Luo Zhanyu was speechless. He did not know what to say.

The mussel only followed certain people’s order!

Earlier on, he had tried every possible way to ask it to find Gu Xijiu. However, not only did it show its impatience, if he said a couple more words, the mussel would have used its shell to trap him. It proved that not merely anyone could order it around.

Since it was Di Fuyi who had ordered the mussel, it ran faster than the wind! Furthermore, it also made sure that it was running steadily as requested by Di Fuyi. He never knew that a mussel could run so fast!

At that moment, everyone was speechless as they looked at each other.

Luo Zhanyu took a short breath and said, “I know that Celestial Master Zuo had made a promise that he would not close an eye regarding today’s incident. If he had come all the way here, he probably has his way to get us out of this place.”

The crowd agreed, but Luo Zhanyu felt uncertain. He said, “I’ll go and check on him.” He then went after Celestial Master Zuo.

The mussel felt tempted. Celestial Master Zuo had blood stains all over his body, and he was seriously injured. He needed medical treatment immediately.

Celestial Master Zuo’s blood was delicious! It smelled better than what its owner had described! It could still pretend that it did not smell anything if Celestial Master Zuo was not sitting in its shell. However, he was now sitting on its lips, so it felt tempted. It was like a greedy child who liked eating sweets and was now looking at a piece of tasty chocolate. The thought of Celestial Master Zuo’s blood made it drool.

The mussel was curious about Celestial Master Zuo’s blood. It had never smelled such an aroma before. Of course, it would never dare to swallow Celestial Master Zuo, but it could only quietly lick the bloodstain off Celestial Master Zuo’s clothes.

It was challenging to get close to Celestial Master Zuo. It was the first time that the mussel had gotten so close to him. It was nervous, and its heart was beating rapidly. It was afraid that Celestial Master Zuo would be aware of its gluttonous thought.

However, it was evident that the mussel had been overthinking. Celestial Master Zuo had been meditating ever since he entered the mussel’s shell and was not even interested in starting a chat with the mussel.

Gu Xijiu did not explain to them that she was escaping from the marriage when she took the three of them and ran away. She only mentioned that she needed to find some medicine.

However, after staying in the village for some time, the mussel had a hunch that there was something wrong between the both of them. Yet, it did not dare ask Gu Xijiu about the problem between her and Di Fuyi.

The mussel felt anxious now that Di Fuyi was sitting in its shell. It felt that it was because of him that its master was being trapped in this place.

Celestial Master Zuo must have been waiting outside for a rather long time. Now that he had managed enter the place, he was looking for his fiance. Its master was not concerned about the fact that they had ended up at the eighth peak because of it. However, if Celestial Master Zuo had known about it, he would probably crush his shell if he got angry!

There was no way for it to lie. Once its master and Celestial Master Zuo met, they would discuss this matter. During that time, it would be in a lot of trouble. What was it that his owner usually said? Leniency to those who confess, severity to those who resist.

Therefore, the mussel began confessing carefully. “Celestial Master Zuo, I never intended for this to happen. It was pouring heavily that day and a there was even a thunderstorm. I was scared, so… I used the skill that you taught me and burrowed into the ground as I thought that it would be a good way to get out of the thunderstorm. Unfortunately, I somehow got lost and ended up here…”
