Venerated Venomous Consort

Gu Xijiu added, “Do you mean to say that the plot began as early as 10,000 years ago? And that Fan Qianshi planted the Blue Fox family here all because of you?”

“It seems like it.” Di Fuyi nodded.

“There is something that bothers me,” he continued while gently tapping on the table.

Gu Xijiu looked at him in bewilderment as she waited for him to continue.

“From what I have observed, Fan Qianshi’s spiritual power and Kung Fu are both stronger and more powerful than mine. It should be very easy for him to take my life or even tear my soul into pieces. Many options are far easier than this incredibly long plot,” he explained.

“Also, he refused to fight me face-to-face and would rather run away as soon as he realized that his plan had failed. He did not even try to fight me. Don’t you think that is a bit odd?”

“It sounds odd,” Gu Xijiu agreed. “Perhaps he is intimidated by your identity. Maybe he will be punished somehow if he were to harm you directly.”

Di Fuyi shook his head. “We fought before. No amount of catastrophic punishment is enough to make him repay for what he has done to me. He certainly is not worried about the punishment.”

“What else could it be then?”

“Perhaps I have a greater and more powerful identity, which happens to be intimidating to him. Maybe there is no way that he can kill me. Perhaps my death will restore my powerful identity once more, which will be his bigger threat. He must be afraid that I will take my revenge once I am back to where I belong, so he has to stay in the dark and play dirty so that I never find out who he really is. I believe that he is trying to find a way to destroy me for good, so I will not become who I really am.”

Gu Xijiu remained quiet. She could not agree more with Di Fuyi’s theory, but she could not say anything. Gu Xijiu recalled her dream. Everything seemed blurry, but the master of heavenly law and the man in black clearly made an impression on her.

Could Fan Qianshi be the man in black? And, was it possible that the master of heavenly law would once again become powerful once his life came to an end? Death would never truly occur to him. Once he became who he really was, Fan Qianshi would never be able to defeat him.

Therefore, Fan Qianshi chose to conceal his true identity and would only disguise himself with other forms to help him blend in with Di Fuyi’s surroundings. This was to keep him safe in the event that Di Fuyi remembered who he really was in the past.

As for Di Fuyi’s weakness, Fan Qianshi must be looking for something beyond the physical. Otherwise, he would have found it a long time ago.

Gu Xijiu suddenly remembered about the video that Fan Qianshi showed her. She figured that some parts of the video must still be true. For example, the master of heavenly law used to be a man who had no emotions and no regard for anyone by staying aloof from all worldly matters.

Only without emotions could one be truly strong. He needed to be fair and square without any biases before he could secure his position as the master of heavenly law. Since he could be so objective, his existence was too powerful and intimidating. There was nothing that could truly become his weakness. As the creator of the universe, Fan Qianshi had to create something to become Di Fuyi’s weak spot, so he could regain his power.

Could Gu Xijiu be the weak spot that Fan Qianshi had purposely created for Di Fuyi? Gu Xijiu shivered a little at the thought of the possibility. The master of heavenly law was not allowed to fall in love with someone else, or he would have to surrender his power. If the video was true, then Fan Qianshi had already achieved his aim.

However, something did not quite make sense. Di Fuyi had been in love with her since quite a long time ago. Why did Fan Qianshi even bother to take the role of Zhu Duqing and create more feuds? He only needed to wait patiently until Di Fuyi finally surrendered his power to him. There was no need to do so many unnecessary things like getting Little Fox pregnant with a demon.
