Wizard: Grinding from Knight to Primogenitor

Chapter 31: Chapter 31: Sea of Life

Medel’s intuition was spot on!

The moment Jeremy abandoned his horse to dodge the Fighting Qi Slash, Roy’s legs exploded with power, and he shot toward Jeremy like an arrow loosed from a bow.

SHHIIING!

The Fighting Qi Slash sliced across the Warhorse’s neck, lopping off its head.

Blood spurted from the wound on the Warhorse’s neck, and its headless body continued forward for some distance due to inertia.

At the same time, Roy, who was rocketing toward Jeremy, brushed past the headless Warhorse and appeared before him.

Without any hesitation, Roy thrust the Fine Steel Cross Sword in his hand forward like a bolt of lightning.

Still in mid-air, Jeremy had no way to shift his momentum and could only watch helplessly as the tip of the Fine Steel Cross Sword shot toward him.

SQUELCH!

The Fine Steel Cross Sword, wreathed in White Fighting Qi, pierced through Jeremy’s armor as easily as breaking through fragile window paper. It entered the very center of his chest and exited through his back.

Roy hadn’t aimed for Jeremy’s throat or heart. He was leaving him alive so Catherine could take revenge for her mother’s death with her own hands.

Jeremy had released his Rock Lion Fighting Qi to cover his chest, but it was completely unable to block Roy’s attack.

The moment the Fine Steel Cross Sword pierced his chest, Jeremy felt an unprecedented, agonizing pain.

But as excruciating as it was, the pain wasn’t what concerned him most.

Far more unacceptable than the pain was the collapse of his Rock Lion Seed.

Regardless of the Breathing Technique one practices, the Life Seed they condense will always be located in the Sea of Life, right in the center of the chest.

To put it plainly, the Sea of Life for an Official Knight is much like the Dantian for a Martial Artist.

Moreover, the Sea of Life was located in the exact same position as the Middle Dantian.

The Fine Steel Cross Sword, wreathed in White Fighting Qi, had not only pierced Jeremy’s chest but had also destroyed his Sea of Life and his Rock Lion Seed.

In other words, with that single strike, Roy had turned Jeremy from a High Tier Knight into a cripple.

Even if he survived, with his Sea of Life destroyed, he would never be able to practice a Breathing Technique again.

His Sea of Life, destroyed!

His Rock Lion Seed, shattered!

When he saw the Rock Lion Fighting Qi on Jeremy’s body vanish without a trace, Medel’s expression turned as grim as it could possibly be.

As he watched, Roy lifted his right foot and kicked Jeremy in the abdomen, sending him flying.

At the same time, he smoothly pulled the Fine Steel Cross Sword from Jeremy’s chest and, with a casual flick, shook off the blood from the blade.

THUD!

After flying back several meters, Jeremy slammed heavily onto the street.

Before he could get up, Medel rushed to his side and helped him up.

Jeremy gritted his teeth against the pain in his chest and tried to summon his Rock Lion Fighting Qi again.

But no matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t feel its presence, let alone summon it.

’It’s gone!’

’It’s really gone!’

’The Rock Lion Seed is gone!’

Jeremy’s expression instantly became savage. He looked up at Roy, his face contorted with killing intent, and roared:

”Kill him!”

”Kill him for me!”

”I’ll grind him into paste and feed him to the dogs!”

Medel could understand why Jeremy was so hysterical. If his own Sea of Life and Life Seed had been destroyed, he wouldn’t be calm either.

But understanding was one thing.

Forget about killing Roy; he wasn’t even confident he could get himself and Jeremy out of there alive.

A few seconds later, the High Tier Knight, Kael, arrived beside him and Jeremy.

Without hesitation, Medel said to Kael, ”Get Young Master Jeremy out of here now! I’ll hold off the Dark Night Knight.”

Knight Kael nodded immediately and took hold of Jeremy.

Just then, Roy’s voice rang out.

”There’s no need for that. You’re all going to die here tonight.”

The moment he finished speaking, he shot toward Medel.

In the blink of an eye, he was in front of Medel, his Fine Steel Cross Sword swinging out like lightning.

Medel was not as strong as Roy.

But he was, after all, a Peak Knight.

CLANG CLANG CLANG CLANG CLANG...

The Cross Swords, one wreathed in White Fighting Qi and the other in black, clashed repeatedly, emitting crisp, metallic ringing sounds.

The Black Wolf Breathing Technique that Medel practiced, much like the Wesley Clan’s Ice Wolf Breathing Technique, was a Speed Type, common Breathing Technique.

The only difference was that the Black Wolf Breathing Technique was a Universal Breathing Technique, while the Ice Wolf Breathing Technique was a Bloodline Breathing Technique.

Seeing Medel holding off Roy’s attacks, Jeremy turned to Kael and said immediately, ”Go help Medel take down the Dark Night Knight.”

Before Kael could answer, Jeremy gave him a hard shove, pushing him toward Medel.

Kael was about to say something, but the battle between Roy and Medel was already decided.

Although Medel was also a Peak Knight, his strength was still far too weak compared to Roy’s.

Lasting more than ten seconds against Roy was already his limit.

SHHIIING!

The Fine Steel Cross Sword, wreathed in White Fighting Qi, sliced across Medel’s neck, beheading him in a single strike!

Medel’s head flew high into the air, trailing blood. The Black Wolf Fighting Qi surrounding his body vanished instantly, and his headless corpse toppled backward uncontrollably.

Roy ignored Medel’s corpse and immediately lunged toward the High Tier Knight, Kael.

Seeing Roy charge at him, Kael hastily grabbed the hilt of his sword.

Roy didn’t give Kael the chance to draw his blade.

Kael’s right hand had just closed around the hilt when the Fine Steel Cross Sword in Roy’s hand pierced his heart.

’Done!’

Roy pulled out the Fine Steel Cross Sword, flicked the blood from the blade, sheathed it, and walked toward Jeremy.

Soon, he was standing before Jeremy.

Perhaps unable to accept the fact that Medel and Kael had been killed, or maybe just scared senseless, Jeremy stood frozen in place.

He didn’t curse, nor did he try to run.

It wasn’t until Roy was right in front of him that uncontrollable fear finally appeared on his face.

Roy wasted no time with words. He grabbed him by the neck and lifted him with one hand.

”You’re lucky. You don’t have to die by my hand.”

”Otherwise, based on the things you’ve done, I would have definitely made you suffer.”

Before Jeremy could answer, Roy glanced at Catherine, who was still on the rooftop, and left Rose Street with Jeremy in tow.

Catherine followed immediately, without any hesitation.

「West District.」

A slum near the execution grounds.

After arriving in the slum, Roy found a random, dilapidated, unoccupied house and tossed Jeremy into the living room like a piece of trash.

Then, he turned to Catherine and said, ”There are people living nearby, but don’t worry about them coming over to watch the show.”

”No matter how miserably he screams, no one will come.”

”Whether you kill him directly or kill him after you’ve had your fun torturing him, that’s up to you.”

”He’s all yours. I’ll be waiting outside.”

With that, Roy left the living room and went to the open space in front of the main door.

After watching Roy leave, Catherine’s gaze finally fell upon Jeremy.

Jeremy’s face was now full of terror, all traces of his former arrogance gone.

After sizing Jeremy up for a few seconds, Catherine removed her mask. She looked at him calmly and said slowly, ”Do you have any last words?”
