Chapter 770: Chiselled to death

Patrice released another deadly ray as her voiced faded. Simultaneously, Sheyan pulled out ’Ambition’.

The sounds of the swooshing tide reverberated through the place as Sheyan activated ’Rum & Songs’ and fired at Patrice.

A lethal lead bullet pierced into her developed chest and pushed her slightly back, however.....she actually resisted the stunning effect of ’Ambition’! This was the awkward scenario where stronger Growth-Hunters may possess equipments that negate stunning effects.

Fortunately, Patrice released her ’High-Frequency Sliceray’ at the same time she was shot, causing the deadly sliceray to deviate and strike against a wall before noiselessly diffusing into the wall. A water pipe behind the wall was then struck and sprayed out large volumes of water.

Within a range of approximately 20 meters, her ’High-Frequency Sliceray’ could negate 50% of defence. In addition to its lethal damage, it was truly a problem for Sheyan.

Before she could streak out another ’High-Frequency Sliceray’, Sheyan hurled out a ’Curse-Mix’ which smashed out a 1.5 seconds stun in her face.

He then raised ’+7 West’ as the blue currents of ’Zergling Rush’ rapidly jolted through his body.

Muffled groans leaked out amidst splashes of blood.

In fact, Patrice had belittled his outrageous dark-blue grade weapon. She didn’t anticipate it would possess such terrifying damage and even executed in three rapid slashes.

Still, an incredibly sharp glow sparkled out from Patrice’s finger cot.

All of a sudden, the phantom of an Alaskan Bald Eagle appeared behind her back, where that incredibly sharp glow represented the dreadful beak of the phantasmic eagle!

In a flash, the eagle flapped its wings and drilled through Sheyan.

In that instant, Sheyan’s HP plunged to a critical 20% state, yet more crucially, Reef wasn’t present in this world which represented the impossibility of ’Life-link’.

Reflecting on that, Sheyan immediately activated an item he acquired in the Avatar world – ’Na`vi’s secret herb’. Following that, he endured the pain and continued chopping away viciously.

You’re fierce, but I’ll be fiercer than you!

You’re deadly, then I’ll be deadlier than you!

The brave triumphs in a head-on battle on a narrow path!

Sheyan didn’t believe an agile type growth-Hunter could trade blows for blows with an MT. This wasn’t purely about guts but a battle custom; just like how a thief type wouldn’t clash head on with a berserker in WoW.

In spite of that, Sheyan’s conjecture was wrong again. After a short 5-6 seconds of slashing his saber twice, Patrice unexpectedly unloaded a barrage of frighteningly devastating damage; leaving Sheyan riddled in wounds as though he was condemned to death by cuts.

Wherever she injured resulted in a searing spicy pain that felt like a razor was endlessly scraping.

This woman actually possessed a supporting ability that bolstered her attack speed and damage, and seemed as though she possessed no fear in a bitter war of attrition!

Water continued spraying out of the nearby wall and quickly washed away the blood staining Sheyan’s body, which exposed his white ghastly wounds. Yet a second later, Patrice’s fingernails clawed off another chunk of flesh from those wounds.

Sheyan slashed frantically with his saber, as filthy sordid water splashed against both their faces. He panted heavily as a suffocating sensation welled up in his heart.

Moments later, a dull greenish radiance emanated out from Patrice who was covered in fresh wounds. That was the indication of medicine consumption, where one could clearly observe her wounds rapidly regenerating. Her tattered and ripped skin tight attire revealed her voluptuous figure, and granted a certain erotic charm to her.

”You’re not the only one with an exceptional healing medicine.” Patrice sneered. ”I too have one! I said I will mince you flesh by flesh, I will surely accomplish it.”

Sheyan lifted his head as blood streamed down his brows to worsen his miserable appearance. Nevertheless, his eyes remained feverish and firm, like an unwavering mountain peak that couldn’t be toppled!

”Let’s see who will be the first to flee like a pathetic dog, which will surely be you!”

The two chiseled away crazily at each other like two primitive wild beasts, clawing and slashing away chunks of flesh.

Right now, Sheyan’s HP was declining much faster than Patrice and had fallen to below 50%. Instead, Patrice, who recently consumed a regenerative medicine, still had over 80% HP.

Despite so, Sheyan resolutely pressed on.

Suddenly, Patrice felt an annoyingly intense headache before consecutively unleashing an ability called ’Melodious Shadowcuts ’, which would deal an extra 110% weapon damage to the enemy. She immediately received an abrupt announcement of a amplified mana exhaustion.

Her heart instantly tightened. The reason she could maintain such a high rate of attack, was due to the incredibly short cooldown of this ’Melodious Shadowcuts’. Moreover, she was sustaining her attack power with another remarkable ability as well.

However, at the splitting moment of that headache, the MP required to execute her ’Melodious Shadowcuts’ was suddenly doubled!

After all, she was an agility type contestant, and though her mana pool was adequate, it definitely wasn’t abundant.

After consuming medicine to regenerate her vitality, the next concern would naturally be wastage of MP. If she persisted in using the ’Melodious Shadowcuts’, her MP may be utterly drained during this period of headache.

Hence, Patrice could only halt this signature move of hers.

Sensing that her offense had slackened, Sheyan revealed a sly smile.

As expected, just a mere 5-6 seconds later, her headache dissipated but Patrice strangely felt her throat itching. Unable to contain the itch, it spiralled into a fit of violent coughs.

Seizing this moment, Sheyan slashed horizontally through with ’+7 West’ without sparing any effort, leaving behind a long mutilated wound across her snow white belly. Then, he followed up with an upper-cut slash that sent her flying away.

After crashing to the ground, Patrice recovered from coughing. Her eyes were bloodshot as she screamed and charged forward.

Instead, Sheyan retreated several steps into the poison fog of his ’Curse-Mix’. At present, he no longer feared Patrice releasing any ’High-Frequency Slicerays’ at Zi. If that happened, he would just block it head on.

As it turns out, Sheyan had long estimated this – the ’High-Frequency Sliceray’ dealt excellent damage and even negated some defence, yet it possessed an extremely low cooldown...adding these three points together, one could say it was a heaven-defying skill. If its mana consumption was equally low...congratulations, that would minimally be an ’S’ rank ability, either that or a supremely high rank ability.

If Patrice possessed such a formidable ’S’ rank ability, would she still be a mere ordinary member of Skull Party?

Indeed, through this brief duel, Sheyan discovered the greatest flaw of this Growth-Hunter.

Her weapon appeared ordinary, at best a silver storyline grade weapon or perhaps a black grade weapon. Its attack power should be easily curbed by Sheyan’s innate ability. Therefore, she was very likely attacking with active abilities...….this signified that MP would become a massive issue; a shortcoming in a war of attrition.

Observing Sheyan retreating into a fog of movement speed reduction, Patrice’s eyes burnt furiously and charged in without caring much. At present, she could roughly estimate his HP to be 29%, why wouldn’t she pursue?

Relying on the 25% movement speed reduction, Sheyan proceeded to prioritize defending as his HP drained slower.

Indeed, he was awaiting the next round of symptoms of his ’Influenza lvlmax’ ability. There was a possibility this would perverse ability proc in every 10 seconds.

Of course, don’t forget his ’Bronchitis’ ability as well, where symptoms may occur every 25 seconds. Moreover, there was a 10% chance for the violent coughing effect to proc, when the negative effects of ’Influenza’ (sneeze, shiver, headache) occurs.

Thus, when Sheyan’s HP plunged to 18%, Patrice’s MP was finally fully exhausted...causing her next strike to be an ordinary offensive damage.

Sheyan wasn’t in a hurry to end this battle, intending to employ the treacherous effects of his ’Influenza’ ability to torment her.

Eventually, when his health fell to 13%, he stabbed his saber mercilessly through Patrice’s womb; blood gushed out as she fell into near-death state.

Patrice clutched the blade of ’+7 West’ with both hands as she stared at Sheyan with a pair of venomous eyes; as though wanting to commit his aura into memory.

Then, she unexpectedly and viciously pulled the saber in and committed suicide!
