Warlock Apprentice

Chapter 1505: Section 1506: Silent Chamber of Commerce Chapter 1505: Section 1506: Silent Chamber of Commerce In the central district of Sky Mechanical City, there is an oval-shaped building.

This building is the very reason for the prosperity of Sky Mechanical City–the Transmission Hall.

It connects to various locations in the Southern Domain and has teleportation agreements with over a hundred Witcher Organizations and Wizard Families, establishing Sky Mechanical City as the core trade hub of the Southern Domain Wizard World.

On this day, an attendant in the west area of the Transmission Hall received information from the main control desk.

“Please note, the teleportation array for Fairy Tale World’s Silent Hill has been activated, detecting three direct life forms, please prepare to receive them.”

The teleportation attendant immediately showed a respectful expression and approached. It was a rule that all long-distance teleportations necessarily involved an Official Wizard, and showing respect to Official Wizards was an obligatory rule for Apprentices.

As a bluish glow lit up, three figures appeared on the teleportation platform.

When the teleportation attendant saw the faces of the arrivals, his heart thumped wildly, and he was stunned. He thought that among the arrivals, there should only be one Wizard, but surprisingly, all were Wizards.

Even though he did not recognize the Witch, the remaining two were familiar–whether it was the Illusion Master or Angel, whose name was now at the peak of controversy.

Eh, Angel… Wizard?

It took a good while before the teleportation attendant realized, the arrivals were… three Official Wizards!

That meant, the records in “Sky of Truth” were correct! Angel had become an Official Wizard?!

By the time he regained his senses and wanted to confirm again, he realized there was no one on the teleportation platform.

Meanwhile, on the outskirts of the main district of Sky Mechanical City, a door opened.

The three individuals who had disappeared from the teleportation platform walked out one by one.

“Back at Black Castle, I heard people say you had a short-distance teleportation trick, is this it?” As Greya walked out from the door, she looked towards Angel, who maintained a calm face.

Seeing Angel nod in acknowledgment, Greya couldn’t help but remark: “Although it’s just a short-distance teleport, I felt absolutely no suppression, showing the stability of the spatial energy. Among all short-distance teleportation techniques, this is indeed top-tier.”

After praising, Greya continued, “You used a spell technique directly in the main district, aren’t you worried about being targeted by the Enforcement Squad?”

Angel remained silent for a moment, then took out an access card from the Research and Development Institute and flashed it.

Greya: “…I forgot you’re a member of the Research and Development Institute.”

Being a member of the Research and Development Institute is one of the highest statuses in Sky Mechanical City, even if you are not from Sky Mechanical City, but as long as you are a member, you have certain privileges. To some extent, you could even mobilize human resources of Sky Mechanical City.

So, the use of a spell technique by Angel in the main district naturally would not be held accountable.

However, the fluctuation from using the Gate of Void by Angel must have been recorded, which means… the news of Angel’s return was already known to the upper echelons of Sky Mechanical City.

Indeed, as soon as the Gate of Void faded, Angel’s communicator began to flash.

The communicator, a thin piece of transparent glass, was something Angel received after joining the Research and Development Institute.

A pale blue human-form spirit emerged from the screen of the glass piece.

“Mr. Pat, welcome back to Sky Mechanical City,” came the elegant voice from the blue spirit.

“Antonio?”

The sender of the message was none other than the guardian spirit of Creation Hall, Antonio.

“Is there something you need?” Angel asked curiously.

“Mr. Pat, Muse is currently in seclusion. Before entering seclusion, Muse instructed me to take over and host any matters regarding you once you arrived in Sky Mechanical City.”

“I understand, once I finish my current business, I’ll visit Fantasy Mechanical City,” Angel nodded, seems like the follow-up matter Muse talked about most likely referred to the special assessment task.

“I look forward to your arrival,” said Antonio before his figure gradually disappeared.

Regarding matters of the Research and Development Institute, neither Sanders nor Greya should ask too much. Hence, over the following period, no one brought up Antonio’s matter.

The location where the Gate of Void opened was right near Sanders’ estate in Sky Mechanical City.

Once back at the estate, Sanders returned to his study. The Number One Butler led Greya to her temporary room.

Angel, meanwhile, sat on the sofa in the living room, taking out an envelope adorned with an exquisite seal.

The envelope read: “For Wizard Pat’s personal opening.”

Angel took out the letter and slowly read it. After finishing, his face was expressionless, but there was a hint of mockery in his eyes.

“Is this letter from Wizard Ivan that you just received?” At this moment, Greya entered the living room, now dressed casually, holding a cup of rose-scented tea.

Noticing Angel’s gaze on her tea cup, Greya casually waved, and a cup of rose tea appeared in front of Angel.

Angel picked up the teacup and took a sip. The rich aroma filled his mouth.

“Rose tea, not quite your style, is it?” Angel put down the teacup.

Greya was taken aback and smiled bitterly, “No choice, I’m influenced by this young body.”

Although it was Greya’s soul that dominated this body, she did not destroy the girl’s spirit but let her soul sleep. Thus, over time, Greya’s preferences, behavior, and movements were gradually influenced by the girl.

To not be affected, one must either destroy the girl’s soul completely or recover the lost body.

“We can only hope to find the body soon,” Greya sighed, steering the conversation away.

Angel also redirected the conversation from Greya’s changes back to the letter: “Yes, this letter was given to me by Wizard Ivan when we left Silent Hill. However, it wasn’t written by Wizard Ivan.”

“It wasn’t written by him?” Greya said, “That’s right, Wizard Ivan is a good man, he wouldn’t offend you. And seeing your expression, it seems you disdain the content of the letter.”

Angel said nothing but handed the letter to Greya.

After reading it, Greya burst into laughter: “It turns out to be an apology letter from Taros. However, it’s an apology without any substantial compensation, typically stingy of him.”

Greya knew of the rift between Angel and “Double-faced Stone Spirit” Taros, and after reading the letter, she understood why Angel was scornful.

“So insincere an apology, are you going to accept it?”

“Why not? After all, Wizard Ivan secretly gave it to me, not just this letter, but also this.” Angel took out a card.

The card was entirely black and bore the emblem of Silent Hill.

Greya glanced at it and instantly realized, “Hmm, a VIP card of the Somber Commerce Guild?”

Many witcher organizations have their own commerce guild or stores, like Storm Gorge’s Storm Shop specializing in selling unique demonic materials. The Somber Commerce Guild is similar, backed by Silent Hill, specializing in selling the unique demonic materials from Silent Hill.

This VIP card allows a 50% discount on purchasing demonic materials at the Somber Commerce Guild, except for special materials.

Although Angel didn’t like Taros, regardless of his revenge, he ultimately couldn’t kill him, as Taros, being a stone spirit, is the gatekeeper of Silent Hill. Killing Taros would mean declaring war on Silent Hill.

Although Taros’ apology was insincere, the VIP card supplemented by Wizard Ivan was extremely valuable.

Additionally, since Angel couldn’t really kill Taros outright, accepting it aligned with the maximization of benefits.

Besides, accepting the apology did not mean Angel had forgiven Taros.

It merely meant he wouldn’t target Taros openly.

Of course, if Taros didn’t continue to provoke, Angel wouldn’t have the time to deal with him secretly.

As the moon climbed into the sky, the blue canopy turned into a starlit scene.

After studying all day, Angel finally put down the thick book in his hand.

Lit by the bright light of the fluorite, one could see the beautifully cursive title on the book’s cover: “Essentials of Shapeshifting Technique.”

Initially, after advancing to a wizard, Angel had mostly studied the “Alchemy Workshop” spell technique.

However, studying tricks could take months, years, or even decades. Now, Angel’s focus wasn’t on tricks, but a real spell technique–Alchemy Workshop, which presumably would take even more time.

With no progress in Alchemy Workshop, Angel decided to put it aside for the moment and prioritize Shapeshifting Technique.

After all, having confirmed that the Transforming Soft-bodied Insect was his target, adopting its skin would make learning Shapeshifting Technique much simpler than Alchemy Workshop.

Moreover, Angel hadn’t forgotten about Tidal World. To enter it, learning Shapeshifting Technique was essential.

Although using the skin of a Transforming Soft-bodied Insect could be a shortcut to rapidly learn Shapeshifting Technique, choosing transplantation surely required auxiliary methods to prevent failure.

Angel spent the whole day organizing the necessary materials for these aids, facilitating future purchasing.

After sorting things out for an entire day, Angel was almost done.

Just as he was stretching and double-checking the material compatibility, the energy shield around the manor showed some disturbances.

Angel stepped onto the balcony to see, although he didn’t see exactly what happened, he noticed Greya sitting on the roof across, leisurely enjoying her drink.

When Angel flew over to Greya, she casually handed him a glass of wine.

Angel took the wine but didn’t drink it, instead asking, “What happened outside?”

Greya smiled and pointed towards the distance: “The energy of the youth is really vibrant; they can ignite a fierce battle at any time.”

Following Greya’s direction, Angel saw under the pitch-black nightfall, two figures, against the backdrop of the massive moon, ceaselessly emanating ripples of energy.
