The Quantum Wanderer

We registered in Hikari inn. After Akiko registered us, we accompanied her to our room, she showed us in and gave us the key.

“Do you girls want to get anything from Frolk?”

“We should at least bring our noble clothing.”

I opened the portal to my room, and the girls went in to pick up their stuff.  After sometime, they come out.  I portal myself to the underground dismantling, and I cut a piece of meat for the next 2 meals, around 130 pounds.  I prefer to err on the abundance side a little bit.  I also grab a couple of kegs of ale and wine, and put it all inside my magic bag.  I head out to the front desk, to talk with Hikari and Akiko.

“Hi, honored guest, what is all that meat?”

“Can we go to the kitchen, please?  We can talk there.”

We go to the kitchen.

“Well, my family eats a lot.  This is just a tad above two meals.”

They look at me, not quite believing it.  I probably wouldn’t believe also, if I hadn’t seen that.

“Some of the ladies can really eat.  So believe me, this is around two meals.  You are still going to get to know us, but Cecilia, Siratra, and myself consume a normal amount of meat.  They like it medium, and I like medium rare.  Opal, Aquamarine, Ruby and Shandon will eat, each, some 15 pounds of meat in a meal.  They prefer it well done.  I would have a slice for each of my crows, each time.

“You can have some of that steak, there is a tad more than what we are going to consume.  However, don’t eat more than a quarter of a pound in a meal.  You will get a hangover the next day.  And here you have one keg of fruity wine, and one keg of ale.”

“What meat is this, honored guest?”

“I am an adventurer, so it is something that I hunted.  Don’t worry about it.  You don’t have to eat it if you don’t feel like it.”

“It’s not illegal, is it?”

“Is there such a thing as an illegal kind of meat?”

…

“No, I am really asking this…  Anyway, it shouldn’t be.  There is no law I am aware of, in the kingdom, that would forbid the consumption of this.  It’s just…  Hunted meat.”

I tapped my guild tag.  I was wearing the mithril one.

“And here, I am going to advance a gold coin, so that you can get seasoning, or whatever else is needed for the meal.  We are all basically carnivores, though.”

We relaxed a little bit in the room, Cecilia undressed and started washing herself to dip in the hot spring.  Opal was going in, but got interrupted by Cecilia.

“Wait, we are supposed to wash first.  This water is going to be shared.  We enter to relax, not to clean.  We clean on the outside first.”

I could see by Opal’s expression that she preferred the one close to the volcano.  The girls wash themselves, this circle of back washing.  I join them, and they all wash me.  This is so good.

After we rinse, Cecilia is the first one to dip.

“Ahhh…  This is sooo good…”

Then I go in, and sit close to her.  Next turn is Opal’s.  I can see that she is unimpressed by the water temperature.  Then Shandon and Siratra.  Siratra sits between my legs.  Ruby bomb jumps.  Water everywhere.  Then Aquamarine actually sits on the outside, only her lower legs are inside the water, around me.  She starts massaging my shoulders.

I start to relax, remembering everything that happened up to now…  But I remember it as if it were a movie, not something that happened to me.  Everything was so crazy.  So much stuff in so little time.  My life in Rio de Janeiro, my mom and dad…  I missed them, who wouldn’t?  At least now I had certainty on reincarnation, this was such a huge step in terms of accepting the loss of people.  My childhood, my inclination towards math.

I had a lot of friends at school that said that I was just a teacher’s pet, with my good grades over math, physics, chemistry.  But those just happened because I actually enjoyed doing the exercises.  They were like puzzles that I could solve, and have some fun.  They didn’t understand that the talent I had in math was that I used to enjoy doing stuff, so I spent more hours playing with it.  If anyone studied math for that amount of time, he or she would probably be good with it as well.  The talent was about not complaining on the time spent, rather than some mystical way the brain had to just have the solutions pop.

My high school, quite normal.  Then my college, where I chose physics because I liked it.  It just made sense.  My nerd friends in college.  It was a lot easier to find nerd friends in physics college than high school.

Than my death and my summoning here.  My time in the dungeons, the lack of power, the lack of control on the situation.  Andrew…  The hunts, the ever evolving…  Now the girls…

Ruby shakes me awake.

“The dinner is getting served, my lord, let’s eat.”

Cecilia laughed.  She puts her head down, the tongue out.

“Man, you were like this…  And drooling.”

Opal came to the rescue.

“Even so, my lord was still dignified.”

I laughed, and I pulled Aquamarine for a kiss.

“Thanks for the massage.”

She is beet red, looking to the floor. We sit down, and we basically have the restaurant to ourselves. The food smells delicious. Of course, dragon meat is always delicious, but they have seasoned it, giving it a different flavor. And not the spicy taste that is used in the demon empire, something lighter. They also have some rice balls and soy sauce. I can even see the hashi by the side of the plate. The meat is cut into small cubes, with a lot of well-done steak, and then it gets lighter and lighter until it reaches my medium rare. The table preparation is simple but beautiful.

Cecilia stares at me. I use the hashi as I would if I were in a Japanese restaurant on Earth. They all incline their heads and take a look. Cecilia tries and fails. I call Akiko to check.

”Akiko, do you have anything that can be used by people who are not proficient with this?”

”Just a minute, honored guest.”

She brings out several pairs of very small wood tongs. Now everyone can eat without having to use their hands.

I can see Akiko’s and Hikari’s eyes bulging while the dragonesses are eating that huge amount of meat. I eat some rice too; it is seasoned Japanese style. If I had to guess, some prior Japanese hero may have left this culture behind.

We all actually eat our fill and go back to the room. The girls are talking about the different tastes available, the rice. They do taste the rice, but the dragonesses don’t like it. Siratra doesn’t mind, but she says that having anything other than dragon meat would be just wasteful. Cecilia enjoys a little, but I think the taste does not grow on her, particularly because we are all used to something so off the charts.

I lay down, the bed is actually very comfortable.

The first rays of dawn painted the massive bed in gold, the sea of bodies entangled.

Shandon stretched like a predator, her bare back arching as she turned to face me, her golden eyes half-lidded. “Good morning, my lord,” she purred, her fingers tracing slow circles over my chest. “Did you rest well… or would you prefer our kind of wake-up call?”

Before I could answer, Ruby lunged across the bed, her crimson hair a wildfire against the sheets as she pinned my wrists. “No thinking,” she demanded, grinding her slick pussy against my thigh. “Just fucking.” Her teeth grazed my neck. “Please.”

Opal, ever the elegant overseer, reclined against the pillows, her silver hair fanned out like a crown. “Ruby,” she chided, though her fingers were already toying with her own nipples. “A lord deserves proper worship. Not this… impatience.”

Aquamarine, usually so quiet, surprised me—her shy hands slid under the sheets, wrapping around my cock with a shaky exhale. “M-my lord,” she whispered, her cheeks flushing as she stroked me to full hardness, “Cecilia has… plans for you.”

Cecilia’s giggle was pure sin as she crawled up the bed, her ass swaying, her fingers still glistening from where she’d been touching herself. “My villain,” she cooed, pressing her chest against mine, “you know what I want.” Her lips brushed my ear. “Ruin me first.”

Siratra materialized at the foot of the bed, her chains whispering against the floor. “Shall I prepare her, master?” she murmured, already slicking her fingers with oil.

“Yes,” I growled, flipping Cecilia onto her back and dragging her to the edge of the bed. Her legs hooked over my shoulders, her ass raised, her hole begging for attention. Siratra’s fingers worked her open, fast and ruthless, while Ruby moaned into my ear, her hand sneaking down to rub her clit as she watched.

Shandon seized the moment, straddling my face, her thighs squeezing my head. “Eat me,” she ordered, grinding her pussy against my mouth. “While you fuck her.”

Opal’s cool fingers wrapped around my cock, guiding me to Cecilia’s ass. “Slow,” she commanded, her voice a velvet whip. “Make her feel it.”

Cecilia’s scream as I pushed inside was obscene—a symphony of pleasure-pain that made Aquamarine whimper and Ruby’s fingers fly faster between her legs. “FUCK!” Cecilia sobbed, her nails raking the sheets. “Deeper!”

Siratra’s tongue joined the fray, lapping at Cecilia’s clit as I pistoned into her ass, each thrust making her shake. “Master,” the demoness panted, her red eyes glowing, “shall I taste Shandon next?”

Aquamarine, emboldened, crawled forward, her shyness incinerated by lust. She pressed her tits against my back, her fingers digging into my hips. “C-Cum inside her,” she begged, “then claim me…”

Ruby, unable to wait, slammed her pussy onto Opal’s face with a cry, her back arching. “Fuck—YES!”

The bed was a battlefield of moans—Shandon’s thighs trembled around my head, Cecilia’s ass clenched around me, Ruby’s hips jerked against Opal’s tongue, Aquamarine’s nails scored my skin, and Siratra watched it all, her hands busy between her own legs.

When I came, filling Cecilia to the brim, her scream of “MINE!” was swallowed by Shandon’s kiss.

As we go into the dining room, our breakfast is getting laid out.  Now Akiko and Hikari know that I wasn’t joking about the amount of food.  I also had told them to not get too crazy on the rice, it is not something we are going to eat a lot.  They still placed a small portion for us.

After we are done eating we stay a little on the table, chatting.  I invite Akiko and Hikari to chat a little, specially since we are the only ones in the restaurant part of the inn.  After some pleasantries, during which we are talking about Muninn and Huginn, I take a sip of juice.

“Akiko, can I be honest about a very harsh truth?”

“Yes.”

“You do realize that we may be your last guests here, right?”

She sighs, sadness settling in a little bit.

“Yes, honored guest.  Things have been…  Challenging, to say the least.  The Dragon Group has monopoly on the meat inside the noble’s district.  It has been… complicated.”

“You obviously thought of that before, but what is the problem with the guards?  How does it work around here, a neutral country?”

“Our system is a weird one, honored guest.  The soldiers are here to keep the order, not to fight wars.  They come in from the Three Greats, the Holy Kingdom, the Empire, and Arthuria.  To keep some of the local power, there is a court, that is comprised of three ‘Justices’.  Each seat belong to a different nation.  When a justice retires or dies, then the next occupant to that seat is appointed by that nation, but based on a list of candidates selected by the other 2 justices. Generally, this list has 3 options.

“The law is dictated by the Three Greats, it generally is not that complicated.

“The Dragon Group was a normal, small merchant group, until it placed one of the justice’s son as a partner.  Then the prices just skyrocketed.  It is said that he also has a participation in the ‘Gold Fountain’ inn.”

“I may be able to pull out a favor with the guild, and get you an escort to another town, that you might start over.  It’s not much, but isn’t it better than being harassed this bad?  You could probably do well in the Empire, for instance.  I think that is the best place to have a business right now.”

“I don’t know.  We have been here for a long time, this is our…  child.”

“Cecilia, do you think I could leave a letter of recommendation with them?  Would it work?”

“It most probably would.  Akiko, do you have wax there?”

“Yes.”

“Bring it out, please.  And some pen and paper.”

She gets all that.  I write ‘Akido and Hikari are two nice people, in a bad place.  If possible, please help them getting a cheap escort to the destination they should want.  Perhaps taking a ride in a escort that might already happen.  If needed be, get in touch with me, I may cover part of the cost.  Marcelo.’

I show the letter to Cecilia, and she seems ok with it.  She folds the letter on to itself, seals it with the wax, and I hand her my mithril tag, that she uses on top of the molten wax.  She hands them the letter.

“Please don’t open it, otherwise it will loose its value.”

She turns to me.

“Next time, you know…  You can use the guild tag to seal a letter.  The guild has ways of checking the adventurer that sent the letter.”

I see that Akiko and Hikari are both sad.

“I am sorry for talking about something so unpleasant.”

“Don’t worry, honored guest, this is our problem.  If anything, we appreciate your patronage as well as the pieces of meat.  They are superb.  I don’t think I ever tasted something like that.”

“It’s ok.  Don’t worry about that.”

We leave the inn, and we walk around the huge noble district.  They even have a little lake, on which one can rent a rowing boat, and spend some time with their girl.  Cecilia pulled me to that, and so I rowed.  The girls split into 3 doubles.

The first double I took on was Cecilia and Siratra.  Siratra was looking at everything.  I could tell that she was trying to calculate how much water there was in that lake.  She was scared for she could not swim.  Cecilia was enjoying our almost alone time, I think she misses the more romantic, one on one, encounters.  I have to remember of doing that more often.

The second double was Shandon and Opal.  Shandon wanted to row, she said that this task would be beneath me, but I refused, obviously.  Opal was the curious one.

“What are we doing?”

“Well, this is sort of a mating ritual for humans.  The females choose the males, so this is a form of showing appreciation.”

“But don’t you already have us?  What is the point?”

“To show you that you are valuable to me.  I really love each one of you.”

Both of them blushed.  Considering their white skin, their shiny white hair, and sister like appearances, they looked very pretty.

The last double was Ruby and Aquamarine.  Aquamarine stayed down, just looking at me, while I looked at her.  Ruby was moving around in the boat, trying to look for a fish or something.  She just couldn’t stay put.

Once we were all done, I kissed each one of them on the lips.  I have to remember to go on dates with them later on.  Perhaps this week is a good chance.

And what do you know, it is about time to go back to the inn, the day is already gone.  It’s amazing how time goes fast on days like this.

We get to the inn, we had dinner and drinks, and relaxed in our private hot spring.

The following days, I organized with Cecilia that I would have two one on one dates with each girl in each day.  I would go out with one in the morning, and then one in the afternoon.

Cecilia wanted to go to places where she could see the whole town, the lake.  Places that she could see the beauty of this town.  Shandon walked with me with arms linked, but in a casual way.  Opal had our arms linked, but in a more stern, dignified way.  Ruby was all over the place.  And Aquamarine said she felt shy in front of so much people around the city, so we went to this garden, and when we went in a better hidden spot in it, she just jumped me.  I can’t say I regret.  Siratra was actually happy with a lesson on calculating the area of a circle, and then using that to calculate the volume.

The next day, we all left together in the morning.  We had agreed that we had already seen most of what this city had to offer.  We still had other places to visit, and with the amount of money that we were spending, I was thinking of making a platinum coin or two on the guild.  A couple of fenrirs might do the trick.  I entered the forest, and did my search.  We had to go deep, but I carried Cecilia, and Aquamarine carried Siratra.  It was the first time we went hunting together.  Fenrirs were not that much of a challenge anymore, though.  The girls were in their armors and sword we had bought, and Shandon killed one, stabbing on the head, all way to the handle of the sword.  Ruby killed the second, actually punching it on the head.  Cecilia was watching, her eyes were bulging.  I giggled a little.

“You do realize they don’t eat that much for nothing, right?  They are my dear dragonesses…”

We sell the carcasses at the gild, and go back to our inn.  As we are entering, I see that the meat is being prepped.  This is strange, it is not dinner time yet, and Akiko and Hikari have always respected the time.  I get close to the kitchen, and I hear Akiko.

“Please, lord, don’t do this.  This meat is not ours.  Our guest brought it in…  Please…”

“Shut up, bitch.”

I hear a noise that I don’t quite like.  I gesture to the girls, to accompany me.  When we get to the kitchen, we see this scene that rubs me the wrong way.  There is this young adult, he is frying our meat on a pan.  Akiko and Hikari are cowering in a corner.  There are two guards maintaining them in place, with their swords drawn.

The kid takes a look at us.

“Take a hike.  I am not done with my meal.”

I kick the kids leg, he falls down, the pan falls on the floor, then I knock him out.  I let the guards come to attack me, they are so slow.  I hold each of them by their necks.

“Girls, do me a favor, take Akiko and Hikari to our room, and you all stay there a minute?”

The guards are hitting me with their swords, but are not really able to do anything to the leather armor reinforced with neutron crystals.  And when they try the gaps, the sword hits my skin.

The girls take the inn maidens out.  Once I see they are out of sight, I open a portal to the beach in Drakonia.

I kick the boy into it, and then I jump in with the guards in my hands.

We get to the other side, the guards land on their butts.  They are massaging their necks.  One of them actually tries to get up and attack me.  I let him hit me on my unprotected head, so that they can understand what is going on.  The sword bounces off, and it ends up out of the guard’s hand.  It doesn’t even hurt.

The second one is terrified.  He kowtows in front of me, and starts screaming, half crying.

“I am sorry, milord.  We had no idea.  We were only following orders.”

“Huh.  Whose orders?”

“The captain, milord.”

“Did your captain tell you to go terrorize two women working on a failing in?”

I put some mana into a war cry.

“ANSWER NOW!!!!”

The guard is shaking.

“N-No, mi-lord, tho-se were his-s order-ss.”

“Oh, so you were obeying his orders?”

“Yes, milord.”

“Ok.  Hold on that thought.  AND DON’T FUCKING MOVE!!!”

I turn to the other soldier.

“Tell me exactly how was your day, from the moment you put your guard armor on.  And don’t leave anything out.”

“I got to the guard station, and our captain summoned us.  He told us to follow him, we were supposed to be his detail today.  Then we went to the justice’s house, and waited outside.  Then he came out, and we followed him.  He went into that inn, and entered the kitchen.  He saw the meat, and told us to ‘keep those bitches straight’.  After a couple of minutes, you arrived.”

“Huh.  Interesting.”

I woke up the guy with some healing.

“WHAT THE FUCK????  MY FATHER IS GONNA HAVE YOU DEAD FOR THIS!!!  YOU ARE FUCKED!!!!”

Then he looked at the guards.

“KILL HIM!!!  NOW!!!”

The guards did not move.  The one kowtowing was still shaking.  I just slapped the guy.  He fell down, with a hand on this cheek.  I grabbed his hand, and broke the bones.  He yelled in pain.

“Now that we understand each other, tell me a couple of things.  The thing with controlling the inns is actually ingenous.  Are you doing that alone?  Or is your father in on it?  Are you able to negotiate?”

I could see the cogs turning in his head.  He is trying to think what to say.  I pay a lot of attention, checking whether he is lying or not.

“Heh.  My father considered this scraps.  He didn’t have my vision.  But with your strength…”

“Hoh?  Then he did not know where you were today…?”

I could see that he realized that he had messed up.  Sweat started to pour down his face.

“My father knows everything I do.  He is going to hire mercenaries and hunt you down.”

The first part, a lie.  The second one, he actually believed that.  I grabbed the guy by the hair, and put his head forward, pointing to the guards.

“Now, here is the thing.  I am really, really angry, and it is very hard to be fair in these situations.  I mean, right now I have to try to be just.  So, you are going to order that guard to gouge his eyes out with his fingers.  If you don’t, I will gouge your eyes out.”

I start moving my hand towards his head.  He tries to push it away with his arm and his good hand, but my strength is much superior.  The guards are just flabbergasted.  One still on his knees, and the one that was kowtowing has raised his head and is looking at this crazy spectacle.

When I have my hand close, he closes his eyes.  When I touch his eyelids, he screams.

“WAIT!!!  SCOTT, I ORDER YOU!  GOUGE YOUR EYES OUT!!! PLE-E-AAASEEE…”

And he starts crying. Now, the guard that was kowtowing, Scott, I guess, is sitting on his feet.  He doesn’t move.  I drop the guy on the sand.  He is ugly crying now, mucus coming out of his nose.  He is a mess.

I go to the guard.

“You didn’t follow the order.”

“B-ut I cccan’t follow th-a-at order…”

“I see.  You can only follow orders when they are against the weak.”

I couldn’t be more disgusted.  I sigh, and then I notice a point in the air.  It comes down, and lands in front of us.  It is a dragon, and by the size, it is an elder.

“Troggar salutes the soul devourer.”

He assumes the submission position.  I come over, I got curious.

“At ease.  Wasn’t it soul eater?”

“Oh, my lord!  Soul devourer is a much better translation to my lord’s name!”

I hear the guard that is kneeling down murmur.

“Is this a nightmare?  Am I going to wake?”

I don’t pay attention.  I continue my talk with Troggar.

“Why are there so many names ending in ar?”

“When we rise to elder status, we change our names, my lord.  Ar is the draconian designation of elder.”

“Hum…  I should have stayed sometime around.  Are the hunting grounds fruitful?  Have you guys had any trouble with the other clans?”

“The hunting grounds are better than ever, my lord.  Your clan has not had any issues, my lord.  We are deemed untouchable, because of my lord.  But, if my lord allows, what is my lord doing?”

“I apparently brought some garbage to your shores.  I will be leaving in a bit, you can dispose of it however you see fit.”

I kneel down, and I rip the guy’s shirt.  I check to see if there are any names, anything special on it.  I put the shirt that is dripping with sweat in my magic bag, so that the smell doesn’t spread.

I open a portal to the inn’s kitchen, and jump through.  I look at it as I am about to close it, and I can see Troggar getting close to those guys.

I turn my stealth on, and I do a long range sense.  Hum, I see that there is a group of people that are having food in a restaurant, with higher than average guards.  The guards’ levels are in the 40’s.  They have the restaurant just for themselves.  Perfect.  I get to the street, I am close enough, and I throw the shirt though the window, and leave before anyone is the wiser.

I go back to the inn, and I wash my armor, and the small amount of blood from the guy, when I broke his nose.  I go to my room.

Akiko and Hikari are still recovering, and Cecilia and Siratra are helping them.  The dragonesses are just watching the scene.  They notice me, and Cecilia asks.

“Is everything alright?”

“Yup, we talked, we crossed the t’s and dotted the i’s.  You should not have a problem with them in the future.  But I would avoid saying that they were here, you know how those things are.”

Akiko nodded.  Hikari looked at her hands.  They started to get calmer.

“But I would still go to a better place.  If not the empire, some other city like this one.”

“We will think about it, honored guest.”

The two slowly stand up, and leave the room.  This is good, I am needing a bath.
