Warlock Apprentice

Angel didn’t know that he was being thought of by the people of the Profound Alchemy Association, and even if he knew, he probably wouldn’t care.

After retrieving the Scouting Puppet left at the Fangling Hall, he returned to the laboratory in the manor. Although he had completed the customization for Xiliu and Onassis, the Magician-exclusive item promised to Sharley was only half finished, previously interrupted halfway because of Nausicaa.

Now, Angel was preparing to first refine Sharley’s item.

Since it was already half finished and he had a preliminary plan, the refining process was swift.

On the third day after entering the lab, Angel came out.

As soon as he came out, he received a voice transmission from Greya.

”Was that an Alchemy Omen just now?” Not long ago, the weather outside suddenly began to change, with cycles of wind, thunder, rain, and lightning, accompanied by a strange laugh echoing in her ears. At first, Greya didn’t realize what was happening until she found that the source of all the changes came from Angel’s lab, then she enlightened.

It must be an Alchemy Omen!

The Alchemy Omen couldn’t be hidden, Angel nodded directly to admit it. The item he refined for Sharley also reached Intermediate Rank. When the finished product appeared, the Alchemy Omen naturally wouldn’t be absent.

Back when Angel was an Apprentice, experiencing such an omen felt very difficult, and carelessness could result in forever being stuck in the Anomaly Space. However, now that he was an Official Wizard, it was slightly better, although there were still many dangerous places in the Anomaly Space, overall it was within his capability range.

However, this was only a low-intermediate level work; if it were a high-level work’s Anomaly Space, it would be very difficult for Angel to safely pass through.

After getting Angel’s confirmation, Greya murmured: ”Thankfully I reacted quickly, put a shield on Sharley and Destiny’s Boiling Tune, otherwise, if we were disturbed, it would be over. It is a key moment now.”

”Key... moment?” Angel asked doubtfully: ”Why say it’s a key moment?”

Greya: ”A few days ago, while you were still in the lab, after Toby woke up one time, it was very excited and said it seemed to have found the key to conquer Extreme Resentment Thoughts. I asked it for details, but it didn’t say, yet it has been testing repeatedly for the past few days, it hasn’t rested for a long time... well, if sleeping counts as rest, then it’s been resting, it’s just that its mind hasn’t stopped.”

Greya: ”Anyway, according to Toby’s estimation, in the next few times, it might have a chance to conquer Extreme Resentment Thoughts.”

So, now is precisely the critical moment, Greya was in a state where everything seemed suspicious, and the Alchemy Omen gave her a big scare just now.

”Toby already found a method to conquer Extreme Resentment Thoughts?” Angel’s eyes brightened, he originally intended to go back to his room to rest for a bit but decided against it, directly striding quickly to the manor.

In the manor, Sharley was still diligently focusing on Toby’s situation within the Magical Energy Array, Asaz was sitting on one side, taking notes, and as for Greya... she was playing with a small box in her hand.

”Is this what you mean by ’everything seems suspicious’?” Angel looked at the box in Greya’s hand with puzzlement. Judging by the patterns on it, it should probably be his refined theatrical Shadow Box, featuring a magically altered fairy tale ’Princess Who Killed The Dragon.’

Greya: ”Of course, vigilance is in the heart, there’s no need to show it. Watching the play is just to relax my eyes.”

”The princess killed the dragon, dismembered it, and refined it into a Magic Potion, then transformed into a new dragon to ambush The Brave coming to rescue her. Are you sure this story can relax your eyes?” Angel highly doubted.

”Of course.” Greya nodded confidently: ”The only thing that tires my eyes is the princess’s rough method of cooking the dragon’s entrails, your meticulousness in Illusionary Realm details needs improvement.”

Angel: ”...The princess isn’t a chef.”

”But I am.” Greya started to rant, the refiner should consider the needs of the audience.

Angel listened and veins subtly throbbed on his forehead, but fortunately at this time, Asaz handed over the Handbook recording Toby’s situation, which slightly calmed Angel down.

Angel immersed himself in the Handbook, Toby, within just two weeks, went through the House of the Heart experience 80 times without succeeding once.

However, Asaz recorded Toby’s emotional curve and the Time Curve facing Extreme Resentment Thoughts.

Almost everything was improving, Toby could now face Extreme Resentment Thoughts for over ten minutes. Especially from the 70th to 80th times, the duration almost greatly improved each time. Presumably, when Toby claimed to have found a way to conquer Extreme Resentment Thoughts, it was from the 70th time.

By the 80th time, it even reached half an hour.

Being able to face Extreme Resentment Thoughts for more than half an hour actually shows Toby’s progress.

Maybe as Toby said, conquering the Extreme Resentment Thoughts is within these few times.

”What’s Toby’s current situation?” Angel asked.

Asaz: ”Judging by past experiences and the operation level of Destiny’s Boiling Tune, Toby is now facing Extreme Resentment Thoughts, and the time has exceeded half an hour.”

Angel nodded, which meant that Toby was very likely to wake up soon.

As soon as Asaz finished speaking, Sharley, from Destiny’s Boiling Tune, let out a long breath, walked out from the Magical Energy Array, gestured to Asaz, and then sat on the side to rest while panting.

”Sharley’s gesture means that Toby’s emotion has receded and should wake up soon.” Asaz finished speaking, looked at the exhausted Sharley and added, ”During this period, Sharley hasn’t had any rest, it’s been ten consecutive days.”

Angel nodded, ”I understand.”

Sharley, despite her rebellious nature, has shown commendable performance during this period, and Angel has taken note of her attitude.

Angel thought about the item he refined for Sharley, and figured she should be satisfied with it, right?

After a few more minutes, Toby slowly awoke.

Previously, when Toby woke up, it would be in a long daze, influenced by the difference in Comatose Dream. But now, Toby had evidently overcome the reality and dream difference, waking up without pause, flying out of the Magical Energy Array immediately.

Seeing this scene, Angel felt both happy and heartbroken. Happy because Toby quickly shook off the Comatose Dream influence, indicating its fear of Extreme Resentment Thoughts diminishing day by day, which was worth celebrating.

However, thinking about what Toby went through, how many times it died in the House of the Heart to become so adept, Angel felt a bit heartbroken.

Suppressing the unnecessary feelings for now, Angel refocused on Toby.

After flying out of the Magical Energy Array, Toby, seeing Angel nearby, its eyes lit up and it immediately flew to Angel’s shoulder, snuggling for quite a while before calming down.

”What’s the result this time?” Greya eagerly asked.
