Three Towers Game

Chapter 226: Chapter 102: The Museum Mission Concludes

Chapter Eleven.

Wen Xishu’s tool in this Chapter is a grappling hook, which comes from item 4-27. It is evidently very challenging to kill one hundred high-level normal species with this tool.

Nonetheless, Wen Xishu still uses the grappling hook to suspend himself and Zheng Zai into the high air.

The ability of the grappling hook is quite suitable for completing certain stunt challenges; it can hook onto anything 100% of the time and belongs to the conceptual category of items.

Even if you throw it into the sky, it will create a point of force out of thin air. With this thing, unless you are in a completely enclosed space, even if you fall into a deep abyss, you can climb out.

Wen Xishu pondered that when Ding Dong designed this item, he probably considered that the group would need to traverse mountains and rivers in the future and would require the grappling hook to cross some special terrains.

This Chapter Eleven is the same; Wen Xishu and Zheng Zai use the grappling hook to hang in the air, occupying a favorable position, thereby putting the item to great use in the killing process.

Then Wen Xishu uses gloves to directly eliminate the rare species, elite species, and even leader-level monsters created by Ding Dong.

Only normal species remain, allowing Zheng Zai to achieve one hundred effective kills.

There is nothing much to say about the battles in this Chapter, but Wen Xishu finds the scene of this Chapter quite special.

The scene of this Chapter is a research institute on an island.

Others might just think the scene of each Chapter is merely a change of location for monster killing, but Wen Xishu tends to make associative thoughts.

”These places must be locations Ding Dong has been to. This should be the place he stayed at with Professor Jin during his childhood.”

”It’s strange, does this mean it has already fallen? The previous scenes are actually not important because Ding Dong didn’t mention them much.”

”But this scene, Ding Dong deliberately mentioned the research institute on the island when narrating his past.”

”As the creator of the Chapters, although he designed them according to my plans, he knows what will happen here later.”

”In my conversations with Ding Dong, he knew that my friends would come here, so is he leaving some information?”

Monsters are not important; Wen Xishu is certain about one thing: if he were Ding Dong, he would definitely assume the ”Plane” could get the Phoenix Gloves. Then all monsters would be meaningless.

Thinking of this, Wen Xishu thought of another question:

”An island like this should be far from the war, at least... the Twelve Constellations did not find this place. Otherwise, Ding Dong and Professor Jin couldn’t have survived here for more than ten years.”

”So how did this place fall? I’ve always been puzzled by why humans turn into normal species.”

”Up until now, the ones I saved - Jack, Jennifer, Tang Rui, and the An Family Brothers - are the future ’Leaders’, while An Rongzai, who I did not save, will be the future ’Master’.”

”But this world still has countless people without peculiar qualifications; they should have turned into normal species.”

”This is really strange. Is it some kind of disease? But how could this disease possibly spread to an island without ports or airports?”

In Wen Xishu’s previous life, there was a game called Plague Inc., and Greenland, which had no airport, was often jokingly referred to by players as the last pristine land, a refuge, etc.

This confirmed that places humans couldn’t reach, conflicts, and disasters couldn’t reach either.

”Airborne transmission? Or is it a rule itself? After the apocalypse, is it some rule that turns humans into normal species?”

The more questions about the apocalyptic world, the more Wen Xishu becomes intensely interested. However, he cannot explore the scene’s details.

Because Zheng Zai’s performance has been consistently stable, this Chapter ends quickly.

Chapter Eleven is successfully cleared, and Wang Ying is still on Chapter Nine.

Wen Xishu and Zheng Zai quickly head to 4-21, where they find the final item to identify, a soccer ball.

The surface pattern of the soccer ball is a very standard black and white hexagonal alternation.

But Wen Xishu can see some very interesting remarks.

[Killing, Ball, Track.]

Only these four words can be discerned amidst the garbled text, but Wen Xishu already feels the ball’s usefulness.

This is already considered a standard Slaughter Tower item. Without hesitation, the two identify the ball and immediately step out of the room, starting the usage stage.

Wen Xishu is very curious. If the research institute is only the penultimate Chapter, then what is the scene of the final Chapter?

Thinking back, the initial hints said Yulia abandoned Jennifer because there was only one ”boarding slot” left.

He wonders, could it be related to the so-called ”Ark”?

But this time, Wen Xishu guessed wrong.

...

...

Chapter Twelve.

An endless grassland, low-hanging white clouds, gentle sunlight, with a Gothic-style church halfway up the mountain that is not just a church but also an orphanage.

At the foot of the mountain, there is a vast lake whose surface is like a mirror; on the other side of the lake, under the huge mountain range, sits a small town that doesn’t seem to have many people.

This is the scene of the final Chapter, which is completely different from Wen Xishu’s expectation of the Ark and the sea. The scene of this Chapter gives a feeling of a hidden paradise. Even the air here is sweet.

Wen Xishu suddenly realizes—the Chapter scenes are actually reversed. Maybe everything is reversed.

The first scene was a city ruin, which might actually be the last place Ding Dong went to later.
