Chapter 610: Power of Time (1)

On a path in the Ramsoda forest, a team of white carriages was heading to the school. The guards were bear men, tall and muscular. Their bodies were covered with black fur, and they were wearing silver shoulder guards. They carried weapons like hammers and maces on their backs.

“F*ck this weather! This damn weather should be f*cked by the f*cking centaurs!” the leading bear man cursed as he looked at the sky.

He shook his head, looking a bit impatient.

“Leader, can you not talk like that? Your mouth stinks…”

A bear man behind covered his nose.

“Really? I don’t think so…” The leader intentionally moved closer to his team member.

*BAM*

Someone pushed the member who’d just complained, so he ran into the leader. Thus, they somehow ended up kissing.

The whole team laughed and shouted.

“Kiss again! Come on!”

“Man, my stomach is aching…”

The bear men were all laughing like crazy.

The leader pushed the guy away and was about to rage. However, they suddenly heard thunder rumbling.

The weather changed within seconds. The sky was covered by gray clouds, and it felt like it could rain at any time.

Another bear man approached the leader and asked, “Leader, what should we do? Should we camp here?”

The leader glared at the bear man and said, “Don’t get too close to me!” He then checked the carriages and his brow furrowed. “We’ll see what they have to say.”

The windows of the carriages were covered with gray and white curtains. The curtains were moved to the side and the passengers started checking the weather through the window.

In the leading carriage, a handsome man with long and sharp ears was looking at the dark clouds with a serious expression on his face.

“There’s something wrong with the clouds…” It sounded like he was talking to himself, but it also felt like he was saying it to someone else.

A cute girl with blonde hair was playing with her hair when she heard what the man just said, which made her ask, “Grandfather, what’s the matter? Maybe the storm is coming. It’s normal for Ramsoda, right?”

It almost felt like the man did not hear her. He was still staring at the sky.

He opened his mouth again several minutes later.

“Your grandfather is cautious about everything; that’s how I survived in this cruel world. I even advanced to the Crystal stage. Girl, remember: no matter what you do, you need to think twice before acting!”

He pushed the door open before the girl responded.

“Let’s camp here and we need to stay away from the dark clouds.”

“Understood!” the bear men responded quickly.

The carriages slowly stopped by the roadside and they started building the camp. The bear men, the maids, and the workers all were fulfilling their duties.

*Rumble*

Thunder rumbled in the gray sky again; the noise echoed in the air. The thunder was so loud that it almost sounded like a roaring beast.

*Rumble*

Again, the thunder rumbled.

Everyone’s expressions changed. They looked at the dark clouds; they were certain that there was a roaring beast somewhere close—even the bear men could hear that the thunder was not the only thing that made the noise.

The man with sharp ears got off the carriage and looked at the area ahead with a serious expression on his face.

“These are not ordinary thunderclouds… There are people fighting ahead!”

The blonde girl and the people around were surprised by what the man just said.

“Stop joking, Grandfather… There are so many dark clouds. How can people create so many dark clouds in the sky? It’s almost like a scene in the novel that described the invasion of the Nightmare Realm.” The blonde girl calmed down right away. It seemed like she did not believe what the man had just said.

She wanted to say something else, but red lightning in the sky stopped her. The red lightning illuminated all the white carriages, making the scene a bit terrifying.

*Roar*

There was no thunder this time. The voice sounded like it was from an elephant and a snake lizard. The voice sounded anxious and painful.

The blonde girl was finally scared and stopped talking. The bear men slowly drew their weapons and held them in their hands. Perhaps the weapons could give them a sense of safety.

The maids and workers just stood there and looked at the dark clouds.

Suddenly, a red light dot appeared under the clouds. The light dot expanded and quickly turned into a humongous red bubble.

The bubble was getting larger and larger. Several seconds later, it turned into a glowing dark-red ball, which surrounded all the dark clouds in the center.

The red barrier stopped about ten meters in front of the carriages; it was like an enormous crystal wall that blocked their path.

The situation inside the red ball started changing before they could react.

White smoke rose from the ground, and it felt like the ground was melting. The trees and grass on the ground started drying. Some of them were burnt into ashes. There were red energy waves in the air, coming from the far side.

People all remained silent. They were looking at the scene like looking at something from the legends.

The man with sharp ears looked at the red barrier quietly. He suddenly had the feeling that all his efforts were pointless.

“If I have power like this, no matter how strong my family is, it’ll be completely pointless…”

It seemed like the man realized something. He witnessed the terrifying power and had a new goal in mind.

“Grandfather…”

The blonde girl did not notice the change of the man’s expression.

“What should we do now?”

“We can only wait. Our path is blocked. There’s nothing we can do.”

*********************************

Inside the light ball.

Above the square.

Angele was still releasing intense red light, which was burning everything in the range. The ground already melted into lava, and all the objects on the ground were swallowed by it. The square turned into a lake of lava.

Angele was in the center of the lava lake, staring at the scared blue snake in front of him quietly.

“Interesting… You were the one who betrayed the Axis of Time, and you were the reason why the organization was destroyed. I can’t believe you’re still alive after all these years.”

The humongous blue snake was covered with burnt marks. Its body was over 1000 meters long and there was white smoke rising from it. The snake was groaning; it seemed like it could not handle the high-temperature field of Son of the Sun.

“Who… Hissss… Who are you… Hisss…”

The blue snake stared at Angele with pain and anger in its eyes. It was also hissing like normal snakes.

Angele did not reply to the question.

“I gave you a chance, but you didn’t care. I even handed you the key. Now I just want to kill you and use your dead bodies as research materials.”

He finished the sentence and pointed at the snake.

*WOO*

A ball of dark flames appeared on the blue snake’s body and started burning like crazy. The noise sounded like meat being roasted.

Suddenly, the temperature around the snake was increased to over 7000 degrees Celsius. It felt like the area almost turned into vacuum.

*BAM*

The snake struggled and hit a melting building on the side. The building was on the edge of Angele’s aura and collapsed like a ball of mud after being hit by the snake’s body.

The building melted and turned into dark-red lava, which splashed on the ground and the snake’s body.

The snake started screaming in pain after touching the lava.

“You forced me to do this!” the snake shouted, and a humongous gray corona appeared under its body. The needle on the corona started rotating, quickly pointing at Angele.

The snake got even crazier; it raised its head and released a ray of blue light. The light pierced through the sky, which started raining.

The raindrops were blue, and looked like blue strings that were falling to the ground. The rain was falling on the whole red light ball.

Angele was a bit surprised. The lava in the high temperature field turned black and started solidifying.

The red light was fading away and the lava was cooling down. The already melted objects and buildings returned to their original forms. It felt like that the time was going backward.

Angele’s eyes were wide open; the flames in his eyes were spinning like crazy. The red light coming from his body was getting even more intense, however, the red light would disappear immediately after touching the raindrops.

He blinked his eyes and stopped releasing red light. Instead, he released some blue light. Also, he took out a purple potion and threw it into the air.

*PA*

The liquid in the test tube turned into some purple smoke.

Angele drew a series of red runes in the sky, and all the runes flew into the purple smoke.

After the red runes merged into the purple smoke, the land around the blue snake started shaking. Countless black tentacles rose from the ground and quickly grabbed the snake’s body. The tentacles were formed by mud and stones. Each of the tentacles was several meters long and it almost looked like there was an octopus fighting the snake.

Angele did not stop, he opened his mouth and released some dark smoke. The smoke quickly struck the sky.

The black smoke charged into the blue ray released by the snake and returned to Angele with some blue light dots. Also, the rain slowly stopped after the black smoke left the blue ray.

The snake was fighting against the tentacles, however, its pupils retracted after witnessing the scene. Its body quickly turned into a ball of blue light and teleported several hundred meters away from the area.
