Algorithm system

Senior brother didn’t treat you as an outsiderThe more Lin Yuan thought about it, the more he felt there was no answer.

Making a fake admission letter by hand seemed foolish, yet it earned the professional recognition of his mentor and had a certain positive effect.

He was now connected to two big shots in his university, and there was even a faint possibility of using this to get in touch with national secret departments. In the face of such a great opportunity, were there no hidden dangers?

At the very least, he couldn’t casually reveal his ’mind my own business’ mindset anymore; he had to act more noble.

Can you simply explain the line between good and bad, misfortune and fortune?

Finally, Lin Yuan simplified the complex.

Just like when facing an incredibly complex algorithm problem, there can often be a very simple analytical perspective.

Lin Yuan crammed all these unquantifiable problems into a common, everyday phrase—’Never forget why you started, and your mission can be accomplished.’

He now had a deeper understanding of this phrase.

This phrase was like the error calculation function in the AI training process.

During AI training, it’s necessary to calculate the error to know the effect of the current parameters, and then adjust the parameters to correct the error.

So, doesn’t one also need a standard to judge their own behavior in life?

Therefore, this phrase is the error calculation function for personal behavior.

Lin Yuan suddenly realized: Damn, the AI training process isn’t that hard to explain after all!

’When I create the world’s most awesome AI someday, I’ll name it: Never Forget Why You Started.’

As he thought of this, Lin Yuan, sitting cross-legged, unconsciously curved his lips upward.

”Senior Brother, what are you doing?”

”Huh?” Lin Yuan opened his eyes and saw Zhang Yan squatting by the iron fence, looking at him with a puzzled expression.

”When did you get here?”

”I’ve been here for a while. I saw you were so engrossed in your meditation that I didn’t disturb you. Later, I saw you smiling for no reason, and I was afraid you were going astray in your cultivation, so I quickly called you.”

”What do you mean? Going astray in cultivation?”

”Yeah.” Zhang Yan pointed to the book, the book of changes, on Lin Yuan’s lap. ”Although I don’t understand, you look like you’re cultivating right now, don’t you?”

Alright, Lin Yuan realized she was joking with him.

”Senior Brother, can you tell me what exactly you’re doing?” Zhang Yan rested her chin in her hands, looking at Lin Yuan with a hint of reverence. Because in her eyes, Lin Yuan always exuded a sense of mystery.

Lin Yuan rolled his eyes at her. ”Didn’t you just say it yourself? I’m cultivating immortality.”

”Tsk~” Zhang Yan returned a roll of her eyes. ”Then what realm is Senior Brother in now?”

”Just at Qi Condensation.”

Zhang Yan reached out and tapped the iron fence. ”Then Senior Brother, break a fence for me to see.”

”No, that’s against the law.”

”Senior Brother didn’t have so many qualms when he pulled out our nails.”

”Uh... haha.” Lin Yuan chuckled, abandoning the idea of continuing to joke with her.

He then stood up from his meditation, only to find his legs were sore from sitting cross-legged for so long, and he stumbled a bit when he got up.

Seeing this, Zhang Yan reached out to help him.

Lin Yuan quickly dodged to the side, almost saying, ”Men and women should not touch each other.”

Lin Yuan was surprised by his own overreaction. He had subconsciously started to avoid young women.

’Could it be, this is the power of the original intention?’

Seeing Zhang Yan’s confused expression, Lin Yuan could only find an excuse, ”The camera overhead is recording.”

”Don’t worry. No one will review the footage unless there’s an issue. Everyone held here is involved in online fraud, not serious criminals.”

”Since they’re not serious criminals, when can I get out? Didn’t you say it would only be two days?”

In fact, it was already Lin Yuan’s third day inside.

”Well, who knew your ’accomplice’ had so much information on her?”

Lin Yuan asked curiously, ”Are you talking about Song Xiaoxiao?”

”Yes. After we thoroughly checked her WeChat chat history, we found that not only was she suspected of online fraud, but she was also involved in that...”

”What?”

”Prostitution.”

Lin Yuan almost forgot about that. Who was she? She was Song Xiaoxiao! It didn’t seem strange at all.

”Until her case is sorted out, it’s not good to just release you as the apparent party involved. But don’t worry, it’ll be two days at the latest.

You don’t need to worry about your girlfriend either; I’ve taken care of everything for you.” Zhang Yan looked proud.

”Is my girlfriend behaving?”

”Wh-what?”

”I mean, is she still crying or making a fuss?”

”She’s no longer crying or making a fuss. I assured her you’d be fine. But don’t worry, I did it as a People’s Police Officer; I didn’t reveal your identity.

However, she seems to be starting to worry about her best friend again.”

Hearing that Xia Ye was fine, Lin Yuan felt relieved. Only then did he have the mind to deal with Song Xiaoxiao.

”Given the current situation, how long will Song Xiaoxiao likely be held?”

”Considering her transfer amounts, online fraud is already a minor issue. Originally, selling courses like hers falls into a gray area. There are too many people online who scam others, and it’s hard to identify.

But she has a dark history that can’t withstand scrutiny. Oh, and she also set up several fan welfare groups, the kind that are on the edge of legality. Are you aware of this situation?”

Lin Yuan rubbed his forehead, a headache coming on. ”Sigh~, why am I not surprised?”

”It seems Senior Brother knows her quite well.”

”No,” Lin Yuan immediately denied. ”It’s not about knowing her well; it’s just knowing she’s a dangerous wall.”

”Haha, Senior Brother, you don’t have to be so reserved when talking to me. We’ll be working together later.”

”Huh?” Lin Yuan was a bit puzzled. ”What will we be cooperating on?”

”I’m not sure either, but I heard from my mentor that he plans to have me assist you all later. Can you give me a little hint first?” Zhang Yan looked at Lin Yuan with anticipation, her eyes full of excitement.

”Uh...” Lin Yuan himself wasn’t clear about the arrangements of those big shots. ”It’s not that I won’t tell you, I don’t even know myself.” Lin Yuan was actually still a bit confused about when he became her Senior Brother.

”Senior Brother~” Zhang Yan drew out the end of her sentence. ”Can’t you just tell me a little bit?”

Cough, cough~. It was hard to imagine that she, in her uniform outside the iron bars, was acting a little bit coquettish towards him, in his prison uniform inside.

Of course, Zhang Yan’s expression at this moment was entirely due to her seeing Lin Yuan as an older brother. She was like a little girl begging her older brother to tell her a secret.

”I really don’t know! You can’t force me to make something up, can you? After I get out, how about we work together to take back VVVV?”

”Alright, Senior Brother, you’re too composed.” Although Zhang Yan gave up, she still didn’t believe Lin Yuan was unaware.

”Well, let’s talk about Song Xiaoxiao’s matter instead.”

”Senior Brother, you’re not thinking of getting her out, are you?”

Lin Yuan chuckled, ”Is there such a possibility?”

”That would be a mistake, and an irreparable major mistake.”

”What are you thinking? Where would I get such divine powers?” Lin Yuan was speechless; he really didn’t know what kind of image she had conjured up of him in her mind. ”I mean, is there a possibility of going through normal channels to lessen her Sin?”

”Are you helping her because of your girlfriend?” The expression on Zhang Yan’s face already indicated that she didn’t approve of Lin Yuan doing this.

”It’s not just that. She was quite good to my girlfriend. If it were just for that, at most I’d take care of her life after she gets out in the future. But the problem now is that she was implicated because of me.

Although what she did was messed up, if it weren’t for me, she wouldn’t have been caught. I’ll tell you the truth, even if it’s a bit incorrect...”

Although Lin Yuan hadn’t known Zhang Yan for long, her straightforwardness made him feel he could say some borderline things to her.

So Lin Yuan whispered, ”What she did isn’t uncommon these days. If she were caught by you all because of that, then so be it, but to be implicated because of me, then...”

”Senior Brother, how can you say something like that? If I said something like that in front of my mentor, he would immediately call my grandpa to complain.”

Lin Yuan didn’t want to know what kind of relationship her family had with Director Wang. ”Senior Brother, this is just me not treating you as an outsider.”
