Alchemy Master

Chapter 899, Seizing the Sword Barehanded

Translator: Silavin

“Hehe, I want you to experience what true despair is before I let you die!” Ling Tuyai laughed savagely. Those four sword lights grew increasingly brilliant, their sharp momentum sufficient to tear apart anything.

The sword lights were fast as lightning, ultimately falling toward Qin Yichen’s four limbs.

He wanted to sever his limbs. He wanted to wash away his own stain before everyone, letting everyone know that he, Ling Tuyai, was inviolable!

*Whoosh!* Within the sharp sound of tearing wind, suddenly an obscure sound rang out. Some gazes watching the barrier intently suddenly constricted sharply.

They saw that Qin Yichen, who originally could barely breathe, now stood with his body straight. What made hearts palpitate most was that on his hands, a pair of peculiar arm guards had appeared at some unknown time.

Those arm guards did not look particularly striking, nor was it clear what material they were forged from. But the black energy swirling upon them made countless hearts palpitate, even giving an illusion that one’s Soul would be devoured.

As black energy rose, a violent yet formidable aura also spread out, making people involuntarily want to avoid it.

At this moment, the savage smile at the corner of Ling Tuyai’s mouth suddenly froze. His eyes widened in disbelief as he stared at Qin Yichen.

Because he saw that those four sword lights capable of easily severing Qin Yichen’s body had actually stopped, unable to advance even slightly!

And these four sword lights were actually grasped by two palms wreathed in black energy!

*Crack!*

Then, the two palms clenched, and those four sword lights that seemed capable of cutting through anything were actually crushed to powder.

“*Siii!* How is this possible!?” Seeing this scene, someone immediately let out a shocked cry.

Ling Tuyai’s mind shook, unable to believe as he looked at the bedraggled Qin Yichen. Only then did he discover that the latter’s eyes were also filled with black energy, as though burning with roaring black flames!

At this moment, Qin Yichen, with black energy swirling around his body and filled with a violent aura, looked like a Demon God walking out from Hell, with all Souls being in his grasp.

At this moment, terror arose in the depths of Ling Tuyai’s heart.

Since obtaining the Azure Wave Saint’s inheritance, this was the first time he had felt fear.

Even when facing the Radiance Sacred Master, he had never experienced this feeling.

Yet now, he was afraid to the point he even wanted to flee.

Although he was extremely unwilling to admit it, his instinct was telling him to stay away from that black energy.

This thought only flashed through his mind for an instant. The next moment, Ling Tuyai’s heart was filled with rage. He roared, “Hateful bastard!”

“Die!” He gripped the Azure Wave Sacred Sword, Saint Prestige surging around his entire body as he charged toward Qin Yichen. It seemed only by slaying Qin Yichen could he wash away the humiliation in his heart.

*Heh!* Looking at Ling Tuyai, whose mind had been overwhelmed by anger, a cold arc curved at the corner of Qin Yichen’s mouth.

Facing Ling Tuyai holding the Azure Wave Sacred Sword, he actually advanced to meet him, his palm directly grasping toward the Azure Wave Sacred Sword ‘s blade.

“What is he doing? Does he want to seize the Sacred Sword barehanded!?” At the scene, seeing this moment, everyone could not help but draw in a cold breath. Within those pairs of eyes, there was only shock and incomprehension.

Even the Brilliant Sky Sacred Master and Sky Cliff Pavilion Master could not maintain their composure.

“No! He’s not barehanded…”

Only that Envoy from Sacred Martial City soon shifted his attention to Qin Yichen’s arms, where the black energy was most concentrated.

Those were arm guards that even he could not discern what material they were forged from.

Although those arm guards did not seem particularly dazzling, the black energy swirling upon them made even him feel palpitations.

“That black energy…” The Sacred Martial City Envoy’s eyes showed carefulness and hidden worry for the first time.

He sensed something ominous and evil in that black energy.

He could even clearly perceive that after this pair of arm guards appeared, Qin Yichen’s entire aura had changed.

It was no longer peaceful and calm, but violent and murderous!

And at this moment, within the duelling platform, the two had already made contact…

*Clang!* Just when everyone thought Qin Yichen’s hands would be severed, the Azure Wave Sacred Sword struck against the fist wreathed in black energy, actually producing a sound of metal clashing with metal, as though striking iron against iron.

Of course, that could not possibly be just any ordinary metal. Even if it were some incredible Artifact, under the Azure Wave Sacred Sword, it would definitely be severed.

Yet, that was merely a fist!

“How is this possible!?” This scene before his eyes left Ling Tuyai immediately dumbstruck.

Of course Qin Yichen would not miss this excellent opening. His palm transformed from fist to open hand, grasping the Azure Wave Sacred Sword ‘s blade.

“You’re seeking death!” Ling Tuyai came to his senses and instantly activated Saint Prestige. Following along the Azure Wave Sacred Sword, it surged mightily toward Qin Yichen.

*Heh!* The corner of Qin Yichen’s mouth once again lifted in a mocking arc. Black energy extended from his palm, creeping upward onto the Azure Wave Sacred Sword ‘s blade.

*Ziiiii ziiii…*

Immediately, harsh sounds transmitted from the Azure Wave Sacred Sword ‘s blade. The blade that had originally been brilliantly radiant with sacred light, upon encountering the black energy, actually showed signs of corrosion.

Moreover, this corrosion was extremely rapid. In an instant, the entire brilliant blade was covered with a layer of black energy. Furthermore, the black energy rapidly spread to the tip and extended to Ling Tuyai’s palm.

“Ahh!” Suddenly, an inhuman shriek transmitted from Ling Tuyai’s mouth. He retreated rapidly, not even caring about the Azure Wave Sacred Sword anymore.

His pupils dilated as he stared fixedly at his hand wielding the Sacred Sword.

On his palm, a wisp of black energy swirled. He activated Saint Prestige, wanting to annihilate this wisp of black energy. However, the black energy was in no way inferior, devouring the Saint Prestige and rapidly strengthening itself.

In just a moment, the original wisp of black energy had become a mass, enveloping Ling Tuyai’s palm and gradually extending toward his arm…

“No! No!” Ling Tuyai shrieked. He watched helplessly as his palm was corroded by the black energy, leaving only bone. Then he gritted his teeth, condensed Saint Prestige into a blade, and severed the palm wreathed in black energy.

This entire process happened in a very short time. In fact, many people had not yet recovered from the shock of Qin Yichen catching that sword when they saw the Azure Wave Sacred Sword in Ling Tuyai’s hand had been seized by Qin Yichen. Then, Ling Tuyai rapidly retreated to only sever one of his own hands.

At this very moment, the originally very noisy scene eerily quieted down, leaving only the sound of wind and those dumbstruck faces.

Within those pairs of eyes, there was only shock, amazement, and even confusion and incomprehension.

Clearly, they could not understand why Ling Tuyai, who had been suppressing Qin Yichen in every aspect whether in terms of cultivation or momentum, would suddenly not only have his sword seized but also sever one of his own hands.
