Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 766, Jin Zhan Takes Action

Translator: Silavin

These three Extreme Demon Yetis stood over ten metres tall, truly behemoths to behold.

All of them were Level 100 Platinum Grade Bosses, possessing the Level 100 Divine Skill, Extreme Demon Form. Their Defence was staggering, such that ordinary Players simply could not penetrate their armour.

Moreover, the spiked clubs in their hands were no mere ornaments. When swung with full force, they were absolutely capable of instantly killing anyone.

The three Extreme Demon Yetis had divided their responsibilities amongst themselves.

Atop the walls, numerous Archers and Mages were unleashing their Skills upon the Bosses, but unfortunately, their Levels were far too low. Their attacks against the thick-skinned Extreme Demon Yeti were nothing more than attempts at tickling.

One was currently attacking the frontline city walls, causing the walls’ Durability to plummet at an alarming rate.

Another Extreme Demon Yeti was currently launching a fierce assault on the frontline outpost.

The outpost had activated its Protective Barrier, within which there were undoubtedly people taking shelter.

Though the outpost’s barrier possessed High Durability, at this rate, it certainly would not be able to hold out much longer.

Once the barrier was breached, the Players inside would surely face dire consequences.

Besides these, the third Extreme Demon Yeti seemed to have recognised that its assistance was not needed here. It was currently hefting its spiked club and heading towards the more distant sections of the walls.

Clearly, they intended to create as many breaches in the walls as possible, allowing the surrounding Fallen Corpse Puppets to surge through and slaughter the Players behind these fortifications, ultimately invading into Dragon Country.

With these three powerful Boss monsters present, the frontline soldiers and Players possessed virtually no capacity for resistance.

By now, many Fallen Corpse Puppets had reached the base of the walls, attacking alongside the Extreme Demon Yetis. The situation had become extremely critical.

Lu Fan, with his Black Dragon Perception, was able to observe this dire situation from a considerable distance.

However, he was not particularly anxious, because mere Level 100 Platinum Grade Bosses were no different from trash to him.

Just as Lu Fan was about to advance and eliminate these three Extreme Demon Yetis one by one, from the distance, a streak of fire shot towards them like a falling meteor.

Seeing this, Lu Fan narrowed his eyes slightly, [Wow, he arrived rather quickly.]

This person was none other than Jin Zhan, whom he had encountered once before.

Jin Zhan arrived riding his Three Legged Fire Bird, immediately meeting the Extreme Demon Yeti that had been heading elsewhere.

Without any hesitation whatsoever, Jin Zhan raised his Dragon Spear and thrust forward with a single strike.

Though the precise Skill he employed remained unclear, after this spear thrust, a concentrated beam of fire shot forth, directly piercing through the Extreme Demon Yeti’s body!

This fire beam appeared no thicker than an arm, yet its power was not to be underestimated.

After the Extreme Demon Yeti’s body was pierced, it immediately released a bone-chilling wail. From the wound as the epicentre, flames began spreading outward, incinerating its entire form to ash.

But that was not all.

This fire beam passed through the Extreme Demon Yeti’s body and struck the ground with tremendous force.

After a brief moment of silence, fire suddenly erupted from the earth. Pillars of flame shot skyward, covering a radius of a full kilometre!

The Fallen Corpse Puppets caught within were seared by the flames, all of them instantly incinerated and vanishing without a trace.

A single Skill had directly killed a Level 100 Platinum Grade Boss while simultaneously clearing countless ordinary Fallen Corpse Puppets. Such Combat Power lifted the spirits of every soldier present.

Even if the Fallen Corpse Puppets were strong, their people were even stronger!

This display from Jin Zhan truly bolstered morale. Nearby Players and soldiers became filled with excitement, raising their weapons and cheering loudly, celebrating Jin Zhan’s prowess.

Jin Zhan withdrew his Dragon Spear, his expression unchanged, as though what he had just accomplished was merely a casual gesture.

Subsequently, Jin Zhan prepared to ride his Three Legged Fire Bird and continue eliminating the remaining two Extreme Demon Yetis.

At that moment, he suddenly frowned, gazing into the distance.

Immediately after, shock and solemnity spread across his features.

For he witnessed what appeared to be the apocalypse itself approaching from afar. Two anomalous phenomena racing towards them at incredible speed.

On one side, countless bright yellow lightning bolts swept forward, forming a storm that connected Heaven and Earth.

Whatever was caught within this lightning storm, all Fallen Corpse Puppets would instantly disintegrate.

On the other side lay something even more bizarre.

Stars of varying sizes materialised from nothingness, plummeting from the sky.

Each star created an explosion of tremendous power.

Whether struck by the explosions or directly hit by the falling stars, all Fallen Corpse Puppets were completely crushed, with absolutely no possibility of survival.

These two phenomena advanced with crushing force, completely clearing all Fallen Corpse Puppets in their path. The spectacle truly resembled the end of the world.

For a moment, Jin Zhan even wondered if the terrifying Monster that had severely wounded Tu Jing had returned.

However, after employing his Detection Skill, he discovered that the approaching entities were neither Fallen Corpse Puppets nor any Boss.

At the centre of each phenomenon flew a Giant Dragon.

Furthermore, ahead of the anomalies, a Black Dragon led the way, and upon this Black Dragon sat a figure.

[The Dragon Tamer?] After Jin Zhan discerned the truth, understanding dawned upon him.

Yet simultaneously, his heart became shrouded with unease.

As a true expert, he could better perceive the terrifying nature of Lu Fan’s two Pet Dragons.

Despite being such large-scale Area of Effect Skills, their power remained utterly devastating.

If these were Single Target Skills, wouldn’t their Damage be even more outrageous!?

Even he, if surrounded by these Dragons’ Skills, would likely find himself in considerable distress, let alone engaging Lu Fan in direct combat.

Jin Zhan had originally been supremely confident in his abilities, but witnessing Lu Fan’s approach in such a manner, he was suddenly met with a realisation. The power gap between himself and this Dragon Tamer was ridiculously vast…

When this thought first emerged, Jin Zhan startled himself.

He subsequently consoled himself. [Why am I belittling myself!?]

He was a Level 131 Fifth Profession Player! Apart from his Grandfather, Elder Jin, who could possibly be his match!?

Just as Jin Zhan entertained these thoughts, attempting to restore some confidence in himself, Lu Fan had already arrived with Bao Bao and Xing Chen, passing directly over the Extreme Demon Yeti that was attacking the outpost.

In that instant, the Extreme Demon Yeti became enveloped within Bao Bao’s lightning.

Bao Bao did not even need to deliberately unleash any specific Skill. The lightning surrounding him erupted upon the Extreme Demon Yeti, directly killing it on the spot.
