Warhammer Divine Throne

Chapter 1195: Chapter 517: The Lively Winter Festival (Part 1)

”Alright.”

When Laine and Mogiana arrived at the banquet hall, everyone was already seated.

Duke of Winford, Francois, Duke Boldro Bodric, King Belgar of Eight Peaks and his wife Komanik, the Jialan Council’s Female Elder Aurora, and Laine’s two female courtiers, Veronica and Teresa, were all seated, engaging in casual conversation. Francois was the happiest, constantly toasting and sharing his joy with everyone.

Bodric thought it was Francois’s time to be proud. His daughter might just become the Queen of Brittania in the future. Taking advantage of this opportunity, the Divine Chosen Champion of the Sea God kept pouring Francois several drinks, and Laine’s father-in-law unusually accepted each one.

Belgar was the first to sit on the raised chair and start eating and drinking. The king of the Angland Clan complained that Laine’s chef wasn’t skilled enough and the dishes didn’t suit a Dwarf’s taste, but he ate the most. Belgar held a roast chicken leg in his left hand and a long baguette stuffed with bacon in his right, eating heartily.

In Dwarf culture, the more one eats at a banquet, the more face-saving it is for the host.

Seeing Laine enter, Belgar happily said, ”Oh ho, Brother Laine, congratulations! It must be Valaya’s blessing, you’re about to have an heir!”

After speaking, Belgar took a bite of the chicken leg and then tore off another chicken leg from the roast chicken on the table.

”Thank you.” Laine greeted Belgar, and upon seeing Mogiana appear, everyone except Belgar stood up to bless this significant event for Laine’s territory. Having an heir is good news for all the knights and Laine’s allies present.

”Thank you all for your blessings.” Laine thanked everyone, then they all took their seats. Mogiana sat to Laine’s right, while Veronica sat to his left. The Jialan Witch’s expression turned slightly sour. After Laine sat down, Veronica immediately whispered to him, ”Darling, aren’t you happy?”

Laine immediately knew Veronica was jealous. He held Veronica’s hand, clad in black lace gloves, under the table: ”You will have one too.”

”Hmph, a man’s words are never reliable.” Veronica snorted unhappily. Taking advantage of Francois still speaking, the Jialan Witch secretly said, ”Darling, tell me, are you living alone now?”

”Are you thinking of moving in with me during this time?” Laine squinted his eyes, feeling a bit intrigued.

”Why not?” Veronica blushed: ”We all think now is our chance!”

”We?” Laine was a bit puzzled, but Veronica continued, ”Forget it, let’s not talk about that now. Darling, what I wanted to say is, you might have to advance your plan to attack Musillon.”

”Advance it? Why?” Laine instinctively turned his gaze to Francois. Among everyone present, only Francois had the qualification and ability to modify the strategic plans Laine had set.

”It’s the idea of Elder Trovik.” Veronica shrugged helplessly: ”She said she doesn’t plan to stay in your territory until the end of spring planting and will leave for the Jialan Council at the latest by March.”

”If you want to leverage the strength of this elder, you must advance your plans.”

”What do you think?”

”This...” Laine couldn’t help but fall into contemplation.
