Wrong Flirt, Right Trouble: His Uncle Pulls Me Close

Yara Scott was also baffled. “What’s going on? What Mercer Family are they talking about?”

But just as Yara Scott opened her mouth to speak, another vicious slap whipped across her face. “Why did your Scott Family lie to me? You told me this guy was some broke nobody!”

Someone from the Mercer Family? A broke nobody?

‘If the Scott Family hadn’t said that, I never would have bet against these two here today.’

Yara Scott was completely stunned by the blows, knocked to the ground and unable to get back up.

Nina Scott realized that Cameron Walker would raise his hand and hit someone whenever he felt like it, all because Yara Scott had no idea how to fight back.

Nina Scott walked over to help Yara Scott up, but Yara shoved her away. “Get lost!”

“I try to do something nice, and this is the thanks I get. But you’re right. You have to kneel anyway, so it’s more convenient for you on the ground.”

Nina Scott paused for a moment, then continued, “Go on and kowtow. Don’t be a sore loser.”

Yara Scott remembered the bet. She had lost, which meant she had to kowtow to Nina Scott twice.

Yara Scott scrambled up from the floor, but before she could get her balance, Nina Scott kicked her ankle, and she dropped straight to her knees.

Nina Scott said, “Did I say you could get up? I thought you liked kneeling.”

Yara Scott tried to struggle, but Nina Scott simply forced her head down. “Alright, I’ll drop the act. I’m a billionaire. Cards on the table.”

“Yara, if you kowtow now, we can put this matter to rest. If you don’t, then I’ll have someone come and help you.”

Yara Scott truly never imagined that Nina Scott was so wealthy now. ‘What kind of incredible luck does she have?’

‘Is this like one of those novels where you randomly marry some guy off the street, and he turns out to be the richest man in the world? Did that actually happen in real life?’

Whatever prideful backbone Yara Scott once had was long gone, ground down by Cameron Walker. She figured it was better to just get this over with. It was humiliating, but she didn’t want to cause any more trouble for herself.

Just as she prepared to kowtow, Cameron Walker snarled, “You dare!”

“If you dare kowtow and disgrace the Walker Family, I’ll beat you to death!” Cameron Walker threatened viciously.

Yara Scott was genuinely terrified of Cameron Walker, so she didn’t dare to kowtow.

Nina Scott couldn’t believe Cameron Walker would dare to make threats in front of everyone. “What? Are you planning on backing out of our bet?”

Cameron Walker was a scoundrel to begin with, and now he was going to play dirty. “So what if I don’t? What can you possibly do to me?”

‘It was all just big talk. If I refuse, it’s not like these people can actually force me, can they?’

With that, Cameron Walker grabbed Yara Scott. “Let’s get out of here. Stop making a scene.”

And just like that, Cameron Walker was leaving. Nina Scott watched, fuming. “Is Cameron Walker just going to walk away like that? Did we buy this store for nothing?”

‘Did I really spend all that money for nothing?’

Miles Mercer said, “He won’t get far.”

“Hmm?” Nina Scott looked at Miles Mercer. She had a feeling this man was about to stir up some trouble.

Miles Mercer asked, “Do you want to keep shopping, or would you rather watch a live stream?”

“What live stream?” Nina Scott didn’t get it at first.

“Cameron Walker’s, of course. Though, it might be a little nauseating.”

Nina Scott understood. ‘So, Cameron Walker thinks he can just run off? He has to ask for Miles Mercer’s permission first.’

“Let’s go! Why wouldn’t I? We won this fair and square.”

“Alright. But there’s no rush. Let’s check out our new store first. You’re the boss now; you can start planning things out.”

Nina Scott: “…”

‘Just like that, she was the boss!’

“No, you’re the one who bought it. It’s yours.”

“I don’t know the first thing about running these. If you don’t want it, I’ll just have to have someone dispose of it.”

Nina Scott asked, “What do you mean, ‘dispose of it’?”

“Just transfer ownership to anyone.”

“Wouldn’t that mean losing a lot of money?”

If you buy a place and immediately try to sell it, people will think something’s wrong with it. You might not even find a buyer.

“Probably,” Miles Mercer said. “I’m not really sure.”

“Isn’t that a bit too wasteful? Won’t your grandfather scold you?” Nina Scott asked worriedly. You don’t just throw money away like that, even if you have it.

Of course not. The old man never cared about money. The Mercer Family was never short on cash, and the old man would actually be delighted if someone was spending it.

But Miles Mercer said deliberately, “He might. But if you were the one running it, he definitely wouldn’t have any objections.”

“But what if I’m not good at it and I lose money?”

“Then you lose money. I’ll be your investor.”

“You’re quite generous, Boss Mercer. Then let’s get this straight: if I make a profit, I get a cut. If I lose money, you can’t blame me. And if you want to take the shop back, you can do it anytime.”

“Mm.” Although that’s what Miles Mercer said, in reality, he would never take the shop back, even if it lost money.

According to Nina Scott’s plan, she was just supposed to browse around and do some market research today. She never expected to end up researching a brand she now owned.

Later that evening, after Miles Mercer took a phone call, he asked Nina Scott, “Do you want to see it happen in person or watch the live stream?”

“In person, of course.” It might be absolutely disgusting, but watching it live would be far more satisfying than seeing it on a stream.

Nina Scott set out with Miles Mercer. His men had already brought Cameron Walker and Yara Scott back and locked them in a room together.

The live stream was already up, and its title was certainly sensational.

[I’m Cameron Walker of Lustre, and I’m Live Streaming Myself Eating Shit]

As soon as the title appeared, people started flooding in to watch. “No way, is this for real or just clickbait? If this is a stunt, I’m reporting it.”

“The description says it’s real, though. Calls him the first person on the entire internet to eat shit. That’s pretty hardcore. I kind of want to see this now.”

“When is the streamer gonna start? I can’t wait any longer.”

“I looked it up, and there really is a guy named Cameron Walker. I heard his family is pretty rich. Is this real or fake? A guy like that wouldn’t do this, would he? He’d bring shame to his entire family. It’s probably just someone with the same name.”

The internet was abuzz with discussion, and the number of viewers in the live stream had already surpassed one hundred thousand.

When Nina Scott and Miles Mercer arrived, Cameron Walker was still locked in the room with Yara Scott.

Yara Scott hadn’t expected Miles Mercer to be so capable. He’d had them captured and brought back so quickly, and then he’d used certain methods on them.

As a result, the moment Yara Scott saw Miles Mercer and Nina Scott, she immediately dropped to her knees. “Nina! This has nothing to do with me! I’ll honor my part of the bet! I’ll kowtow to you, I’ll kowtow!”

Yara Scott slammed her head on the floor several times, afraid that if Nina Scott got angry, she might really make her eat shit.

Looking at the situation, she felt that Cameron Walker probably wasn’t going to escape his fate.

She had only found out afterward just how powerful the Mercer Family was. It turned out the Scott Family had been the clowns all along.

But Yara Scott felt no sympathy for Cameron Walker. She felt he got what he deserved. It would be great if Nina Scott and Miles Mercer could just get him killed; for her, it would be a form of liberation.
