The System Arrives: Leading My Clan to Become the Strongest

58: Chapter 58 Granting the Elixir ManualIf the Clan Chief hadn’t allowed them to enter the Immortal Cave for seclusion, and if the Clan Chief hadn’t been so generous with his support of Medicinal Pills, how could they have broken through to such a Realm in such a short time?

”Good. Now you are only one step away from Foundation Establishment, and I have prepared that step for you.”

After Jiang Chen spoke, he waved his hand, and ten foundation establishment pills floated before him before flying toward the ten individuals.

The ten people caught them. Looking at the shocking Spiritual Qi contained within the pills, they knew that these pills were priceless.

”These are foundation establishment pills. Next, continue your seclusion and break through to Foundation Establishment. Whoever breaks through first will be given an Opportunity by me.”

Jiang Chen looked at the ten of them and said slowly.

”Alright, if there’s nothing else, you may leave. You’ve been in seclusion for so long and haven’t seen your families in a while. I’ll allow you to rest for a few days, then return to seclusion as soon as possible to achieve your Breakthrough.”

”Thank you, Clan Chief.”

The ten people bowed to Jiang Chen once more and then filed out of the great hall.

Leaving the hall, the ten people scattered like birds; some returned to their own courtyards, while others headed toward the foot of the mountain.

After coming out of seclusion, they also learned that their families had all been brought over and were now establishing a village at the foot of Qingyun Mountain.

They hadn’t seen their families since leaving Tianlin City. For them, this was something they had been looking forward to immensely.

Jiang Chen knew that these people were very young and still valued Family ties highly. He believed that even as cultivators, Family affection was an inseparable part of life, so he gave them time instead of immediately making them return to seclusion to Cultivate.

As they left, only Jiang Chen and the group of Elders remained in the hall.

Jiang Chen looked at the Elders. Although they had been busy lately, their cultivation hadn’t fallen behind. The Grand Elder had reached the fourth level of Foundation Establishment, the Second Elder reached the fifth level, the Third Elder and Fourth Elder were both at the fourth level, and the Fifth Elder, perhaps with divine help during this time, had directly broken through to the sixth level of Foundation Establishment.

One must remember that the Fifth Elder had broken through to Foundation Establishment from the Qi Refining Twelfth Layer, giving him the strength of the Foundation Establishment Middle Stage right after his Breakthrough. Now at the sixth level of Foundation Establishment, he wouldn’t fear a battle even against someone at Peak Foundation Establishment.

”Grand Elder, how are those Clan Members who passed the tests doing now?”

Jiang Chen asked, looking at the Grand Elder.

”Reporting to the Clan Chief, of those 130 people, over a hundred have already broken through to the first level of Qi Refining. The remaining twenty or so should also break through in the next couple of days. It’s just that our Jiang Family’s resources are currently insufficient; it will be difficult for them to continue breaking through this quickly in the future.”

Thinking of the 130-plus Clan Members who were capable of Cultivating, Jiang Xuanting felt a pang of heartache.

Those resources could have helped the previous Clan Members break through as well. Now, having distributed them to these new cultivators, although they had all reached the first level of Qi Refining, it wasn’t of much use to the current Jiang Family.

What the Jiang Family lacked most right now wasn’t Early Stage combat power, but Middle Stage power—specifically, the Late Stage of Qi Refining and the Foundation Establishment Realm.

As the Qingyun Market opened and became known to more people, powerful experts would eventually arrive. If the Jiang Family didn’t have enough deterrent strength, establishing their Family here would be a joke.

Of course, with Jiang Chen overseeing things, they weren’t afraid, but they couldn’t have the Clan Chief handle everything; otherwise, it would make them look incompetent.

Seeing the look of heartache and resentment on the Grand Elder’s face, Jiang Chen felt a sudden chill.

”Alright, alright. It’s just resources. Use them as you please; if it’s not enough, just let me know.”

After speaking, Jiang Chen took out a Storage Pouch and waved his hand to send it into the Grand Elder’s hand.

During this time, he had obtained many Medicinal Pills suitable for the Early Stage of Qi Refining through his daily check-ins, and Jiang Chen had stuffed them all into the Storage Pouch.

Taking the Storage Pouch Jiang Chen handed him, Jiang Xuanting swept it with his Divine Sense and was instantly stunned.

It was too much. In his eyes, the Storage Pouch was filled with qi gathering pills, Qi Condensation pills, and the like, all suitable for the Early Stage of Qi Refining.

”Thank you, Clan Chief.”

Holding the Storage Pouch, Jiang Xuanting carefully stowed it away, his previous resentment vanishing instantly.

As the Grand Elder, the increase in the Family’s cultivating personnel and the lack of resources had caused his hair to turn even whiter from worry.

Now, it was once again the ’Clan Chief is truly reliable’ law.

”Second Elder, how is the land reclamation progressing?”

Jiang Chen turned to Jiang Liejun and asked.

”Clan Chief, we are already expanding outward. With the addition of those Hunters, our range will double in just a bit more time.”

Jiang Liejun said confidently. More and more Hunters were coming here now. Although it might reduce their direct gains, as the Clan Chief said, whatever they earned would eventually be spent back at the Qingyun Market. It saved them trouble, and in the end, the Jiang Family gained the most.

Thinking of this, he looked at Jiang Chen with immense admiration. Why hadn’t he noticed before that this Clan Chief had such Genius ideas?

”Good. Take it slow, there’s no rush. The deeper you go, the more dangerous it becomes. Don’t be too eager for quick results, or even I won’t be able to rescue you in time. Try to let those Hunters scout the way first. Our Jiang Family Clansmen are still too few; losing even one is a major loss. Remember that.”

Jiang Chen warned Jiang Liejun, fearing that Jiang Xuanting would get hot-headed and lead the Clan Members into the Deep part of the Great Wilderness.

Within a hundred-mile radius, he could rescue them quickly. But beyond that, it would be difficult because his Divine Sense couldn’t cover it, making it too late for a rescue.

”Yes, I understand.”

Jiang Liejun said solemnly.

”Guest Elder Ling, how are things on your end?”

Jiang Chen asked, looking at Ling Xuanye.

”Clan Chief, some of the new Clan Members have joined the Pill Refining Pavilion. I’ve found two promising talents among them lately. I’m currently having them familiarize themselves with pharmacology. Once they’ve mastered it, I can teach them to practice Alchemy. Also, I’ve successfully refined second-tier True Essence Pills over the past two days, and we now have 30 of them.”

Ling Xuanye said.

”Good, thank you for your hard work. By the way, this is a pill canon I obtained by chance. Take it and study it. I only have one requirement: improve your Alchemy skills as quickly as possible and train more alchemists for the clan.”

After Jiang Chen finished speaking, the pill canon sped toward Ling Xuanye.

From his observations during this time, Jiang Chen felt that Ling Xuanye was quite good and very dedicated. Therefore, he didn’t plan to keep hiding things and gave the pill canon to him directly.

Of course, this was mainly because his own strength gave him confidence. As long as he was around, even if Ling Xuanye had any ulterior motives, he was confident he could suppress him.

Taking the pill canon Jiang Chen sent over, Ling Xuanye flipped through it casually.

Then, he was struck with awe. This pill canon not only recorded the refining methods for over a hundred types of first to third-tier pills but also documented the descriptions, medicinal properties (cold, hot, warm, cool, neutral), growth environments, and harvest seasons for 360 common basic medicinal herbs.

It even contained several Fire Control Methods. Ling Xuanye believed that as long as he memorized the steps and learned the Fire Control Methods within, his Alchemy success rate would at least double.
