The people who witnessed the battle were disappointed. They would rather watch the wooden plank tricks.

Only the people who knew real Kung Fu were impressed by Angele’s skills.

”This is the realm Kung Fu… That man knows the real skills!” Huan watched the young man return to the building. She knew how strong his skills were; his movements were totally different from those of the ones that were doing the wooden plank tricks.

”It’s so boring… The match ended within seconds…” Zhou was not interested.

”It wasn’t boring at all.” Huan chuckled. ”I’ve made up my mind, I’ll enroll here.”

”Seriously…?” Zhou stared at Huan, she had no idea why Huan made the decision.

Nian walked to them and interrupted, ”My senior brother can easily defeat the members of Wenqiang Dojo. Shilan hasn’t completed the entry level yet, he can’t even take one hit.

”What do you think? My senior brother just won the battle. I can introduce you to him if you’re interested.”

”It’s fine… I’ll pass…” Zhou pursed her lips.

Huan smiled but did not say anything. She was interested in Angele’s skills, but she was not interested in starting a relationship with him.

They decided to enroll in the classes and started practicing with other students.

　　***********************

It had been ten days since Angele started working in the building. He called his senior brother and the teacher multiple times, but they said that they would not be back until everything was settled.

Angele and Nian had to continue to work in the building.

Many practice matches were held over the days. Angele battled many people that were practicing different skills. He had one opponent that also practiced the Night Monkey Fist.

However, most of them could barely win a battle against the teachers from the training rooms. Angele’s attributes already increased a lot; his body changed and his skin was smooth like a girl.

If it was in the wizard world, Angele’s strongest Snake Palm skill called Snake Bite had the same power level of a basic attack performed by a top-level knight apprentice.

The basic application of the Snake Palm was attacking the target from different angles using different body parts. Angele used Snake Bite to defeat Shilan and did not even put too much force into it.

He kept absorbing the negative emotions when practicing the Snake Palm, and soon it almost sounded like there were snakes hissing around him.

About one month later, a message from Xuyang changed the situation. Angele checked the message and responded immediately.

”Yun? This is Xiulin.”

”Senior Brother, will you be back soon? What’s going on?” Angele was cleaning his face with a black towel.

”I didn’t know the meeting would last for so long. It has been over one month since you went to Xuyang.”

Xiulin remained for several seconds and started responding.

”We’re doing fine, your sister and the teacher are with me. We just had something that we needed to take care of. Also, we still need you and Nian’s help since it’ll take us a bit longer to get everything done.” Xiulin sounded tired. Although he tried his best to hide his emotions, Angele still noticed the difference.

”Just tell me what happened.” Angele’s brow furrowed.

”Don’t worry, just take care of the dojo for us, will you?” Xiulin dodged the question. ”It’s a small problem.”

Angele knew that Xiulin was a stubborn person—Xiulin would not tell him anything if it was not necessary. However, for some reason, it felt like the situation was different this time.

”One more thing, I transferred some money to you and Nian. I need to travel somewhere far from here. Your sister and our teacher will be back soon. Alright, take care, I need to go.”

”Money… We don’t even need a lot of money…” Angele was speechless. ”Fine, see you.”

The door of the office was pushed open when they finished the conversation. Nian stepped into the office with a strange look on her face.

”Yun, Senior Brother transferred some money to us.”

”Yeah, I just got the call. What happened?” Angele was a bit confused after seeing Nian’s expression. ”You should be happy that you got some extra money to spend.”

”The problem is… He sent me way too much money…” Nian responded.

”Like what? 5000?”

”No. 500 000…”

Angele’s brow furrowed. ”Well, that’s unusual. What’s going on?”

”I already sent our teacher a message. There’s definitely something wrong…” Nian lowered her voice and started explaining.

Xiulin was the son of his teacher’s friend; the teacher adopted him after his father passed away.

His father was the 12th inheritor of a large family, however, he was not treated seriously by the elders. Xiulin was never talented in certain fields.

The problem was that Xiulin was still a legal inheritor of the family; although he had many brothers, it did not change the fact. He was adopted when he was young and his name was not even written in the family’s record.

Xiulin’s family built a large business empire, but their opponent was assassinating the inheritors of the family. Xiulin was still alive, but most of the other inheritors were killed.

The family leader was not prepared for the change; he wanted to continue the bloodline, so he tried to find the legal inheritors that were kicked out of the family. Then, Xiulin was found by the current family leader. The family leader wanted him to lead the family until other inheritors were born.

However, there were other people who wanted to become the leader of the family and they were doing everything they could to stop Xiulin.

There were still people supporting Xiulin in the family; his cousin, uncle, brother, and sister were all helping him.

”So, what should we do?” Nian explained everything and looked at Angele. ”I’ve only read something like in novels…”

When the teacher was not in the dojo, it was Xiulin who took care of Yun Song and Nian. They wanted to pay Xiluin back.

”Who founded the Li Family?” Angele suddenly asked.

Nian hesitated for a second and responded, ”I think it was someone named Yilongxi Li or something… This is a shortened name, you can find his full name in history books. He was the one who discovered the Ball of Four Seasons.”

”Ball of Four Seasons…”

The birthmark on Angele’s back was warmed up after he heard the name.

”Why? We just need to figure out a valid solution as soon as possible…” Nian was a bit speechless.

Angele glanced at her and spoke in a low voice, ”You stay here. I’ll head to Xuyang.”

　　**********************

Xiulin stood in front of the window and looked at the shiny city down there. He sipped some cold water from a glass.

He was not sure what he should do.

The Li Family was pressuring him. It was a result that his uncle, cousin, sister, and brother never wanted. They tried to protect him, but it still happened.

He did not want to drag his teacher and the members of the dojo into this. His family members and their business opponents might just hire a gun to kill them. Xiulin knew that he was from a large family; he’d already decided to stay away from the family that abandoned him, but the family leader still found him.

”Xiulin, come on, you’ve wasted too much time outside. Come back to the family. I already transferred some money to the dojo. I also sent several bodyguards to protect your friends. What else do you want me to do?” A male voice came from the red communication device on the table.

”Nothing will happen even if you can find me. I decided to pursue the ultimate Kung Fu; there’s nothing I can do for the family.” Xiulin sounded tired.

”Dojo, Kung Fu, university, or whatever you want to do, I don’t care. Remember, you’re a legal inheritor of the family; you need to come back sooner or later. You’re just bringing trouble to the people around you until you come back to us,” the man spoke in a low voice. ”Don’t talk about the ultimate Kung Fu anymore. Coram was the strongest Kung Fu Master, however, I don’t think he can dodge bullets. Things have changed, Xiulin.”

Xiulin remained silent.

”You need to come back to the family because you’re an inheritor. If you spend too much time with your friends from the dojo, they’ll get into trouble. It’s just a small dojo that’s full of peasants. They won’t help you build your future, it’s just a waste of time. You survived the ambush because you had—”

”Shut up!”

*KA*

The glass in Xiulin’s hand cracked.

”They are important to me! Insulting them is the same as insulting me!” he said slowly.

”You can’t escape from us”—the man lowered his voice—”come back to us. You don’t want your friends to get hurt, right?”

*PA*

The communication ended.

Xiulin was still standing in front of a window. The water from the cracked glass slowly landed on his feet, but he did not notice anything.

　　*************************

Linhai City.

It was night. The dim light from the lamps illuminated the gray road.

Blue cars were traveling on the road at full speed under the night sky.

In one of the cars, Angele was looking at the blurry objects on the left side of the highway.

He supported his chin with the right arm and looked at the people sitting in front of him.

There were two young girls in the front seats.

One was Nian’s classmate, Huan. She was wearing a long black ponytail and had a pair of beautiful eyes. The other girl had clean and smooth skin, and her lips were nice and elastic. She was Zhou, also a classmate of Nian.

”Thank you. It’s great that you can take me with you. I really need to head to Xuyang,” Angele spoke in a light tone.

They were traveling at full speed, but the sound isolation of the car was great and the girls could easily hear his words.

Huan arranged her hair and asked in a low voice, ”It’s not a big problem. Do you have something urgent to deal with in Xuyang? Do you need our help? My family is from Xuyang.”

”Huan’s family is famous in Xuyang; she could help you with general things,” Zhou added.

Angele shook his head. ”It’s fine. I’m just going to pick up my relatives.”

He finished the sentence and stopped talking. He just looked at the objects passing by.

The atmosphere got a bit heavy in the car. The two girls knew that Angele did not want to talk, so they remained silent as well.

Angele sat in the seat and slowly closed his eyes. He started resting.

He had no idea how long had passed. Suddenly, a chilling feeling climbed up his spine.

He opened his eyes and looked to the right.

The sky was gray and the car was passing by a ruin that was covered with red stone pieces. It seemed like the ruin was a building before it collapsed. He could see some red runes on the remaining stone pillars.

Angele calmed down and asked, ”What’s that?”

The two girls were surprised by his question. Huan was driving; Zhou was woken up by these words. She checked the ruin and responded, ”It’s the Kalong Ruin… You don’t even know Kalong Ruin…? Seriously?”
