Apocalypse Gachapon

Chapter 2002: Following Formation

”The Su Clan is no longer the Su Clan you imagine.”

Jie Suʼs words were accompanied by two forces emerging above his head and beneath his feet. Viewed from the outside, countless energy patterns were appearing and extending at a breakneck speed.

The scene was actually very bizarre.

From the outside, Jie Su seemed to have trapped himself within an independent space. Above his head were blue energy patterns, and beneath his feet were black energy patterns. The rampant energy surrounding him, though invisible, could be felt even by an ordinary person, sensing something raging there.

And Jie Su himself had also undergone a change. Lines appeared on his hands, which were still raised towards the sky and the earth. The hand towards the sky had black lines, the hand towards the earth had blue lines, exactly opposite to the colors of the patterns enveloping him above and below.

The female assassin of the Armored Thorn Race felt something was wrong the moment Jie Su activated his ability, and she also responded.

The bone spines on her feet opened and began to rotate constantly. Coupled with the flapping of the two pairs of short wings behind her, she hovered and flew in the sky.

The steel fork in her hand was also rotating, with flowing light appearing on it. As it rotated, it turned into two balls of light. When the balls of light had a diameter of two meters and completely covered the assassinʼs body, they shot out like cannonballs, one upwards and one downwards. Their target was not Jie Su, but the two nearly formed energy pattern designs above his head and beneath his feet.

The Armored Thorn Race member didnʼt know what that was, but she had never heard of the Su Clan having such a skill. Both the fear of the unknown and the dislike for the unexpected led her to decide to break these two things first.

Simultaneously, her body behind the light balls disappeared again. When she reappeared, she was behind Jie Su.
Why was the Armored Thorn Race once the most powerful assassins among the cosmic races? This reputation didnʼt come for nothing. Apart from their invisibility ability, they had pushed their advantages to the extreme.

Using their own energy, they created two energy balls with strong attack power. Then, similarly using the energy released earlier, they teleported themselves a short distance, still in an invisible state. Attacking strongly from the front while sneaking from the back, they nearly perfectly utilized their own advantages.

Under normal circumstances, this would basically announce the end of the battle. The Armored Thorn Race memberʼs Furelai was originally stronger than Jie Suʼs, and assassins were known for their powerful attacks. Facing a Su Clan member who primarily used formations, they could completely achieve victory with an overwhelming attitude.

Unfortunately, she encountered a Su Clan genius who had always been low-key before but began to shine gradually since the Novice battlefield.

The light balls hit their targets, accurately, without the slightest deviation. Unfortunately, the scene the Armored Thorn Race member expected to see did not appear. The two light balls directly exploded, becoming part of the rampant energy surrounding them.

The change in front affected the Armored Thorn Race memberʼs subsequent attack from behind. Her original intention was to break the two unknown things above Jie Suʼs head and beneath his feet, dispersing this energy, and then deliver a fatal blow from behind.

However, with the frontal attack ineffective, her thrust encountered what seemed like a wall of energy.

The steel fork could no longer advance, only ten centimeters away from the back of Jie Suʼs head.

Jie Su slowly turned around, his movement somewhat awkward because his hands were still maintaining the up and down posture.

The Armored Thorn Race assassin knew something was wrong. She exerted force on the steel fork again, using the rebounding force to fly backward. At the same time, small balls began to shoot out from her body, exploding about two meters away from her, releasing some multi-colored smoke that gradually spread within the space.

The figure of the Armored Thorn Race member was also hidden by this smoke, disappearing again.

However, the corner of Jie Suʼs mouth, who had turned his head, held a cold smile.

He lightly flicked the fingers of his upward-facing hand. The fully formed upper energy pattern array emitted a light slash of the same color, imprinting into the smoke. Almost simultaneously, a muffled grunt was heard, and some blood droplets fell to the ground.

”This is impossible, what is this?!”

From within the multi-colored mist came the disbelieving scream of the Armored Thorn Race member. She couldnʼt believe how this Su Clan member accurately found her.

”Nothing is impossible. Your race was exterminated; wouldnʼt it be better to truly disappear? Why reappear?”

Jie Suʼs expression was blank, his voice cold enough to make one tremble. He moved his downward-facing hand, and another light slash was emitted. The Armored Thorn Race member cried out again.

”Why can you find me?” After being accurately hit twice in a row, the Armored Thorn Race member no longer questioned it. She just didnʼt understand what this Su Clan member was using.

”Nothing special, just one ability of this formation. You can call this formation the Following Formation!”

Jie Su answered very casually. During this time, he emitted two more energy slashes, also hitting the target, which made the Armored Thorn Race member charge out directly from the smoke.

Staying inside was useless anyway.

”Following Formation?”

At this moment, in the highest room of the Library Palace, the old dean, whose eyes constantly flashed with light, murmured a phrase.

”It seems these years, the Su Clan hasnʼt been as stagnant as they appear on the surface; theyʼve actually created something.”

”Body-following Formation? If it can really be used on a large scale, then the Su Clan might still be worth watching.”

The Su Clanʼs rising star, whom the old dean considered ʼmight still be worth watching,ʼ saw the assassin reveal her form and actually let his hands return to a state of natural hanging.

This made the Armored Thorn Race member overjoyed. She exerted force with her two pairs of short wings, flapped hard, and her body shot down like an arrow. The steel forks in her hands and the bone spines on her feet attacked Jie Su frantically.

Jie Su still didnʼt move, letting his opponent attack madly. Unfortunately, no matter what, the Armored Thorn Race member could not break through the invisible, rampant energy surrounding him; all attacks were in vain.

However, the Armored Thorn Race member did not give up. She felt that no matter what kind of defense it was, once the energy it absorbed became saturated, it would automatically disperse.

For this, she also went all out. The steel forks lit up again, and with the help of her short wings, her body constantly tumbled and rotated, building strength. In the end, only afterimages remained, with at least several attacks landing on the same spot per unit time!

The tips of the steel forks drew closer and closer to Jie Suʼs body, eventually coming to rest only a paperʼs thickness away.

But Jie Su remained unhurried.

At this time, the old dean, who was watching everything using some unknown ability, slightly shook his head and said to Luo Chi, who had returned: ”This Armored Thorn Race member is obsessed with her own attack, hoping to break the defense with offense. But she is too certain; her judgment of the situation is too hasty.”

”But itʼs not her fault. The Su Clan suddenly brought out such a thing; it is indeed a bit surprising.”

”Itʼs over.”

After saying this last sentence, the old dean sat back in his seat and continued reading.
