Chapter 2025: Chapter 2026: Misty Goldlady

Although it’s hard to observe a bee’s expression, Blair, being an intelligent bee, has a gaze, emotions it emits, and some subtle actions that allow Angel to vaguely sense its mood.

From this series of conversations, Angel can roughly deduce that Blair seems to deeply admire Shava, but in fact, it has never interacted with Shava.

This is actually quite similar to some other Nightmare Realm creatures Angel has encountered in the past. Angel still doesn’t know what kind of being Shava really is. The only thing certain is that Shava is a high-ranking being who rarely interacts with other Nightmare Realm creatures.

It is precisely because of this that Angel dares to ask directly, ”Do I know you?”

Through Blair’s answer, Angel can prepare himself for his next steps.

If Blair were to say it is very familiar with Shava, or has had deep interactions with her, Angel would immediately use conversation tactics to get rid of Blair, to avoid exposing his disguise.

But if Blair said it is not familiar, Angel could use Shava’s identity to extract information from Blair.

And Blair’s answer left Angel very satisfied.

Being aware of Shava’s noble status but having never been in close contact with Shava. In such a case, whether Angel is playing Shava or asking questions, he can fully express himself.

However, even with such freedom, Angel dares not completely break character. After all, from his few brief contacts with Shava, he always felt that Shava should be a cold person. If he wants to play Shava, his character should definitely revolve around aloofness.

”Blair, is it?” Angel’s gaze lightly shifted to its waist, where the seed bag was trembling slightly, indicating that the mycelium inside was likely very active.

Blair appears to answer honestly, ”I’m planting mist vines. Misty Goldlady said this land near Pink Princess is suitable for planting mist vines; it can replace the role of the Phantom Performance.”

Angel nodded on the surface, but his mind was filled with questions.

Blair’s words contained a lot of information: what Pink Princess, Misty Goldlady, and what exactly is Phantom Performance?

Analyzing from Blair’s words, Pink Princess probably refers to something near the land? Something pink? Perhaps a stream?

Phantom Performance, which can be replaced by mist vines. Mist vines are guessed to be mushrooms, so Phantom Performance is probably also some kind of mushroom.

As for Misty Goldlady, it sounds like some kind of creature, perhaps Blair’s superior?

”Misty Goldlady?” Angel softly, with a hint of doubt, uttered this name, because he did not actively inquire about the name’s background, so regardless of Blair’s answer, Angel could come up with an explanation.

As for Phantom Performance and Pink Princess, they seem to be determined entities, and Angel, although curious, is not in a position to ask given his assumed identity.

Blair, unaware of Angel’s thoughts, assumed that Lord Shava was inquiring about who Misty Goldlady is, thus explained in detail, ”Misty Goldlady is the mistress of the Duling Garden, under the command of Lord Nuka.”

Angel sensed from Blair’s emotions that it held reverence for Misty Goldlady, as after all, it is just a farmer and Misty Goldlady is the garden mistress; as for ”Lord Nuka,” Blair mentioned it with some trembling and even with fear, more so than towards Misty Goldlady.

Moreover, Angel is not unfamiliar with the name Nuka.

Before Old Pat passed away, Pat Manor had a very skilled fruit farmer named Nuka. The grapes planted next to Jon’s stilt house were originally planted by Nuka and Jon together.

Upon hearing this familiar name, Angel was momentarily dazed. But having encountered too many similar names before, he quickly calmed his mind and began pondering the identity of this Nuka.

There is no doubt that Nuka’s identity is definitely not simple. If he is a person with a significant background, Angel certainly shouldn’t inquire too much about Nuka now. Because with Shava’s assumed identity, she ought to know Nuka’s background.

Angel pondered in his heart, considering how he might indirectly inquire about Nuka’s origins given his assumed identity as Shava.

After thinking for a while, Angel suddenly paused: why does he need to ask about Nuka? His most important task now is to leave the ruins; everything else can be put aside for now.

Thinking of this, Angel immediately reined in his wandering thoughts: ”Do you know where the exit to the Duling Garden is?”

Blair’s black eyes had a hint of dimness. When hearing Lord Shava’s words, it seemed she intended to leave? Clearly it took great effort just to admire Lord Shava’s presence...

Although Blair’s eyes were full of reluctance, it still said, ”If Lord Shava doesn’t take the Void Passage and wants to go to Xinnai Land, the Duling Garden has only one exit leading there, through the chimney on Misty Goldlady’s house roof.”

Angel’s mind once again flooded with questions. What is Xinnai Land? What does Misty Goldlady’s chimney mean?

”Hmm.” Angel, though puzzled, showed none of it: ”Where is Misty Goldlady’s house?”

Blair picked up the hoe and pointed in a certain direction: ”Keep going straight, and you’ll see Misty Goldlady’s place. It’s very large, the only castle in the Duling Garden.”

Angel looked in the direction Blair pointed, coincidentally the direction he had been heading all along.

From this perspective, the person who initially embraced him and brought him here was perhaps Misty Goldlady?

Though still uncertain, it’s highly likely. After all, in the vast Duling Garden, the only one who dared to act against ”Shava” was probably the mistress of the Duling Garden.

But why did Misty Goldlady bring her here and then leave? What was the purpose of bringing her here?

Angel had many questions swirling in his mind. He glanced at Blair, who was still looking at him with its two black, earnest eyes... Should he ask it?

Would asking reveal his disguise? After all, he wasn’t the real Shava.

Angel hesitated for a moment but decided to ask. In any case, Blair and Shava were not familiar, and with some bluffing, it might work... right?

Facing Angel’s inquiry, Blair also displayed a surprised emotion: ”So it was Misty Goldlady who brought Your Grace to the Duling Garden? No wonder I saw Misty Goldlady suddenly leave the Duling Garden earlier...”

”Do you know why she sought me out?” Angel asked.

Blair scratched at the antenna atop its pot-like head with its forelimb: ”I rarely see Misty Goldlady, and she seldom leaves the castle, so I don’t know why she sought Your Grace.”

”Then how do you receive her orders?”

”It’s conveyed by the butler of the castle.”

Angel asked a few more questions, Blair basically answered all truthfully, seeming very honest. But Angel knew very well that this honesty was only because of its position being far inferior to Shava’s; it dared not be anything but honest.

If it were someone else, it would definitely not be this straightforward.

Angel glanced at Blair’s hoe; it was no ordinary object, and even he couldn’t quite see through it, with a slight smell of blood lingering. Clearly, Blair was not as simple and harmless as it seemed.
