under those lights and colors.

The mountain breeze stirred the silk lace on Lann’s shirt and his hair, which shone like melted silver.

Ciri was far away on the long wooden board earlier, so she didn’t see clearly.

But as she got closer, her heart started to race.

She was already thirteen, and in this era, with her family background, she should have been engaged to a prince two years ago.

In fact, she did have an engagement two years ago, but she ran away by herself.

”Hey, snap out of it!”

A ’snap’ could be heard as a finger flicked on Ciri’s forehead.

Lann didn’t have as many thoughts as Ciri; in his eyes, she was just lively and adorable.

After all, in terms of height, Ciri wasn’t even taller than his stomach.

”Ouch! Do you want to knock me out?”

Ciri cried out, holding her forehead.

Lann remained very calm: ”I’m quite confident in my strength, my dear lady.”

”And now, I want to train you to be a warrior who’s confident in your own strength. Do you object?”

Ciri immediately stopped covering her forehead and shouted, ”Of course not!”

The recent war had a significant impact on her, and her insecurity even snapped her back to reality from Lann’s glimmering face under the sun.

”Then extend your hand first.”

Lann pressed the hilt of Aron Dite at his waist, squatting down so the sheath wouldn’t stick into the ground.

His palm started to grip the arm of the little girl, sensing muscular development, bone structure, and resilience through pressure.

Mentos’s human computation model was rapidly forming.

After Lann patted and tapped Ciri’s arm, shoulders, and spine for a while, the human computation model was roughly formed.

”Oh, Rong Buqiu, you don’t need to.”

Lann pushed away the eager little kitten paw reaching out to him.

Rong Buqiu let out a disappointed ’meow’.

But then Lann’s words perked it up again.

”I’ve seen enough of your physical data.”

”Meow? I don’t remember at all, how did you do it!”

”Just by looking.” Lann pointed his two fingers vaguely at his eyes, ”As long as the contact time is long enough, just looking is enough.”

Rong Buqiu was first surprised, then nodded vigorously with understanding.

”So, becoming a powerful warrior means reaching this level? I get it, meow!”

Now it was Lann’s turn to be dumbfounded... What did you understand, you little rascal!

In his mind, Mentos also ’tsked’, though it said nothing, its biological brain gave an impression of ’maybe you shouldn’t mislead the others’.

The young Demon Hunter shook his head, tossing away the biological brain’s mocking.

”I roughly understand how both of you should be trained.”

Lann stood up again as he spoke.

Actually, Ciri’s plan was the easiest, even though Mentos hadn’t gathered that much data from her yet.

But Lann had already seen her future competence at the tavern at Crossroads Inn.

Back then, he thought, that woman’s breathing and movements seemed very familiar.

Later, during the journey, Mentos also kept analyzing and judging the image of that woman based on Lann’s memories.

So for Lann, it was akin to already knowing Ciri’s future training results. Following that direction would suffice.

At least it wouldn’t cause issues with her physical development.

And judging by things, even if she went through exhausting, drawn-out chases that left her starving and worn out, Ciri then would have the ability to escape from the Wild Hunt.

Even in Lann’s eyes, that was quite an impressive level.

”For both of you now, you need to first learn ’breathing’.”

Lann casually said with his left hand on the hilt at his waist.

”Breathing?”

”Meow?”

The little girl and the Three-Floral Kitten both looked at Lann in confusion.

”Is it Fighting Spirit, meow?”

Rong Buqiu first asked.

”I’ve heard powerful Hunting Cats also learn Fighting Spirit, meow!”

Compared to Ciri, Rong Buqiu was actually the one more knowledgeable.

It had greeted many cat Adventurer’s Groups on the New Continent, and had met many Hunters accompanied by follower cats, so it somewhat knew what follower cats were supposed to train in.

Under the guidance of those strong Hunters, follower cats, although less in weight and strength, could also learn Combat Techniques, equipped with Hunting Cat gear to possess a formidable fighting force.

Whereas the less quick-tongued Ciri was completely puzzled at this point.

’Breathing’ was somewhat understandable, what’s ’Fighting Spirit’?

And Lann was explaining to Rong Buqiu.

”The Breathing Method is a technique in the [Force] system, similar to [Fighting Spirit], but perhaps... more suitable for foundational work, more refined in operation?”

Lann summarized with some uncertainty, but he felt the general direction was right.

”I’ve learned a mix of things, so you’d be able to learn techniques more diverse than the other Hunting Cats.”

”How does that feel, like you’ve profited, right?”

Rong Buqiu got very excited, clenched its tiny paw, its triangular ears stood up, and it ’meowed’.

Of course, Ciri still didn’t quite understand.

”About the ’breathing’, Lambert seemed to have taught me.”

Ciri said while drawing her small wooden sword at her waist for demonstration.

Inhale before tightening muscles, hold breath when maintaining tension, exhale when relaxing... a universally applicable exercise breathing strategy.

Lann stopped Ciri’s motion.

”What I want to teach you is a deeper, more complex way of breathing.”

”No need for swords, and not even movement in the early stages, just follow my pace.”

Lann instructed Ciri to put down her small wooden sword, Rong Buqiu to set down her small cat’s pickaxe, and began explaining the Breathing Method to the two.

”[Torso Breathing] is a breathing method that’s useful even outside combat, just in daily life...”

With Lann’s explanation, both Elu Cat and the little girl began earnestly learning.

[Iwami Style], this was the conclusion Lann and Mentos reached through repeated analysis of the imagery when they interacted with that woman at the Crossroads Inn.

An adult Ciri was utilizing the [Iwami Style] Breathing Method and the [Light Body Technique Breathing Method].

It’s just unknown whether it had been modified in the future, or if Ciri herself had the talent to adapt it to her own style, which made Lann find it familiar yet somewhat unrecognizable.

However, it was certain that the foundation of this technique was definitely [Iwami Style].
