You call this a projection?

”Do you think the fact that I was misunderstood by you all and sent to this detention cell as an accomplice to that boy named ’Jotaro’—whom I didn’t even know previously...

Was merely a coincidence?

Why am I here? Why is Jotaro here? Why did he and I meet in this place?

All of this is because there is gravity between people!”

Shirou Emiya knew exactly what kind of person Jotaro Kujo was. He also knew exactly what the ”evil spirit” Jotaro and the others spoke of actually was. He did not avoid Jotaro’s gaze. Instead, he openly used this mystic tone, looking past the officer toward Jotaro Kujo.

”At first, I didn’t understand. But after witnessing the existence of that ’evil spirit,’ I understood.

I was likely pulled in by that ’evil spirit’ and drawn into this affair under the guidance of [Fate].”

Hearing these words that sounded nonsensical to outsiders, not only the officer but even Jotaro Kujo began to suspect that Shirou Emiya had been scared witless by the previous display.

Jotaro stopped paying attention to him.

But it didn’t matter. Shirou only needed to leave an impression on Jotaro for now. Whether that impression was good or bad was acceptable to Shirou.

Thus, regarding the officer’s invitation to leave, Shirou directly refused: ”Therefore, I will not be leaving this place for a short while.

I have a premonition. Jotaro’s mother will return here soon, and when she does, she will be accompanied by two more holders of ’evil spirits.’

And they will bring the reason for why Jotaro is haunted by this ’evil spirit.’

You can consider this a prophecy.”

This was the persona Shirou Emiya had crafted for himself—the Prophet. Or rather, in the wondrous world of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, there is no shortage of prophets or various methods of divination.

Divining with Tarot cards, crystal balls, or Feng Shui... these were all within a semi-understandable range. After all, the aforementioned methods have ties to traditional occultism. But why could someone who does sculpture also prophesy? And even awaken a Stand that can precisely carve out fate?!

Since the JoJo world wasn’t picky about its candidates, what was the harm in Shirou Emiya playing the part of a prophet? In terms of familiarity with the future (the plot), Shirou felt he could crush most prophets in this world.

Thinking of this, Shirou turned back to the officer. ”As a reward for your kindness in reminding me to leave, this can be considered a friendly warning.

With the destructive power of that ’evil spirit’ just now, once three ’evil spirits’ are gathered in this cell... never mind the issue of casualties, just look at the potential damage to public property.

Officer, I doubt you’d be able to write a report stating that it was all destroyed by ’evil spirits,’ right?”

If you don’t want to lose your job over this, do your best to find a way to take a few days off during this time.”

It was hard to say how much the officer believed Shirou’s mystic act.

However, it was obvious that the officer likely didn’t want to lose his job.

Not to mention, two more ”evil spirits” were supposedly on their way. He had already used up the last of his courage just coming to persuade Shirou. Hearing that there was more to come, the officer practically fled the scene.

Only Shirou Emiya and Jotaro Kujo remained quietly in the cell... No, it probably wasn’t ”quiet.” Because Jotaro wanted to investigate what the ”evil spirit” behind him was—or perhaps because he had heard the ”Prophet” facade—Jotaro’s Stand had brought him a large number of books on the occult. Of course, there were also plenty of remote-controlled cars and game consoles to kill time.

The Stand’s stat sheet for Jotaro at this period was definitely not just 5A1C!

Thinking that a Stand with a 6A stat sheet was right before his eyes, yet he couldn’t see it, accurately comprehend it, or project it, Shirou felt a wave of regret at missing out on such an invincible Stand.

However, that feeling was soon dispersed by the sound of the main doors opening again.

It was Joseph Joestar. After receiving the overseas call from Holy Kujo—who had returned home from the station—Joseph was deeply worried that Holy might awaken a Stand. He had traveled to Japan overnight at the fastest speed possible for this era. After nearly half a day in the air, he had rushed non-stop to the station where Jotaro was held.

One had to admit that as a Ripple warrior and a Stand user, Joseph’s body was incredibly durable. Even after such a long journey, he was able to pick up the two other officers (who hadn’t managed to get leave) with one hand each. He tossed them aside so they wouldn’t get in the way or get hurt.

”Jotaro, he’s your grandfather! He can definitely help you, come out with your grandfather!”

Attracted by Joseph’s actions and hearing Holy Kujo’s cry, Jotaro didn’t answer her immediately. Instead, he looked at Shirou Emiya.

Two people had arrived; Shirou’s guess had actually been correct. So, would these two also be people possessed by ”evil spirits” just like him? If that were true, would the rest of Shirou’s words also be...?

Just as Jotaro was thinking this—Clang!!

Joseph, who had swiped a key from one of the officers while lifting them, used it to violently throw open the cell door. After drawing Jotaro’s gaze with the commotion, he spoke in a tone that brooked no refusal: ”Get out. Come home with me!”

”...”

Normally, with Jotaro’s personality, he would likely be very annoyed by such a tone. But compared to such trifles, there were things he wanted to know more.

Or rather, he spoke to confirm certain things: ”Tell me, do you and that ugly man behind you also have ’evil spirits’ on you?

And, do you know why this ’evil spirit’ appeared on me?”
