A few minutes later...

”Ugh, my hand is so dirty now. I’m going to take a shower.”

”Me too.”

As Xiaoyun’s wives headed back into the living room and towards the staircase, the trash was fully picked up from the floor.

”Houqin, you should probably go take a shower as well.”

With her out of the kitchen, Xiaoyun was now all alone as he slowly pushed the trash bin back inside the cabinet.

Walking over to the sink, he started washing his hands. Then he splashed some of the cold water onto his face to wake himself up.

”What a crazy, hectic week...”

After murmuring to himself, he slowly walked back to the living room, sitting down on the sofa before grabbing a soft cushion to put behind his neck.

Waves of drowsiness still quickly overwhelmed his body, forcing him to close his eyes as he started to fall asleep.

---

”Honey? Honey?”

”Hm?”

As Xiaoyun opened his eyes, it was Leyan standing in front of him and shaking his arms, looking down at him from above.

Both her hair and her body were wrapped up in white towels, looking oddly weird as they usually turned grey when wet.

”Don’t sleep in the living room, and you still haven’t taken a shower yet. We’ve already finished taking a shower.”

”Okay...”

Slowly, Xiaoyun got up from the sofa, his hand scratching his head as he walked over towards the staircase.

”Honey, you need my help?”

”I’m good.”

Watching him walk up and down left and right as if he were drunk, Leyan quickly followed up and started walking behind Xiaoyun.

”Honey, are you that tired?” Leyan quietly whispered as the two of them arrived at the changing room.

”I’m just a little mentally exhausted... I can still take a shower myself.” Xiaoyun answered as he let out a loud yawn.

Leyan didn’t speak up again. She silently helped her husband get undressed before undressing herself.

”Sister Leyan, where did you go?”

Houqin’s voice immediately made Xiaoyun freeze up at the half-wall corner, just right before they could see the shower area.

He looked over to Leyan, only to have her push him before running out the door and closing it behind her.

”Who’s there?”

Houqin asked as her voice started to sound a little nervous, seemingly as if she had realized the shadowy figure wasn’t Leyan.

”It’s me.”

”W-Why are you here?”

Xiaoyun could see through the glass door. She was standing in a bunch of foggy steam, followed by the sound of water hitting the ground.

”Leyan told me to take a shower... She told me everyone had finished taking a shower already.”

”Oh...”

As the atmosphere grew more awkward, Xiaoyun realized Leyan was clearly trying to make something happen.

”Ahem. I’ll just wait downstairs until you’re finished.”

”N-No need. You can come in...”

Without any hesitation, he took a few steps forward, walking closer and closer until he was right at the glass door.

Right there, Houqin’s naked body was on display. Her clear, pale skin was being splashed by steamy hot water from the showerhead.

”I won’t look.”

Xiaoyun murmured as he turned his head, opening the door before walking over to one of the showerheads himself.

”Thank you...”

As Houqin resumed taking a shower and Xiaoyun turned on the showerhead, the urge to break the silence overwhelmed him.

”Houqin, are you feeling better?”

”Yeah.”

”That’s good, that’s good...”

Neither of them spoke up. Only the sound of water echoed in the room as some of it hit their body and the tiled floor.

”I-I finish—”

”You sure? Your hair doesn’t look wet... You probably should wash it if you want to smell good.”

Houqin fell into silence. This time, she didn’t turn off the showerhead or walk away as she looked over to the indented wall that held a bunch of containers.

”The white one is the hair shampoo, and the yellow one is conditioner... And the blue one is body wash.”

”I-I know the blue one already...”

Xiaoyun didn’t say anything back as he continued staring forward at the wall, wetting his hair before grabbing some of the hair shampoo into his hand.

After applying it onto his head and quickly rinsing it off, he finally decided to take a glance over at Houqin.

She was standing before a showerhead that was turned off. Her hand was still brushing the shampoo all over her long hair with her head looking down.

”You need me to help?”

”I-I’m fine.”

”Don’t be so shy. I have already washed my hair a hundred times... Let me help you with this.”

Houqin wanted to say no, but she was not given a choice as Xiaoyun quickly walked over and adjusted all of her hair to the back.

She could feel his hands gently brushing over, smoothly running between her hair and her scalp as he applied the hair shampoo.

”Geez, your hair is almost as long as Nami’s... Has anyone told you to get a haircut?”

Xiaoyun curiously asked as he started applying the shampoo to the lower part of her long hair, which reached halfway up her back.

”I was too busy to get a haircut.” Houqin quietly answered, her voice no longer sounding nervous like earlier.

”Leyan can probably help you cut your hair tomorrow. She’s really good at it... But make sure to tell her what kind of hair you want.”

Houqin nodded her head, causing some of the hair to flip to the front. Still, Xiaoyun didn’t go out of his way to brush over it.

He simply grabbed the top of the strand, moving it back as he continued applying the hair shampoo all the way to the bottom.

”Okay, now for the rinse... Close your eyes, okay?”

---

After a short shampoo and conditioner session, the two of them were finally walking out of the shower area.

”Houqin, can I ask you something?” Xiaoyun suddenly asked.

”What is it?” Houqin questioned back, stopping in the middle of the bathroom as she looked over to his face.

”It’s nothing serious. I just wanted to ask, did you not take a shower with everyone else earlier or something?”

”I-I was showering with them e-earlier.”

The nervousness immediately resurfaced. Still, Xiaoyun kept staring at her face as his face started to look more and more serious.

”You know, you can be honest with me.”

”I really was taking a shower with them...”

As Houqin looked towards the floor, the serious look on his face instantly vanished. He quickly realized she was really taking a shower with them.

”Sorry. I didn’t mean to question you like this. It’s just that Leyan’s body was all dry when she came downstairs to get me.”

Seeing her standing there in silence, Xiaoyun turned around and went towards the exit, only to find the door locked.

”Huh...”

As Xiaoyun pulled the door again, the hallway door remained in place. Something was blocking it from the outside.

”Leyan! Open the door.”

”Go take a hot bath together. The two of you need to release some stress before coming out of the bathroom.” Leyan answered.

”You serious?”

The other side didn’t answer again, leaving him in an awkward situation as Houqin overheard the entire conversation.

”Ahem, sorry about that... Leyan sometimes is a little out of whack for no reason.”

”S-She’s been really nice to me.” Houqin quietly whispered as her face oddly didn’t seem to be angry or surprised by it.

”Don’t fall for her facade. She can be just as devious as any other person... Damn it, they really locked the other door as well”

After trying the door connected to his bedroom, it was clear they really weren’t going to let them leave the bathroom until they took a bath.

”M-Maybe we should just go inside it,” Houqin murmured as her eyes constantly glanced over the hot tub.

”I guess. Not like we have any other choice.”

As Xiaoyun hopped right into the hot tub, it instantly caused some of the water to flow out before stabilizing.

The warm water flushed all the tiredness away, both his body and his mind feeling relaxed as he leaned back against the edge.

”What are you waiting for? It’s cold standing there.” Xiaoyun curiously asked.

”I-I don’t think this is a good idea a-anymore,” Houqin answered as her eyes stared towards the steamy water.

”Are you embarrassed of being naked in front of me?”

”N-No.”

”Then get in—”

”Ah!”

Houqin was caught off guard as Xiaoyun forcefully grabbed onto her arms, lifting her over the edge as she fell face-first.

Soon, her entire upper body was in hot water, followed by the rest of her body as he grabbed onto her legs.

”There you go. Now close your eyes and relax... I don’t want to talk right now.”

Houqin’s face was still mad at first, but seeing Xiaoyun’s face looking awfully tired, she kept the anger all to herself.

She leaned back into the hot tub, copying what Xiaoyun was doing with her arms on the side, barely floating above the water.
