Chapter 1954: Chapter 1955: A Perfect Performance

Maya then spoke of several future fragments she had seen, and the one that caught everyone’s attention was the prophecy concerning ”Thorn of Tyranny” Madeline.

When Maya used illusions to depict the fragments she had seen.

Angel immediately said, ”I’ve seen the girl who kills Madeline in these future fragments.”

Angel did not hide the truth, because he had already mentioned the matter of Madeline when he returned from the Abyss: ”This person is Dong La.”

Maya was initially stunned, then showed a look of realization.

The extinction of the Silian family, to which Madeline originally belonged, was rumored to be orchestrated by Dong La. However, Maya did not expect that the ”grafting lunatic” Dong La would not only wipe out the family but also pursue the last survivor of the Silian family.

”It’s not Dong La who is hunting Madeline; it’s Madeline who is hunting Dong La.” Angel clarified for Maya: ”Dong La was previously affected by the Calamity Curse, seemingly changed her body, became a little girl named Yisu, and her strength diminished. When I last met Madeline, she was tracking Dong La.”

Angel looked at the illusion created by Maya, which was frozen at the moment Dong La crushed Madeline’s head.

”It now seems that either Madeline found Dong La but did not kill her immediately and took her back to Thorn Ridge, where she was killed instead; or Madeline couldn’t find Dong La, Dong La’s strength gradually increased, and Dong La eventually returned to kill Madeline at Thorn Ridge.”

Tree Spirit then sighed, ”Madeline seems to have underestimated her opponent. Even if Dong La’s strength has decreased, her foundation is not something ordinary wizards can compare with. After all, she is still a member of the Research and Development Institute and will surely have some trump cards. It’s not easy to prosecute her... Moreover, Madeline never leaving Thorn Ridge makes her an obvious target for Dong La.”

”In any case, since we have seen this future, it’s best to notify Madeline as soon as possible,” Angel said.

Back when Angel went to the Abyss to find Sanders, Madeline took great care of him, and Angel did not want Madeline to die at Dong La’s hands.

Furthermore, Angel also had some friction with Dong La.

Tree Spirit nodded, ”I will handle this matter. The Abyss passage is gradually unsealing, and Wizard Duncan plans to lead a few teams to the Abyss. I will pass this message to him and ensure he informs Madeline.”

Maya: ”The future is not so easily changed. Notification alone might not disrupt the established future line. The best way is for Madeline to return to the Southern Domain immediately, changing it fundamentally.”

Tree Spirit pondered for a moment, ”Hmm, I understand... This is not difficult to arrange, but ultimately, it depends on Madeline herself. I’ll have Duncan take a piece of my leaf with him; I’ll convey the message that way.”

For a witcher organization, an Official Wizard is undoubtedly the backbone.

Although Madeline hasn’t been with the Barbarian Cave for long, as long as she remains a wizard of the Barbarian Cave, she cannot be abandoned.

After dealing with Madeline’s matter, the other prophecies Maya saw lacked highlights.

She also mentioned seeing the new batch of Talented Ones on the steam airship, which didn’t elicit much reaction. Although Talented Ones are important, knowing about them in advance or later makes little difference.

However, Angel kept a mental note; he was recently short on manpower, and perhaps he could keep an eye on the Talented Ones.

After finishing her own prophecies, Maya recounted the prophecies of others at the gathering. What caught people’s attention were naturally the attack on Blissful Pure Land, Xelius Castle, Void Coordinates, and similar prophecies. However, these only concerned Rhein a little; others listened casually, as they were too far removed from their current lives to care deeply.

”Apart from the above prophecies, there was one prophecy that was the first voice at today’s gathering,” Maya said, pausing slightly at this point.

Everyone’s expression became more serious because they understood the significance of the first voice. A prophecy wouldn’t dare to be the first voice if it lacked weight.

This Stargazing Event should be no different; the first voice may not be the most important prophecy, but it’s certainly significant.

While everyone was waiting for Maya’s explanation, she turned to Dororo instead: ”You should talk about this matter.”

Maya stepped aside and pointed the Light Screen at Dororo.

This maneuver surprised Rhein and others on the other end. They all understood what this meant...

”The first voice is Dororo?” Tree Spirit’s tone was sharper than usual, showcasing his astonishment.

Maya nodded, and her previously solemn expression softened with a smile: ”I was initially worried Dororo couldn’t handle the first voice position, but he performed very well.”

Maya didn’t shower excessive praises, but ”performed very well” was praise enough, indicating that Dororo’s prophecy was indeed worthy of the ”first voice” position.

Rhein and Tree Spirit looked surprised, knowing Dororo’s talent but never expecting that even as an apprentice, Dororo would shine at the Stargazing Event.

They had always considered Dororo as a figurehead, not expecting him to become the communication focal point of this Stargazing Event.

With Dororo able to participate steadily in the Stargazing Event and even see meaningful prophecies, does it mean that the Barbarian Cave will have two Prophet Wizards capable of operating at the Stargazing Event soon?

Rhein’s mind raced; he knew too well, gaining another permanent position at the Stargazing Event would yield benefits beyond imagination!

However, Rhein did not reveal his mind, for everything depended on whether Dororo’s prophecy had value today. Still, Rhein looked at Dororo with noticeably more kindness.

Dororo stepped forward and without any superfluous words led the topic to the future fragments he saw.

When Dororo mentioned the term ”Peach Heart Theater,” Angel and Sanders didn’t react much, but Rhein and Tree Spirit’s expressions changed, especially Rhein, whose eyes noticeably shifted.

Angel could even see a glimmer in Rhein’s eyes.

Is it really the Peach Heart Theater? Rhein initially harbored doubts, but as Dororo continued, complemented by illusions of the Light Shadow Technique, Rhein became increasingly sure.

When Dororo finished, Tree Spirit confidently said, ”It is indeed the Peach Heart Theater.”

It was Angel’s first time hearing of the Peach Heart Theater, and he curiously asked, ”What exactly is the Peach Heart Theater?”

Tree Spirit didn’t answer immediately but looked at Maya, ”Among the Observers, someone should know about the Peach Heart Theater?”

Maya nodded and recounted Hastur’s little anecdote at the gathering.

”Hastur is right, the Peach Heart Theater is actually a manifestation of the will of a top-level transcendent life form, similar to the Thief of Time,” Tree Spirit said, ”These top-level transcendents manifest their will because they have their pursuits.”

”The Thief of Time seeks the choices of all beings.”

”The Peach Heart Theater desires a perfect performance.”
