Wrong Flirt, Right Trouble: His Uncle Pulls Me Close

”You... you...” Silas Blackwood’s hands were trembling with rage.

”Anna Nash, what are you saying?” Mrs. Blackwood was stunned. That child... he wasn’t actually a member of the Blackwood family?

Did this mean... that the Blackwood family line was going to end with them?

”I said, that child isn’t Silas Blackwood’s. Silas can’t perform. I’ve checked him out—not a single swimmer in sight. He’s completely useless. That’s why he sleeps around so much but has never gotten anyone pregnant.”

”Impossible! Anna Nash, you bitch, stop spouting nonsense!” Silas Blackwood couldn’t believe it.

How could he possibly accept that he couldn’t have children?

Mrs. Blackwood couldn’t take it either. She nearly collapsed, but thankfully, Sylvia Blackwood was there to support her.

”Mom, are you okay?” Sylvia looked at her mother with concern.

This was all Anna Nash’s fault. Ever since Anna married into the family, their home had been in constant turmoil. She and her mother had always given in to Anna. Back when Anna was pregnant, she used the baby in her belly to lord it over them, bullying and ordering Sylvia around countless times.

Now, after wrapping them all around her little finger, Anna had the gall to be so brazen.

”Anna Nash, you actually dare to admit it! Brother, a woman like her should be beaten to death! Look how angry Mom is. Besides, she might be pregnant again! She even said she cheated on you both before and after the wedding.”

”Shut up!” Silas Blackwood, in a fit of rage, roared at her.

This was a matter of a man’s dignity, and Sylvia had the nerve to repeat it.

’Anna Nash, she’s really something else. Truly something else!’

But when Sylvia mentioned that Anna might be pregnant, Caleb Blackwood, standing unnoticed not far away, had a flicker in his eyes.

Just as Silas Blackwood raised his foot to kick Anna in the stomach, Caleb’s voice cut through the air. ”Stop!”

Everyone else froze and turned to look at Caleb Blackwood.

Caleb was, after all, the head of the family. Silas had no backbone, so everyone had to listen to Caleb.

”Dad, you heard what she said! I’m going to kill this woman today! She cheated on me, and the son I treasured isn’t even mine. The Blackwood family line is finished because of this.”

”Silas Blackwood, when will you ever grow up? Step aside!”

Anna Nash’s lips curled into a smirk as she looked at Caleb Blackwood.

’This man is acting all prim and proper now, but he’s not like this in my bed.’

She knew she was holding a trump card. Caleb wouldn’t let her die.

’I should even thank Sylvia. I was just wondering how I was going to reveal this secret.’

”Dad!”

Caleb’s eyes fixed on Anna. ”Is what Sylvia said true?”

Anna nodded. ”Yes.”

”Aren’t you afraid I’ll kick you out of the Blackwood family?” Caleb didn’t look particularly angry.

He wasn’t surprised at all that the child wasn’t Silas’s, given that Anna had used every trick in the book to marry into the family in the first place.

But the child in Anna’s belly now...

Lately, Caleb had rediscovered a youthful feeling with Anna. Say what you will about her, but in bed, she was truly adventurous and left him wanting more.

He also knew Anna was home every day; there couldn’t have been anyone else.

’So this child... can only be mine.’

Anna said, ”If you want to kick me out, then kick me out. I also agree to the divorce. Silas, I’ve already signed the divorce papers. We can go finalize it at any time.”

The divorce was finally happening, but Silas Blackwood wasn’t as happy as he expected to be.

Just then, a call came from the hospital. The child was gone.

The moment Silas saw the test results and confirmed the child wasn’t his, he’d told the hospital to turn off the machines.

’If he’s not mine, why bother saving him?’

And just like that, a life was lost.

Mrs. Blackwood cried out, ”This is karma! What have we done to deserve this?”

If only she hadn’t made things difficult for Ivy Sherwood back then and had let her marry into the family, would things be different now?

Instead, they had brought this curse into their home, and she had destroyed their entire family.

”You, get out!” Caleb Blackwood pointed towards the door.

Anna Nash picked herself up from the floor and walked straight out the door.

Silas couldn’t accept it. ”Dad, how can you just let her walk away like that? Your only grandson wasn’t even yours! It wouldn’t be going too far to kill her for this.”

Right now, Silas wanted nothing more than to kill Anna Nash.

Caleb said, ”Silas, you’ve gotten bold, have you? Thinking about murder now? Fine, go kill her. I definitely won’t stop you. But don’t you dare expect me to bail you out!”

Silas cowered. He didn’t dare.

”But Dad, we can’t just let this go, can we?”

Caleb said, ”Of course not. Let me think. We can’t let that woman off easy.”

Hearing Caleb say that, Silas finally breathed a sigh of relief.

’I knew it. How could Father possibly let Anna live a good life? If Father makes a move, Anna is doomed.’

”Sylvia, help your mother back to her room to rest. Silas, go take care of things at the hospital. The child is gone, and that needs to be handled.”

Silas said, ”I’m on it.”

Sylvia also helped Mrs. Blackwood to her room, leaving Caleb alone in the living room.

Caleb’s phone buzzed. It was a message from Anna, who had sent him an address.

The address was for a nearby hotel. She was telling him to come over.

Caleb then left the house. When he arrived, Anna was already in the room. Her face was red and swollen from where Silas had hit her.

Seeing Caleb, Anna said bluntly, ”I just started bleeding. Your son did this.”

”Anna Nash, you are a truly vicious woman.”

”But you still came, didn’t you, Caleb? Can you dare say you don’t have feelings for me? When I served you, didn’t you feel good? Didn’t you get off?”

Anna flashed a smile. ”Every time I called you ’Daddy,’ you got more excited than anyone.”

Caleb’s expression turned ugly. ”The child...”

”Is yours,” Anna admitted directly. ”Caleb, I’m pregnant. I’m pregnant with your child.”

”I know I deceived the Blackwood family. I stopped at nothing to marry Silas back then. I have no feelings for him, especially after how he treated me. But you’re different. You’re so charming. Even though you’re much older than me, I fell in love with you. You can do a DNA test on the baby in my belly anytime you want.”

”If you don’t want this child, I can get an abortion. If you want to kick me out, I’ll leave.”

But then Anna reached out, wrapped her arms around Caleb’s waist, and pressed herself against him. ”But I really do like you. I want to be with you, to have your children. You don’t want to see the Blackwood family line end with Silas, do you? With the child in my belly now, there’s still a chance.”
