Three Towers Game

Wenren Mirror said:

”We will go save Xiaotong. You should be aware of Xiaotong’s situation by now. He’s living in lies and deceit.”

”His physical condition is terrible, so bad that it might soon trigger a massive... curse.”

When Wen Xishu heard this word, he suddenly realized that District 19 and District 20 indeed resembled some passionate city from his past life.

The gifted individuals in District 19, overloaded with too much misfortune, eventually exploded... causing the entire District 19 to look like it had been nuked.

There were holes everywhere, floating building debris.

The same thing happened in District 20, where suffering made the gifted lose all hope in the world. After reaching a certain threshold... they too exploded entirely, bringing down the rules of suffering where everyone had to embrace pain.

”Is this... the two nuclear bombs of Deceit Tower?”

That he still had time to think of such Hell jokes, Wen Xishu immediately shook his head and refocused:

”The process of saving Morioka Hitomi is bound to be very difficult. We’ll have to confront Morioka, this vampire who has made countless wishes. He’s nearly impossible to kill, almost invincible.”

”But there is still a way. I think you, senior, should have thought of a plan to defeat him, just like I did, right?”

Wenren Mirror nodded:

”The key to breaking the situation lies in Xiaotong’s obsession with Xiaoxing.”

”Before I left Xiaotong, I tested him and confirmed it... While Xiaotong won’t do anything Morioka forbids, he is very persistent about saving Xiaoxing.”

”Based on their chat records, Morioka has always verbally compromised, which shows that even he cannot erase Xiaotong’s desire to save Xiaoxing.”

”Morioka never satisfies Morioka Hitomi’s demands and always stalls, probably because he’s afraid Xiaoxing’s appearance would weaken his control.”

”This is our breakthrough point.”

Akiyama Sachi understood:

”No matter what, he yearns to save me, to drive away my misfortune.”

”But I’ve experienced so much misfortune. Can he really handle it?”

Wenren Mirror smiled and said:

”Now you know, misfortune is just the nourishment that makes you stronger. Once you understand this, they are no longer your misfortune.”

Akiyama Sachi instantly realized:

”So I... I should change the source of my misfortune.”

Wenren Mirror nodded:

”Yes, Xiaoxing. This is the most critical step in our battle plan.”

Akiyama Sachi understood:

”My misfortune is Xiaotong’s misfortune. When my misfortune...is Xiaotong’s inability to achieve happiness, Xiaotong can absorb this part of my misfortune and achieve happiness.”

”That way, those making Xiaotong unfortunate will find it difficult to control him.”

Her eyes instantly shone with light.

Not just her, even Wenren Mirror felt the terrifying power of these two when combined.

Misfortune and suffering can make Akiyama Sachi stronger.

And Morioka Hitomi can absorb others’ misfortune. If they combine, it might truly bring change to Hujiang.

Perhaps this is what Capricorn meant by the impending greater change in karmic destiny?

But now, the problem before everyone was the most tricky one yet.

Wen Xishu said:

”We need to find a way to stall Morioka Immortal. Our actions will make him unfortunate, which means everything we do will become extremely difficult.”

”Moreover, Morioka Immortal’s powers are probably very strong as well.”

”This guy might already be in a state where all his wishes come true. We can say that apart from being unable to stop Morioka Hitomi’s desire to save Xiaoxing, he practically gets everything he wants.”

”I have to distract him, stall him, make him think that his misfortune is me.”

”Senior, you are a charismatic person and almost immune to common people’s killing intent and hostility. So you will take Xiaoxing and find Morioka Hitomi. I will give you the Compass.”

In a sense, Morioka Hitomi cannot be found because that belongs to ”Morioka Immortal’s” misfortune.

But whether the Compass is stronger than Xiaotong’s power... Wen Xishu thought, probably the Compass is a bit stronger.

Wenren Mirror also understood the necessity of splitting up.

This journey is bound to be very tough. If one source of ”misfortune” can be split into two, the resistance each would face would be lesser.

However, Wenren Mirror was very concerned:

”Can you really face Morioka alone? Although you can use violence, you can’t use the sequence of Deceit Tower and Slaughter Tower.”

Wen Xishu said:

”Trying to kill him under Morioka Hitomi’s power is naturally difficult, so we need to battle on two fronts. Only when you succeed there will I have a chance to kill him.”

”I will certainly encounter danger. Trying to kill him directly, I might feel like Xiaoxing, being targeted by the whole world. But if I don’t teach this guy a lesson myself, I’ll be very unsatisfied.”

If he had the Trinitarian power, Wen Xishu wouldn’t have to bother, just kill through directly to get it over with.

But now, he might have to use some more extreme trump cards.

So far, all of Wen Xishu’s orange items, except for the killing football which evolved to orange due to the Madness Dice and is limited to a single tower system, the gloves, knife, compass, and feather are naturally orange items, usable across the Three Towers.

But Wen Xishu actually had one more item, also a naturally orange item.

To deal with someone with virtually no weaknesses, under the power of Desire Tower, without activating Trinitarian power, Wen Xishu also prepared for a desperate fight:

”Let’s see if my destiny is tougher or his luck is stronger.”
