The Versatile Master Artist

Anna walked over one by one, extending her hand to shake hands with each shareholder of the magazine.

”Uh... Anyway, I still want to thank your family’s contribution to the development of Oil Painting magazine...”

Some experts showed an embarrassed expression on their faces.

However, the business world is like a battlefield.

More shareholders at this moment did not react in a gentlemanly way.

Their faces were indifferent, and some were even sarcastic, saying unpleasant things.

”Flattering me won’t work, I’m not going to change my support for the chairman’s decision.”

”Little girl, you don’t understand, Miss Ilina, don’t blame me for being blunt. If your aunt were still your proxy in the board seat, she would certainly make more shrewd decisions than a young person who doesn’t know how to adapt...”

”...”

Listening to a couple of sarcastic remarks, Secretary Eliot turned blue with anger, but Anna remained as if she heard nothing.

No matter how glaring the shareholders’ sneers were.

She greeted everyone with great politeness and praised each one’s academic achievements individually.

Even the proxy lawyer in the corner, Anna asked him to convey her regards to Mr. Sinek.

”It’s a bit late to build relationships now. At your age, young lady, you could go study a few more years, gain some life experience. Being locked up in the Ivory Tower all day is not beneficial to you.”

The fat old man Hellefi simply turned his head clearly.

He folded his arms, completely ignoring Anna’s outstretched hand.

At this point in time, trying to play the emotional card.

Should we call her naive?

Or call her foolish?

Courting embarrassment!

”Idiot! These Americans are so uncultured.”

Sir Brown looked at the scene before him, his mouth twitching, cursing secretly in his heart.

These old guys who sit in the office doing research every day, so many of them have less emotional intelligence than a little girl.

After the initial shock.

The Sir has now figured out the purpose behind Anna’s insistence on this warm face against cold buttocks behavior.

She’s not doing it for these people, nor is she trying to change the shareholder vote with a few greetings.

Miss Ilina’s spit-shining act is a show for all Oil Painting readers!

”Setting other things aside, she’s really smart. She has the demeanor of a female politician.”

For a media operation, public image is really important.

This pile of old men making things difficult for a pretty and polite young girl is indeed too disgraceful.

What Brown has done with sending the meeting records to every Oil Painting reader, even along with audio and video recordings besides arranging the secretaries, has only two purposes.

To bind all the shareholders to his ship.

And to sever the ties between the Ilyena family and the magazine, even separating Anna this young girl from the contributions the entire Ilyena family made in the past.

Deciding whether to approve Krug Bank’s involvement is just an item on the meeting agenda.

There are other proposals waiting, like dismissing Lady Yelena from the board for incompetence in management positions, citing misconduct and statements damaging the magazine’s public image in online video interviews.

Sir Brown has prepared a lot of stuff to corroborate in the public eye that the current Ilyena family is no longer suitable to govern this magazine.

And Anna, such a naive young girl, is even less deserving to be equated with her elders’ contributions.

It’s suddenly changed.

Originally, everyone united together to resist the Ilyena family’s tyranny, fight for the magazine’s independence and autonomy as the main theme.

What the scene before us looks to the public.

Must resemble several old men bullying a pitiful young girl.

It looks terrible!

Sir Brown set a trap for Anna.

As a result, she immediately began to show her vulnerable side in the public’s eye, soliciting sympathy.

Finding loopholes.

Quickly striking back.

This is not some vulnerable young girl.

It’s clearly a highly adaptable female powerhouse!

”Ahem, Lady Yelena, please return to your seat. Personally, I appreciate your affirmation of my academic achievements. As the chairman of the magazine, I have an obligation to lead this historically glorious media to the right path.”

Sir Brown could only slightly consider his wording: ”Just like Helafi shareholder just mentioned, this is not a personal vendetta. We just hope to make Oil Painting better.”

”Making an art magazine more commercialized and speculative is better?”

The girl tilted her head towards the camera in the conference room.

”I prefer calling it making the magazine younger, catering to modern trends. Besides, I’ll say it again, this is not the occasion to discuss this matter.”

The chairman impatiently interrupted Anna’s speech: ”Now the important thing is to vote on whether to agree to bring Krug Brothers Bank as a major shareholder. Director Ilina, you have the right to cast your opposing vote. At the same time, we also have the right to halt the Ilyena family’s one-man-style dominion.”

”If it were really a one-man show, how could there be this acquisition vote? Under the new equity structure, just the combined shares of Krug Bank and Chairman Brown you represent surpass sixty percent of all shares. On the contrary, that’s the true one-man show.”
