Vampire Progenitor System

The throne hall filled like a tide breaking through stone.

One by one, the Origin clan stepped into the chamber, their auras burning different colors against the blackstone walls. Anita with her crimson coat and cold, sharp eyes. Alessia, her shadow trailing behind her like a living thing. Mikael, broad as a fortress, his presence shaking the air. Zane, calm, silent, dangerous. One after another until the chamber was heavy with power.

And not just them.

Dracula arrived last among the elders, his cloak dragging across the floor, the old weight of the Vampire Realm etched into his face. Valena stood at his side, elegant as ever, her sharp eyes cutting across the room. Behind them, lords and high-born stood in a line, each one marked by centuries of blood and dominion.

When Lucifer finally rose from the crescent throne, every gaze turned to him. The weight of the room bent toward him naturally, as though gravity itself had chosen him alone.

His crimson eyes burned faint as he swept them all with his gaze. Then he spoke.

”The war begins tonight.”

No one moved. No one breathed. His voice alone carried enough weight to silence them.

”The adversaries are not shadows anymore. They move. Adam walks with them. The Progenitors gather, and every realm sharpens its claws. The Vampire Realm will not sit and wait for ruin to find us.”

His cloak spilled forward as he descended the steps. The sound of his boots striking stone was the only noise in the vast chamber.

”You are my clan. My family. My blade.” His eyes swept the Origin members, then lingered on Dracula and Valena. ”But not all of you will march. Some will remain. The realm must stand even if I fall.”

He stopped at the center of the hall, his voice sharper now.

”Dracula. Valena. Serah. You stay here. Guard the capital. Guard the throne. If we lose this seat, we lose everything.”

Dracula’s expression didn’t shift, though his gaze was heavy, unreadable. Valena’s lips pressed tight, her chin lifting in silent acceptance. Serah tilted her head, fangs flashing faintly, but she said nothing.

Lucifer turned toward the others. His aura flared, crimson shadows rising at his back like wings.

”The rest of you—Anita, Alessia, Mikael, Zane, Vina, Rey—you march with me. The battlefield won’t be here. It will shift. Move. Tear open wherever the adversaries break through. And when it does, we meet them head on. No hesitation. No retreat.”

A murmur ran through the lords at the edges, but none dared speak against him.

Lucifer’s voice dropped low, his crimson eyes burning sharper.

”Go. Get ready. Tell your kin. Gather your blades. When I call, you answer.”

The order cracked like thunder. None resisted.

The Origin members bowed their heads faintly before peeling away, each already heavy with the thought of what was coming. Dracula and Valena lingered for a heartbeat longer, then turned to take their places in the role he had given them.

Lucifer stood there for a moment, the chamber emptying around him until the echo of footsteps died into silence. Only two remained by the doors.

Vina and Rey.

He walked toward them, cloak dragging across the stone, his presence burning heavier with each step.

Rey stood straight as always, his hands folded behind his back, his eyes fixed on Lucifer with quiet obedience. Beside him, Vina shifted her weight, sharp eyes watching her lord, her jaw tight.

Lucifer stopped in front of them.

”Rey,” he said, voice steady. ”You’ll stay back.”

Rey blinked once, but his face didn’t move. ”Stay back, my lord?”

Lucifer’s crimson gaze flicked toward Luna’s shadow at the far side of the hall. Then back to him.

”You’ll guard her. Whatever happens in the realms, whatever breaks, she does not fall. Not while you breathe.”

Rey bowed his head once, no hesitation. ”As you command.”

Beside him, Vina’s face shifted. Her lips parted like she wanted to speak, her eyes flashing faint with protest. She didn’t. Not yet. But the change in her was sharp enough that Lucifer noticed.

He ignored it.

”You’ll stay at her side always,” Lucifer went on, his voice sharper now. ”If she leaves the chamber, you leave with her. If she bleeds, you bleed first. If she dies—” His crimson eyes burned through Rey’s steady gaze. ”—then you’ll already be dead before her.”

Rey’s voice was iron, calm and unwavering. ”Understood.”

Lucifer gave a single nod, then turned slightly, his gaze shifting toward Vina.

”You’ll march with me. South front first. You’ll lead the spear while Zane covers in shadow. No mistakes.”

Her jaw tightened further, but she forced herself to nod. ”Yes, my lord.”

Lucifer didn’t linger. He stepped past them both, his cloak brushing across the floor, his presence like a storm breaking loose.

But before he crossed the threshold of the hall, he stopped. His crimson eyes fixed far in the distance, as though the walls were nothing, as though he was already staring at the battlefield.

His hand twitched once, his aura flaring so hard the torches along the chamber guttered.

Then, without another word, his body dissolved into crimson smoke—gone.

The chamber fell into silence again, leaving only Rey and Vina behind.

Rey’s face was calm as stone, already set on his task.

Vina’s lips curled faintly, not a smile but something sharp, unreadable. Her eyes lingered on the doors where Lucifer had vanished.

She didn’t speak.

But the storm that twisted in her gaze said everything she refused to say out loud.

Elsewhere

The crimson smoke peeled back into flesh and shadow.

Lucifer’s boots struck stone as he stepped out of the void and into the open air of the outer courtyards. This part of the Vampire Realm was different from the throne halls—older, less polished, carved by the first kings into the mountain itself. The walls still bore scars from wars fought before memory, but the moonlight spilling down through the broken arches made them glow like silver veins.

And they weren’t empty.

Figures waited there. Familiar ones.

Lucifer’s crimson eyes flicked first toward the girl at the center of the courtyard—Temmy. Her spirit aura pulsed like starlight around her, faint shapes of her beast flickering behind her like a second shadow. Once, she had been small, nervous, trembling in her own power. Now she stood tall, calm, her eyes steady as she turned to him.

”You came,” she said simply.

Lucifer’s lips tugged faintly. ”You fixed my sunlight problem once. I owed you at least a visit.”

Her grin cracked through her calm. The spirit aura flared around her, and for a second, the beast’s outline surged so large it filled the courtyard walls before fading again. ”I’ve gotten stronger since then. You’ll see.”

He believed her.

A movement pulled his gaze aside. Two more stepped out from the shadows of the archway—wolves.

Ken and Angel.

Ken’s aura hit first, pressing heavy like the weight of mountains, his brown eyes now burning gold with Alpha fire. His stride was slower, heavier, but there was no doubt in the way the other wolves in the courtyard instinctively lowered their eyes as he passed.

Angel followed at his side, scarred and sharp, one eye blind, the other sharper than steel. Her claws extended just a fraction as she walked, sparks of lightning flickering across her fingertips before fading.

Lucifer let his gaze rest on Ken. ”So you finally did it.”

Ken’s jaw tightened, his aura flaring just enough to shake the dust from the stone floor. ”I didn’t choose it. It chose me.”

Angel smirked, tossing her hair over one shoulder. ”He’s still adjusting. But me? I’m still better than him.”

Ken gave her a sidelong glare. She only grinned wider.

The old rhythm was still there. Lucifer almost smiled.

But then his eyes slid further, and the air shifted colder.

Dera.

The hunter.

She stood with her arms folded, knives strapped to her thighs, her eyes sharp as they locked on him. The runes on her forearms glowed faint, burning softly like veins of molten silver.

Lucifer tilted his head slightly. ”Still breathing.”

Her jaw clenched. ”Still here to kill monsters.”

The tension between them cracked like a drawn bowstring. Memories flickered—the night she almost killed him, the nights she hired him, trusted him, fought beside him through blood and flame. She hadn’t changed much. Still fire. Still guilt.

He gave her a faint nod. ”Good. We’ll need you.”

Her eyes softened just for a second, then hardened again.

And then—

The air grew heavier.

Mob.

He didn’t step into the courtyard. He cut into it. His white wings flared once as he landed, the force shattering the stone beneath his boots. His blade slid free without sound, the light from it swallowing the silver of the moon. He didn’t look at anyone. Didn’t greet anyone. His aura alone made the others stiffen, like the air itself had teeth.

Lucifer understood. Francisca.

He hadn’t healed from it. He never would.

Before the silence could stretch too sharp, a voice cut through.

”Longest time, guys.”

Ella.

She stepped out from behind Lucifer as if she had always been there, her dark hair catching the moonlight, her grin careless as always. Her aura, bright and playful, clashed against the heaviness in the air until it almost felt normal again.

”Welcome to the Vampire Realm.”

Ken barked a laugh. Angel smirked. Temmy grinned. Even Dera let out a sharp exhale, half a laugh she didn’t want to admit.

Only Mob stayed silent.

Only Lucifer didn’t laugh.

He turned to Mob.

The boy’s jaw was tight, his blade still at his side, his eyes burning with something heavier than rage.

Lucifer stepped closer, slow, deliberate, until his shadow brushed Mob’s. He didn’t lower his voice—he didn’t need to. Every word carried sharp across the courtyard.

”Don’t worry.” His crimson eyes met Mob’s fire. ”We’ll bring her back. No matter what it takes.”
