Be Gentle, My Master

Mu Lingchuan turned around to see Zimo.

She was lying on top of him, her forehead dripping with sweat.

Without any chance to consider her, Mu Lingchuan rolled over to place her on the ground and forcefully threw the briefcase in his hand toward the fence.

The distance wasn’t too far yet not close either.

As the briefcase flew out, going straight for the assassin through the fence, Mu Lingchuan swiftly lifted Zimo.

“You’re injured!” Seeing the blood flowing from her arm, Mu Lingchuan exclaimed anxiously.

Zimo nodded without uttering a word.

She held her left forearm tightly with her right hand, red blood continuously flowed out from between her fingers.

It was clear she was trying to endure the intense pain, but at this moment, Mu Lingchuan couldn’t pay too much attention to her.

The briefcase he had thrown could only keep the assassin at bay, blocking his second attack temporarily.

Yet, it wouldn’t hold him off for long!

Upon hearing the gunshot, the security guards and Tang Li were immediately on guard, but it was still too late.

Missing his target, the assassin didn’t leave.

His mission today was to get rid of Mu Xiaojiu, but he didn’t expect Mu Xiaojiu to leave first.

Now, unless he takes down Mu Lingchuan, he would inevitably face punishment when he returns.

So, amidst the chaos, he quickly set his sights on Mu Lingchuan and Zimo, who were lying on the ground.

As the crowd dispersed, Mu Lingchuan immediately located the assassin.

Seeing the assassin aiming his gun at them again, Mu Lingchuan thought no more, took hold of Zimo in his right arm, and swiftly rolled a few times on the ground to take cover behind a pillar at the entrance.

Just after he left the spot where they were lying, two more holes appeared on the ground.

Mu Lingchuan let out a cold laugh, he put Zimo down and let her lean against the pillar.

“Hang in there,” he muttered before springing out like an arrow.

“Don’t…” Before Zimo could finish her sentence, Mu Lingchuan had already run a few meters away.

Unexpectedly, the dignified CEO of Feixue Media was quite agile.

It seemed that he was stronger than she was, she didn’t need to worry about him.

Without much effort, Mu Lingchuan and the security guards managed to apprehend the assassin.

However, the moment he was caught, the assassin bit down on a poison tooth hidden in his mouth and died within seconds.

Who would have thought that these assassins were still using such an ancient method!

Prefering death rather than being captured alive speaks volumes about the hefty penalty of survival after getting apprehended.

The people behind this were all heartless devils!

Looking around, other than his driver and security personnel, all the extras had dispersed.

Knowing there was no longer any danger, Tang Li called the head of the security personnel to investigate how the perpetrator had managed to infiltrate the scene.

Mu Lingchuan paid no mind to these matters, after dealing with the assassin, he quickly walked back to Zimo and squatted down.

Without saying anything, he directly picked her up and headed for his car.

“Mr. Mu…” Zimo was somewhat surprised and struggled a little.

“Don’t move, I’m taking you to the hospital.” Her face was as pale as paper, but she was still resisting his approach.

“No need, it’s a minor injury. I can go by myself,” she insisted.

She had always thought of Mr.

Mu as somewhat similar to her – cold and uninterested in socializing.

Now he’s carrying her, a gesture she found difficult to adjust to.
