Wizard starting from shoeing donkeys

Chapter 285: 170

Rein pushed hard, driving Salem’s longsword aside and said,

“A fine secret technique, Lord Salem, please continue!”

By then, Salem, who had consecutively unleashed ’Limit Break’, his Transcendent traits of swiftness, and the ultimate move ’Phantom Strike,’ was now covered in sweat, nearly exhausted.

He had intended this strike to secure the victory, but unexpectedly, it was foiled by Rein in a way he had never anticipated.

“Hmm?”

Upon hearing Rein’s words, Salem couldn’t help but blush, and thus, gathering his last bit of strength, he resumed the fight.

But this time, Salem was even more overwrought, and in less than ten seconds, his steps became utterly disordered due to excessive fatigue.

This made Rein shake his head slightly.

The ’Experience NPC’ before him had tried his best, it was time to end it!

However, out of respect for Salem’s ’effort,’ Rein decided to finish the fight with ’Earth-splitting Hammer.’

Suddenly, Rein’s body expanded further, exceeding six feet seven inches, his chromium knight’s suit hanging on his body like baby clothes, depicting Rein in a ’Strength Burst,’ turned into a ’Triple Stack’ state!

That moment made Evelyn’s pupils shrink!

Right!

This was the form!

This was the form in which Rein had beaten the ’Sunken Vessel’ that night!

“Rein, don’t go too hard!” Evelyn called out from the side.

She intended to rush forward to rescue, but it was already too late!

Viscount Norman, located on the second floor of the manor, also showed a drastic change in expression, but at that moment he was too far from the training ground, even if he wanted to rescue, he was helpless!

Thus, under the horrified gazes of all, they saw the beast-like Rein, swinging the pitch-black two-handed hammer in his hands, from top to bottom, with a screech tearing through the air, thundering down on Salem!

Salem closed his eyes, thinking it was over!

“Boom!”

But the next second, Rein slightly tilted the hammer, striking it heavily into the ground in front of Salem.

The ground within a radius of seven to eight meters was engulfed in flying dust, and seconds later, as the dust settled, a crater resembling one created by a meteorite appeared in the center of the training ground, with the deepest part reaching over a meter and a fan-shaped area extending forward with shock.

It wasn’t until four to five meters out that the ground leveled out without significant unevenness.

The once high-spirited Earl’s younger son, Salem, was then hurled high into the air and spat out a mouthful of blood.

This was still because Rein had deliberately avoided hitting him directly, targeting the ground beneath his feet instead.

“Thud!”

Salem fell heavily to the ground but quickly struggled to his feet, his face showing a mix of fright and relief.

At that moment, he truly smelled the scent of death!

If Rein’s hammer had moved just a half meter further forward, he would have been doomed!

Being struck by Rein’s pitch-black hammer would most likely mean no option for broken bones, mostly just a return to the goddess’s embrace.

At that point, the observing noble youths finally reacted, rushing forward to help Salem up and quickly checking for injuries.

However, they soon found that there were no obvious injuries on Salem’s body, indicating that the spitting of blood was only due to the aftermath of the shock.

Though the injury was not light, it was ultimately not serious.

Moreover, the second generation of nobles had sharp eyes, and they certainly saw that Rein had held back, not directing that last strike at Salem.

So, their eyes were filled with awe and admiration as they looked at Rein at that moment.

That female knight then finally closed her gaping mouth and said to Evelyn beside her, “Evelyn, I take back what I said earlier…. this solid training ground was turned into this by Rein, he truly is not a normal person.”

Right then, Evelyn too was staring blankly at the ground of her own training ground!

If she had not been able to empathize when Rein shattered the thick hull of the ’Sunken Vessel’ before, since she had never struck a ship’s hull,

But she knew just how hard the ground of her family’s training ground was, she had been training there since she was little.

The repeatedly compacted soil there was almost as hard as ordinary rock.

Yet it was turned into such a state by one strike from Rein!

Meanwhile, at Rein’s side, the system prompt had appeared:

[Your skill, Tokkal Hammer Technique, has improved, Experience +178]

[You have been through a battle, Transcendent Knight Experience +69]

…

Through this spar with Salem, Rein had successfully advanced his Tokkal Hammer Technique from lv4 (843/1000) to lv5 (21/2000).

Right now, Rein was absorbing the fragmented Tokkal Hammer Technique training memories that had newly emerged in his mind.

These memory fragments, each a separate snippet of hammer training, seemed as though Rein had personally experienced the training times, and now, he was quickly absorbing and integrating them into his muscle memory.

Soon, Rein felt as if he had suddenly gained an additional two years of grueling Tokkal Hammer Technique practice.

And some details of the hammer technique that he had previously overlooked were now gradually becoming clear in his mind.

At this moment, Salem, supported by others and walking over, looked at Rein earnestly and said, “Thank you, Lord Rein, for holding back!”
