Chapter 27: Chapter- 27: X Factor

”I am Kajol Karnis, sixth princess of the Keshan Kingdom. It is my pleasure to meet you sir Kai Shen”

A beauty with clear blue eyes and long red hair appeared in front of me and introduced herself as a princess.

Her looks are on par with the heroine Hina but the aura she gives seems completely different. It was not an innocent beauty like the heroine but an arrogant and mature charm like a refined lady.

She was not alone, there were two girls following behind her.

”The pleasure is all mine. I could never have thought that I can one day have a chance to meet a princess of Keshan”

I replied to her with a light bow so to express some respect.

She is clearly a guest of the Yona Kingdom so I can’t afford to be rude to her.

”Then you really seem to underestimate yourself sir Kai, you are someone worthy to stand alongside a royalty”

What with this high level compliment!?

She is comparing me to the royal family!?

I can already notice all the onlookers whispering among themselves while looking at us.

”You flatter me, I am definitely no great personality but a mere student.”

She may be a beauty but she is also an ’X’ factor completely out of the script of the game.

I can already guess the reason she is in the Yona Kingdom. She should be a marriage candidate for prince Lucian given that he’s still officially single.

But why did she approach me?

”Very modest, aren’t you? But I was really impressed after watching your battle with sir Ray” She replied her tone caring a charm of a princess.

But I don’t remember seeing her in the test, when did she watch the battle?

”I was given a tour around the academy because I am not familiar with the things around here. I saw your battle from the academy’s building”

And she got curious after seeing my self created skill?

Of course the reason was because she must have sensed a strong wind attribute in it.

I have heard that the royal family of Keshan is claimed to have the strongest wind magic users in the world.

Although the wind attribute is among the basic elemental attributes, the real strength is still determined by the magic users and their training environment.

The Karnis family has a really high affinity with the wind attribute and also most of the members have twin attributes.

Also their kingdom has several mountainous regions with high winds which make it a perfect place for them.

As I was thinking up to that, I suddenly felt a weird chill and familiar presence approaching me.

I looked to the side and saw Elena with a peculiarly serious expression.

This is not the first time I saw that expression of her and can guess that she is feeling upset about something.

”May I know who this guest is?”

Elena asked me a little with a tone little different than usual.

”She is princess Kajol from Keshan Kingdom, she is also a new student here just like us”

I subconsciously gave her a detailed reply. It can be my over thinking but I feel like she is a little angry about something.

”It is a pleasure to meet your highness the princess, I am Elena Mizo, Lord Kai’s Fiancee”

Elena didn’t even give me a chance to introduce her and she did it herself. Maybe it was my imagination but I think that she emphasized the word ’fiancee’.

”Fiancee?.....”

Princess Kajol said with a surprised expression.

She probably didn’t know about it. After all we have only got engaged less than a month ago.

”It’s a pleasure to meet you Lady Elena. You said Mizo, so are you from the Mizo family of Murlin?”

The princess asked with some curiosity.

”Yes”

Yona Kingdom and Keshan Kingdom are separated by a Mehana Mountain Range which borders the territory of Murlin.

”Princess, shouldn’t we go to greet his highness”

One of the girls behind princess Kajol whispered to her.

”Okay. Sir Kai, I may take my leave. Let’s meet again in the class”

Why are you only saying it to me and not to Elena as well?

This smells like some trouble.

”I will be looking forward to it”

I replied as politely as possible. I don’t have that much experience in interacting with royalty.

With that I regained some ease after the princess left but the relief didn’t last long....

”So you are also looking forward to meeting her again huh?”

Elena asked me in a really calm voice but I am feeling some chill from her question.

”Oh I am feeling hungry. Since the ceremony has ended, let’s go to the cafeteria”

I decided to quickly change the subject.

”Me too!”

Ian who has been watching all this from a side like he don’t even know me, finally let his presence shown.

”Alright, please wait, let me bring Lily as well”

Elena said as we went back into the group of girls that was formed around Luna to fetch Lily.

That Luna really has a terrifying level of communication skills.

...

As you would expect from Noble’s academy, even the cafeteria is really big and luxurious.

Another reason may be because the academy also has a dormitory, so good food is definitely essential.

Four of us sat around one of the tables near a window. It feels like a restaurant.

”You all will be living in the dormitory?”

As the topic of the dormitory came up, Lily asked in surprise.

Of course it’s not common for the kids of nobles of a high rank like Marquis to be staying in the dormitory instead of a villa or a private house.

”My father thinks that I am immature so he told me to stay at the dormitory”

Ian added his reason.

Both of their families live in this city but unlike Lily and most of the students who live in the capital, he has to stay in the dorm.

”Does the female dormitory also have sharing rooms?”

I asked Elena out of curiosity.

”Yes I heard it, but I have not seen my roommate yet. I just hope that my roommate will be a good person”

In the game Elena was the fiancee of the second prince and because of that identity she had to follow several etiquette and rules.

As a ’to be’ member of the Royal Family in the game, she commuted from her family’s Villa.

But the situation now is different, our families want us to get some experience from this.

Honestly we have all been very much sheltered under our families and servants until now.

”Don’t worry, most of the students living in the dormitories are those who came from far, so they are probably as nervous as us”

I told Elena to ease her worry. There is even a chance that she might not have any roommate at all.

”Let’s look around the academy campus afterwards”

Lily brought a suggestion.

Not a bad idea. We can also see our class beforehand so we will not have to waste time in finding it tomorrow.
