Chapter 2281: Chapter 2282: Order

Regarding discussions about higher dimensions, since ultimately it’s just talking without action, it ends up being shelved.

After a while, the Spatial Tempest ahead started a new round of expansion and spread. Nami Midori watched the rapidly expanding Spatial Tempest, and softly said: ”Has the Spatial Tempest really not invaded Treasureland?”

Angel couldn’t be sure of the answer to this question.

But as time passed slowly, Angel’s heart increasingly leaned towards the thought that Treasureland was still intact. Because according to Wang Wang’s speed, even if it crossed the Spatial Tempest back and forth, it would be a matter of moments, yet until now it still hasn’t appeared, which actually explains a few things.

Perhaps, it might already be in Treasureland by now.

Of course, it could also be that it encountered danger and didn’t have time to retreat... However, Angel thinks the possibility is probably low, for the survivability of Void Travelers is extremely strong, and if something really happened, other Void Travelers nearby would surely sense something from the network, yet now these Void Travelers still show no change, indicating Wang Wang should be fine for now.

Time continued to move forward until five more minutes passed, Wang Wang finally appeared in their sight.

The first to notice Wang Wang was Angel, who had always kept the Energy Vision open, so he saw Wang Wang slowly emerging from the darkness first. But speaking purely in terms of energy fluctuations, Angel didn’t sense anything, Wang Wang’s return was as quiet as its departure.

Angel: ”What’s the result? Is there an untouched land inside the Spatial Tempest?”

Angel’s query also made Nami Midori notice Wang Wang’s return; its vertical pupils sparkled with curiosity.

Yet Wang Wang didn’t reply immediately, instead, it pondered for a moment before saying: ”Your judgment is correct, the Spatial Tempest here is circular, and there is indeed an empty space within.”

Wang Wang’s words made Angel’s eyes brighten: ”How far is the untouched land from the Spatial Tempest’s periphery? Can you take me inside?”

Wang Wang: ”The distance is not far, I should be able to take you inside.”

When saying this, a look of hesitation suddenly flashed in Wang Wang’s eyes.

Angel also noticed Wang Wang’s anomaly and asked: ”It seems like you have more to say? You stayed in the Spatial Tempest for quite some time, did you discover something?”

Wang Wang thought for a while before continuing: ”After traversing the Void and reaching the interior, I found a presence... that fills me with fear.”

”Liani Whale?” Angel subconsciously thought of the Void Traveler’s archenemy.

Wang Wang shook its head vigorously like a drum: ”It’s not that kind of fear, but a...”

Wang Wang struggled for a long time to find the words but couldn’t find the right description: ”I don’t know how to describe it, upon entering, I was intimidated by that terrifying aura and didn’t dare to move for quite a while.”

A realization flashed in Angel’s eyes; he initially thought Wang Wang was exploring Treasureland, hence it didn’t return promptly; now he understands Wang Wang was frightened upon entering and couldn’t move.

”How did you eventually get out?” Nami Midori also received the information fluctuation Wang Wang released, and after hearing its story, couldn’t help but ask curiously.

Wang Wang: ”After staying there for quite some time, I realized although the aura was terrifying, it didn’t suppress my abilities, so I hurried back.”

Pausing for a moment, Wang Wang looked at Angel: ”Although that aura didn’t attack me, it’s extremely terrifying. I can send you inside, but are you sure you want to enter?”

If it was before, Wang Wang wouldn’t care about a human’s life or death, but Angel is related to the Dalmatian’s command, if Angel gets in trouble, the network connection with the Dalmatian can’t be established, Wang Wang definitely wouldn’t escape the blame. So, after pondering, it chose to reveal the truth to Angel, cautioning him.

After Angel listened, he didn’t immediately respond but turned to look at Nami Midori: ”What do you think, Nami Midori?”

Nami Midori: ”I don’t know what the aura Wang Wang is referring to, but at least four hundred years ago, when the Spatial Tempest had not appeared, there was nothing wrong with the Treasureland.”

Although Nami Midori hadn’t opened the treasure, it had still been near it, and the situation was normal at that time.

Angel: ”So, the aura appeared later? Could it be that a powerful Magical Creature has entered?”

Nami Midori hesitated for a moment: ”I have guarded here for years and never sensed a powerful Magical Creature’s fluctuations, the Floating Flowers haven’t reacted either... probably not?”

Previously, Nami Midori was certain, but after hearing Wang Wang’s account, it became somewhat hesitant; there’s no need for Wang Wang to lie about this.

This caused Angel to fall into deep thought.

Although Nami Midori’s answers weren’t definitive, Angel still trusts its judgment more, and Wang Wang doesn’t need to lie.

If eliminating the external cause of Magical Creatures, then why does Treasureland harbor a terrifying aura?

Or perhaps, Feng had originally hidden something in the treasure that emits such an aura?

Since nobody knows what Feng’s treasure is, this remains a question mark.

Angel pondered for a long time, eventually he raised his head and said to Wang Wang: ”I’ve decided to go and take a look.”

Wang Wang: ”Are you certain?”

Angel nodded solemnly, his decision wasn’t based purely on impulse. He had thought it through carefully, since Treasureland hadn’t been invaded by the Spatial Tempest; and the solution to the Spatial Tempest—the presence of Wang Wang—happened to appear; coupled with Wang Wang confirming it could transport Angel across the exact distance from the Spatial Tempest’s periphery to Treasureland.

Coincidentally, Angel had doubts, coincidentally Wang Wang arrived, and coincidentally Wang Wang could transport him to Treasureland.

These three coincidences appeared simultaneously, intricately interwoven.

This obviously cannot be a real coincidence, but certainly within Feng’s arrangement.

Although subjectively, Wang Wang surely doesn’t know of the existence of a ”setup,” it becomes a passive role due to the fate Chapters written in the Book of Kael.

Since everything is within the setup’s design, Angel speculates, the terrifying aura in Treasureland is likely another part of the setup.

And Feng arranged such a grand scheme, considering all aspects, even pinning Nami Midori’s promotion hopes on Angel, so it’s surely not a dead-end setup in the end.

Since it’s not a dead-end, Angel is still willing to give it a try.

Seeing Angel had made up his mind, Wang Wang no longer said much: ”Okay, when the Spatial Tempest shrinks to its tightest, I’ll take you to traverse into the empty space.”

The transport distance Wang Wang can cover is but a hundred miles or so. To avoid issues, even saving a few miles of journey can be crucial sometimes. So, waiting until the Spatial Tempest retreats to its smallest before taking Angel across is the best strategy.

On the other side, Nami Midori didn’t comment much on Angel’s choice, it wasn’t foolish, whatever Angel could think of, it could also associate.

However, even though everything is deemed as arranged by the fate Chapters, caution is still necessary where it is warranted.

”When entering, choose the moment when the Spatial Tempest is at its smallest retreat, and do the same when coming out. I have the rise and fall patterns of the Spatial Tempest here, you might want to take a look to avoid any issues when leaving.” Nami Midori gently flicked her tail, and a green leaf flew in front of Angel.

The green leaf hovered in front of Angel, presenting a plethora of information directly. It was Nami Midori’s organized pattern of the ebb and flow of the Spatial Tempest from the coming hours to the next few days.

Wang Wang: ”There’s actually no need to remember it; I naturally know the timing to leave.”

Angel understood what Wang Wang meant; even in the Treasure Land, it could contact its kin through the network and have other Void Travelers monitor the fluctuations of the Spatial Tempest, so it didn’t see the point in remembering a static pattern.

However, Angel knew this but still memorized it seriously just in case.

As the time approached the early morning hours, the Spatial Tempest began to contract rapidly.

At this moment, Wang Wang signaled to Angel that it was time to go.

Angel nodded to Wang Wang and followed its pace towards the direction of the Spatial Tempest.

As Angel got closer and closer to the Spatial Tempest, he felt somewhat apprehensive. It was his first time getting so close to it. From a distance, it didn’t seem like much, but up close, it was immensely awe-inspiring.

Such a space collapse could desolate things to the point of destruction, yet outwardly it wasn’t as chaotic as one might imagine. To Angel, it even appeared very orderly.

It was as if countless lines emitting dark light appeared before his eyes, slicing the space into countless cubes. These cubes emerged one by one and then continuously collapsed.

Not chaotic, nor entangled.

It seemed to follow some ancient and elegant rule, gathering sand to build a tower, only for the tower to shatter and the sand to scatter.

Moreover, the contraction of the Spatial Tempest revealed even more magical scenes: the interior of the Spatial Tempest continued collapsing; yet the space left after its retreat quickly reconstructed according to the Laws of the Void.

One side was destruction, the other rebirth.

Regardless of which, both carried orderly and rhythmic fluctuations. This peculiar scene fascinated Angel.

Until Wang Wang sent him the message that ”the contraction of the Spatial Tempest is nearing its limit,” Angel snapped back to reality.

However, once he returned to his senses, Angel felt something strange. Deep inside his Spirit Sea, for some reason, there was a peculiar undulation.

This undulation seemed to resonate with the ’destruction and rebirth’ exhibited by the Spatial Tempest before him.

Yet, when Angel tried to trace the source of this peculiar undulation, it vanished without a trace, as if it had never existed.

What was happening?

A strange undulation deep in his Spirit Sea... Could it be some sort of Spirit Light insight?

Angel didn’t know what it was, only assuming it was some kind of inspiration from observing the Spatial Tempest up close. Since he couldn’t find it, he let it go.

Besides, there was a more pressing matter at hand: they were nearing the extreme limit of the Spatial Tempest’s contraction.

”Prepare to traverse,” Wang Wang said.

Although the Spatial Tempest hadn’t completely reached its contraction limit, they were at most a hundred meters from the extreme limit. According to Wang Wang’s own estimation, the distance from here to the hollow inner space was sufficient, making extreme maneuvering unnecessary.

Angel naturally had no objection: ”What should I do?”

Wang Wang: ”Just stay still. When I take you through, don’t think about anything, because there... never mind, even if you think, it won’t help. There, all your senses will be sealed, and your thoughts won’t be able to function.”

Before Angel could understand what Wang Wang meant, he felt a wave-like ripple covering his entire body.

The next moment, Angel felt himself beginning to ’ascend.’

This ascent wasn’t in the spatial sense but a conceptual elevation.

During this ascension, he seemed to transcend from the Material Realm to a certain Strange World.

And during this transcendence, Angel felt his emotional module starting to vanish, transforming from a being with emotions to a detached, formless existence.

This feeling... was actually familiar to Angel.

Back then, the Eye of the Sky, after continuously obstructing two dimension fusions, absorbed enough Mysterious Energy and eventually took Angel to a Strange World.

In that Strange World, Angel completely lost his emotional module, like a purely rational machine, and there he arrived at the weaving Laws of the Gate of Void.

And during the journey to the Strange World at that time, there was a detachment of the emotional module, which felt exactly like this moment.

If that Strange World Angel visited was indeed a high-dimensional space, then Wang Wang’s Void traversal, which Angel and Nami Midori speculated might involve high-dimensional space, was true.

However, previously, Wang Wang mentioned that during its traversal, Angel’s senses and thoughts would be sealed. This was different from the Strange World Angel had visited; there, aside from the absence of the emotional module, everything else was normal.

Could it be that the layer-world Wang Wang traversed had discrepancies compared to the Strange World Angel had been to?

While Angel pondered this, he noticed the feeling of ’ascension’ suddenly disappeared.

As the ascending sensation vanished, Angel found his vision becoming clear. Upon focusing, he noticed a semi-transparent water membrane enveloping him.

This water membrane looked quite familiar. Angel mused: It kind of looks like Wang Wang’s skin?

As Angel thought this, a thought seem to flash across his mind, and he slightly raised his head for a look.

And then he fell silent.

It wasn’t just like Wang Wang’s skin; this was Wang Wang’s skin... and the reason he felt surrounded by the water membrane was because he was now inside Wang Wang’s body.

Angel raised his head and could even glimpse the back of Wang Wang’s small eyes from inside.

”So, I’ve been swallowed by Wang Wang?”

As Angel thought this, Wang Wang suddenly accelerated, dashing forward.
