”Commander... What does it make our relationship now?” Houqin suddenly asked as she sat down next to him.

”You’re my head of the logistics department. W-What else?” Xiaoyun nervously responded as his brain started to short-circuit.

”Is that all?”

Houqin sounded a little disappointed. But Xiaoyun didn’t dare to respond as he didn’t want to cause any misunderstanding.

The last thing he wanted was to repeat the same ambiguity mistake that he had made with Kate and Anna to happen to Houqin.

”I hope you understand, Houqin. I’m already married, we can’t be anything more than just co-workers.” Xiaoyun answered.

”Just co-workers...”

Hearing her voice sounded more and more depressed, Xiaoyun resisted the urge to turn around.

He knew temptation was the devil. One small mistake was going to lead to a disaster that could ruin his marriage.

”This was purely for treatment and nothing else. Please do not take this as the wrong meaning or anything——”

Just as he turned around to clarify it in front of her, he was a little stunned as she was holding back the urge to laugh.

”Puff, did you actually think I was in love with you or something? I just wanted to say thanks, and that’s it.”

”Oh.”

Xiaoyun once again awkwardly scratched his head as Houqin leaned back onto the sofa, stretching her arms as she looked a little relieved.

”Are you disappointed?” Houqin curiously asked after seeing a hint of disappointment on his face.

”What? No. I’m not disappointed. I’m more than happy to see the misunderstanding being cleared up between us.”

”Yeah, right... Ahem, Commander Xiaoyun, I just have a little question.” Houqin asked as she cleared her throat.

”What is it?”

”What if I get pregnant while sitting inside your cum? What will you do?”

Xiaoyun froze for the third time that night. He had never thought of that angle at all. Not even remotely once.

”Ha, I’m just kidding. You don’t have to worry about that. There’s no way your cum can go inside me.”

”H-How are you so certain?” Xiaoyun nervously asked as his face had the word concerned written all over it.

”Because I’m still a virgin, Commander. Unless your sperm can penetrate through my skin, I don’t see it happening.”

”But then how would the sperm kill the virus inside your body?”

This time, Houqin was the one who froze in place. She had never thought about it from that angle at all.

The fact that her body somehow felt much better after sitting inside it meant the sperm had gone inside her body to take effect.

”I-It’s surely not going to happen like that. I-It’s my safe day today. I-I should be fine regardless.”

Houqin quietly murmured as her voice barely sounded confident at all. It was almost as if she were using it as an excuse to comfort herself.

”I really hope so... To answer your question earlier, I’ll——”

Before Xiaoyun could answer, Houqin quickly covered his mouth with her hand as if she didn’t want to hear it.

”If you don’t love me, please don’t say the answer out loud. It’s only going to make our relationship more complicated.”

As she slowly let her hand go, Xiaoyun didn’t speak up again as the two of them sat on the sofa in silence.

”I’m sorry, Houqin.” Xiaoyun suddenly apologizes as he suddenly looked down to his knees.

”Why are you apologizing?”

”I was the one who sent you out to Changsha. None of these would have happened if I had never sent you there.”

”You... You don’t have to blame yourself for that. I’m a soldier after all. It’s only a part of my duty to serve.”

”Yeah, but your job had always been in the back office——”

”I accept your apology. You don’t have to blame yourself anymore... I’m more than glad that you had saved in time before the zombie mauled me into pieces.”

As Houqin didn’t try to push his responsibilities this time, Xiaoyun felt much better as he turned over to look back at her.

”I promise I won’t send you out again. You can be reassured that this kind of risky diplomatic mission won’t happen again.”

”Thanks...”

Just as Houqin looked down to her knees, someone suddenly knocked on the apartment door.

”Xiaoyun, are you in there?”

”Shit. Why is Wuli here?”

Xiaoyun immediately got up from the sofa, his face panicking as he looked around for places for Houqin to hide.

”Why are you panicking? The two of us didn’t do anything. You only did this to save me... I’ll explain it to Wuli myself.”

”You don’t understand. Wuli is not going to buy it at all——”

The front door suddenly burst right open, revealing Wuli, who froze at the entrance as she couldn’t believe what was in front of her eyes.

Xiaoyun’s massive bulge was pointing right in front of a naked Houqin, with semen and cum stains all over her body.

”XIAOYUN!”

---

”You’re telling me you cured Houqin from a zombie bite with your... cum?” Wuli questioned as she sat on the sofa with a calm face.

Houqin nodded her head, with Xiaoyun rubbing his hands over the back of his head as if he had just gone through several painful injuries.

”I got bitten by a zombie while I was trapped in a hotel... We both thought I was dead until he called Tianci. She was the one who suggested that idea.”

Xiaoyun quickly handed his phone over, which shows a long record of missed phone calls and the two calls that got accepted.

Wuli had no choice but to buy their argument, as she herself knew the effect of Xiaoyun’s cum. But it still sounded a little far-fetched to her.

”I really hope so... If I find out that you had lied, Xiaoyun, you can pack your funeral when we get back home.”

As he nodded his head several times, Houqin couldn’t help but chuckle a little, seeing his own command being so scared of his wife.

”Ahem, Wuli, why are you here anyway? Aren’t you supposed to be at Luoping right now?”

”I’m actually the joint commander of the 4th and 5th Army Corps... You’re the one who told the logistics department to gather the troops to Shaoguan, no?”

”That still didn’t answer my question.”

”You never said I couldn’t leave Luoping. I’m just moving to another settlement under our control. I’m not in the front line or anything.”

As Wuli desperately tried to come up with an excuse, Xiaoyun only let out a small sigh before rolling his eyes.

”You really want to be in the front line that badly?”

”Of course I do...”

Wuli quietly murmured as she thought back to all the backline defensive positions that Xiaoyun had purposely assigned her.

”Then you can come with me to Changsha... Houqin, can you explain the whole story when you head towards Changsha with Yiming?”

Seeing the two already moving past their feud, she was a little surprised. Still, she quickly recovered her professionalism.

”It’s a long story...”

---

When Yiming and I first arrived in Changsha, we met Pinli and Chengyi, who instantly brought us to meet with Zhongxiong.

It was a pretty warm first meet. They were willing to sell us missiles on the first day for oil without beating around the bush.

We didn’t even need to tell them what we’re going to use it for. It was almost as if they were willing to sell anything as long as we could afford it.

Yiming started having different ideas. He wanted to buy not just a missile, but the whole production line that was based in Changsha.

They wanted at least hundreds of barrels of oil for an outdated missile production line, which I thought was beyond crazy for a price tag.

I reject Yiming’s demand. There was no way we could afford that much oil without impacting the entire logistics system.

As the negotiation stalled, I was starting to get a little worried about what was happening back home.

I wasn’t sure if the mutant had attacked yet. Every day that went by, I started to feel the pressure to agree with Yiming’s suggestion.

The other side was starting to include the missile line in the deal as well, not letting us get the missile unless we buy out the production line.

As the weekend approaches, I folded under pressure... But that’s when I learned the person who was negotiating with us was dead.

Zhongxiong had died of a heart attack overnight, right on the very Friday night when we were about to sign the deal.

What was most confusing about the whole ordeal was the fact that one of his assistants stated that Zhongxiong had listed Yiming as his successor.

Not his son or the fellow officers who had been working under him. I asked Yiming if Zhongxiong told him about it, but he was just as confused as I was.

It was a free cake falling from the sky—a poisonous cake trapping Yiming in a bubble that he refused to get out of.
