Chapter 3111: Chapter 3112: Rainbow Sprite

The so-called appearance method refers to the conditions that must be met for special NPCs to manifest in front of others.

For instance, the Treasure Mermaid’s appearance condition is: Gathering Land.

As long as a civilized Gathering Land appears, the Treasure Mermaid will open a pool nearby, serving as the entrance and exit to the instance.

Rabbit Town conveniently meets this condition, hence the pool connecting Silver Coral Island appeared.

Previously, Angel only knew the appearance condition of the Treasure Mermaid, but now through further search of authority, he learned about the appearance conditions of the ”Rainbow Sprite.”

—Gathering Land and Rainbow.

Like the Treasure Mermaid, one of the prerequisite conditions for the Rainbow Sprite’s appearance is Gathering Land; in addition, there needs to be a rainbow across the sky above the Gathering Land.

To put it more vividly: in a town full of humans, a rainbow appears over the sky.

This is not difficult to achieve in reality, but in the current Crystal Origin of Dreams, it is a bit difficult.

The main reason is that the only Gathering Land on the Crystal Origin of Dreams is Rabbit Town, and Rabbit Town is located in an underground cavern. Trying to make a rainbow appear in an underground cavern is extremely difficult.

Of course, one can create a rainbow artificially, but an artificial rainbow will not trigger the Rainbow Sprite.

According to the information retrieved, the Rainbow Sprite’s appearance is most likely related to naturally occurring rainbows.

In short, to make the Rainbow Sprite appear, the next step must be to create a Gathering Land on the surface of Crystal Origin of Dreams, and then wait and see.

The Heavenly Phenomenon Replacement Power has now slowly taken root in Crystal Origin of Dreams, so to get a rainbow to appear, one only needs to wait.

Although Angel does not know what the ”Elf Forest” instance is like, he has heard of the Rainbow Sprite, a magical creature that, according to legend, can bring luck and beauty.

Plus, the name ”Elf Forest” already sounds dreamlike, giving people a sense of happiness full of resources.

From various details, Angel does not think the Elf Forest instance brought by the Rainbow Sprite will feature a frustrating mechanism like ”All-Realm Summons.”

Even if there is such a summons, one can treat it as ”immigration.”

From the barren Crystal Origin to a vibrant forest, isn’t that quite nice?

Therefore, his next plan is to bring the Rainbow Sprite into the world.

However, before considering how to make the Rainbow Sprite appear, he has one more thing to do: Luigi’s sea of questions needs updating.

Angel returned to the Heart Space, unsurprised to see Luigi, who had been waiting for a long time.

As soon as Luigi saw Angel, he eagerly approached him, activating the Illusionary Realm without needing Angel to inquire, then took a deep breath and walked onto the stage of the illusion.

He bowed to the only audience below the stage, Angel, then positioned himself with his harp.

Jon’s figure appeared, sitting at the piano; as the notes began, his fingertips danced across the black and white keys.

Luigi also lost himself in the rhythm of the music...

Once the piece was finished, Luigi opened his eyes, bowed to Angel again, completing the entire stage process.

Angel timely offered applause.

”Well done, I think Mentor Jon should be quite satisfied with your performance this time.” Angel said.

Although he has not yet given today’s assignment to Jon for review, from Angel’s own listening experience, Luigi’s response was flawless this time.

”I feel as if I’ve begun to find traces of Dawnlight in the music.” Luigi approached Angel, still reveling in post-music enjoyment, with his tone tinged with an exalted canticle: ”That trail of perceivable sensation fills my heart; before my eyes is a sunlit horizon...”

Angel silently gave Luigi a glance: ”Speak plainly.”

Luigi coughed twice, and spoke normally: ”I feel my inspiration and music are highly compatible now, and I want to attempt to challenge Uriel’s Choice.”

Angel questioningly replied: ”If you want to challenge it, go ahead.”

Neither Angel nor Jon prohibited Luigi from challenging. Moreover, the log-in device is in Luigi’s possession, and he can go online to challenge anytime.

So, Angel was puzzled why Luigi deliberately brought this up to him?

Luigi: ”Every performance needs a mental connection. Now I have the inspiration, all I’m missing is a bit of genuine heart.”

Angel said nothing but stared at Luigi, making the latter somewhat uneasy, eventually scratching his nose awkwardly and said: ”I mean, performing needs an audience.”

”...So, you want us to watch your performance?”

Luigi nodded vigorously: ”Yes, precisely that.”

Angel: ”But when you perform, you won’t see us. You can just imagine there’s a big crowd of audience outside...”

Luigi interrupted promptly: ”No, it’s different. As long as I know there’s an audience outside, I’ll have endless strength...Also, I feel very confident about succeeding this time, so I hope you can witness this historic moment!”

Historic moment? Angel inexplicably wanted to retort, but looking at Luigi’s eyes glowing brightly, he chose to remain silent.

He didn’t want to crush Luigi’s confidence. It’s clearly better to challenge with confidence than without.

Angel thought carefully, after all, Luigi is a Temporal Body of Laplace, information is shared among other Temporal Bodies, he can know if anyone is there to be the audience.

Moreover, since Luigi so strongly requested for them to be the audience, it wouldn’t hurt to go and watch.

Plus, Luigi himself expressed a strong premonition that today will be successful. Angel also wants to see what the high-bar challenge, ”Uriel’s Choice,” will be like subsequently?

With this in mind, Angel nodded: ”Alright, I’ll first go online and inform Laplace and the others.”

After a pause, Angel looked at Luigi again: ”By the way, aren’t you planning to continue the Sea of Questions tactic today?”

Luigi scratched his head: ”Yes, but I want to challenge Uriel’s Choice first before finding Mentor Jon myself.”

Through these days of the Sea of Questions tactic, coupled with Jon’s piano performance in the Illusion, Luigi has been deeply impressed by Jon’s profound musical knowledge.

He very much desires to meet Jon in person, to perform piano and harp harmonies before Jon, instead of having Angel as the middleman, running between both ends.

And to meet Jon, the only way is to complete Uriel’s Choice, then he can go to the Wilderness of Dreams after leaving the instance.

This is why he proposed to challenge the Fairyland Duplication before Angel went to find Jon. He is playing a small calculation, wanting to successfully clear the instance and perform in front of Jon himself.

Angel thought about it and felt that this was good. Luigi was Jon’s distant student, and they both had completed the illusion of seeing each other, yet they had never really seen each other in person.

If Jon could see Luigi in person, he would be very happy.

Angel gestured for Luigi to wait a moment as he logged in. He appeared again outside Tomorrow Town, but this didn’t prevent him from sending messages.

Using God’s View, Angel captured the positions of Laplace, Glaipnir, and the Rabbit Girl.

Laplace and Glaipnir were still on Silver Coral Island, while the Rabbit Girl was fighting with a group of monsters.

Angel thought for a moment and temporarily decided not to contact the Rabbit Girl to avoid disturbing her and instead connected with Laplace and Glaipnir.

Through his Authority over the Celestial Alternation, Angel created rhythmic wind sounds to transmit information.

After listening to Angel’s words, Laplace and Glaipnir frowned simultaneously, obviously unimpressed by Luigi’s request for an audience to watch him perform.

But finally, they nodded in agreement.

As Angel said, Luigi’s performance wasn’t important; they also wanted to see if the ”Uriel’s Choice” instance would undergo new changes today, and what exactly is Uriel’s ”Choice”?

Laplace and Glaipnir left Silver Coral Island, then went offline.

When they logged back in, Angel had already sent them to the double-story pavilion outside of the Uriel Dungeon.

Angel prepared to log off to inform Luigi, but before logging off, he glanced at the situation in the Tomorrow Town instance.

A moment later, Angel exited viewing.

During the half day he was offline, Tomorrow Town had ”reincarnated” six days. Although Miumiu’s memories kept losing, her mind space was becoming fuller.

The painting Miumiu used to record ”changes” was now able to extend to half a meter long.

Angel saw at least 60% of Tomorrow Town’s anomalies in that painting. At Miumiu’s current speed, it wouldn’t take long before she found all the discrepancies in Tomorrow Town.

Angel also eagerly anticipated that day’s arrival.

After logging off and explaining the situation to Luigi, they logged into the Crystal Origin of Dreams together.

Angel appeared beside Laplace and Glaipnir, while Luigi appeared in the Uriel Dungeon.

To avoid missing Luigi’s performance, Angel immediately live-streamed the situation inside the Uriel Dungeon through illusions upon logging in.

Laplace and Glaipnir weren’t watching a ”stream” for the first time, and they adeptly captured the ”streamer” Luigi’s image.

They could see clearly that, through the shabby double-story pavilion window, Uriel, a middle-aged man, played the piano with a conflicted expression.

However, outside the pavilion, Luigi only cradled his harp without making any move.

”Has the performance not started yet?” Glaipnir asked in confusion.

Angel was also unsure of the situation: ”Perhaps it’s not yet time for the harp sound to appear?”

Everyone silently waited for a minute; the piano sound slowly morphed into a torrential downpour, yet Luigi remained at ease without moving.

By this point, they roughly understood that Luigi probably abandoned this performance.

Angel was worried about disturbing Luigi earlier, so he didn’t converse with him. But now, seeing Luigi with no intent to perform, there was no need to worry. He directly communicated with Luigi through the Miniature Garden.

Luigi’s reply was as they expected: ”I’m abandoning this attempt for now to adjust my state... But don’t worry, I’ll definitely pass it. Although I didn’t move this time, I’ve devised a solution in my mind thanks to Mentor Jon and the Sea of Questions tactic!”

Since Luigi said so, the group didn’t disturb him further, allowing him to adjust his state.

While Luigi adjusted his state within the instance, the outside group chatted casually about their discoveries on Silver Coral Island.

Angel also took this opportunity to share the method he discovered for the ”Rainbow Sprite’s” appearance.

Glaipnir: ”Rainbow Sprite? I remember this was initially planned as a Temporal Body but was abandoned later because the memory had some issues.”

”Issues with memory? What do you mean?” Angel asked in confusion.

Glaipnir didn’t immediately respond but glanced at Laplace first; when she saw Laplace nod slightly, she began to explain: ”Rainbow Sprite is a spirit rumored to bring luck, its number is extremely scarce, even in the elf-dense Eastern Realm, it’s rare to see traces of Rainbow Sprites.”

”Eastern Realm? Is it the Eastern Realm of the Wizards’ Realm?” Angel was taken aback and asked.

Glaipnir nodded: ”That’s right.”

”So it really is the Eastern Realm of the Wizards’ Realm...”

The Wizards’ Realm consists of Eastern Realm, Southern Domain, Western Lands, and Northern Territory. Although they are all called Wizards’ Realm, they are separated by countless spatial and temporal distances.

Among these, Angel knew the least about the Eastern Realm.

He only knew that Ritual Studies had great influence there and that the Azure Bloodline Serum had origins from the Eastern Realm. All other Eastern Realm information was unknown.

Now he learned something new: the Eastern Realm is home to many elves.

Glaipnir continued: ”Because Rainbow Sprites are extremely rare in the Eastern Realm, it could be hundreds of years before a single one is born. Thus, when the original body discovered the memory image of a Rainbow Sprite in the Sea of Void Mirror, there was an intention to craft her into a quasi-Temporal Body as a backup for a Temporal Body.”

”Later, the quasi-Temporal Body was crafted, but based on its memory, the original body found a problem.”

”The Rainbow Sprite’s personality posed a problem.”

”She was too narcissistic...”

Narcissistic? Angel stroked his chin. This shouldn’t be much of a problem; he knew plenty of narcissists, such as Flora, Dox, Nis, White Bear... They’re all quite self-absorbed.

Moreover, isn’t Luigi, in the instance, also rather full of himself?

Perhaps seeing Angel’s unconcerned expression, Glaipnir sighed: ”If it were ordinary narcissism, it wouldn’t be an issue. Mainly, she believed herself to be the most beautiful life in the universe, with no other life surpassing her beauty.”

”Confident in her beauty, she even confronted a Legendary Witch... And thus died.”

”Yet even after death, crafted into a quasi-Temporal Body, she still retained narcissistic memory traits.”

”Therefore, the original body abandoned the idea of making her a Temporal Body and instead sealed her in the Forest of Memories.”

It was unexpected that this cognitively skewed Rainbow Sprite didn’t emerge in the Mirror Domain, but became an NPC at Crystal Origin of Dreams.
