The Programmer Cultivator

Chapter 721: Chapter 151: Opening

“So, the Celestial Spirit Sect’s Array Department is truly innovative!”

“Yeah, from yesterday’s projections to today’s Illusion Array, everything showcases the forward-thinking expertise of the Celestial Spirit Sect’s Array Cultivators.”

“Whatever the case, I just think it’s fucking awesome!”

“Yeah, I really want to become an Upper Sect Disciple.”

“…”

For a brief moment, countless discussions erupted in the guest area. But the chatter only lasted for a moment before the voices gradually died down.

A strange melody began to play from the Jade Plaza. The music struck a chord in everyone’s soul, causing them to subconsciously look toward its source.

A troupe of Disciples who cultivated Music and Dance, like fairies from the Human World, slowly drifted down from a Floating Island and began to dance gracefully upon the massive Baiyuu Plaza.

Dang Rushuang and Pei Xiaoxiao, meticulously made up and dressed in splendid attire, danced gracefully amidst the Music and Dance Team, looking exceptionally beautiful.

As the music and dance reached their climax, wings unfurled from both their backs. Pei Xiaoxiao had transparent, elf-like cicada wings, while Dang Rushuang had a pair of fantastically beautiful butterfly wings.

As their wings moved, palm-sized Flower Demon Elves, like tiny fairies, emerged from around them. They danced to the music, fluttering around the two women, creating a truly magical scene.

When the dance ended, Dang Rushuang stood barefoot, her long hair and long skirt flowing. A smile graced her face as she spoke, “Fellow Daoists, I am the Celestial Spirit Disciple, Dang Rushuang.”

Pei Xiaoxiao was also exceptionally beautiful. Beneath her mature, sophisticated exterior was a hint of adorable dorkiness. She smiled and said, “Fellow sect members, I am the Celestial Spirit Disciple, Pei Xiaoxiao.”

“Hello, everyone.” The two women and the other dancers bowed in unison.

“Time flies. In a flash, seven hundred years have passed,” Pei Xiaoxiao murmured with deep emotion.

“We have walked this path together, with all of you by our side,” Dang Rushuang continued in a clear, bright voice.

“Today, we gather again at Celestial Spirit, filled with the same anticipation.”

“Today, we harbor beautiful hopes and hearts full of the Dao and its Skills, to once again discuss them with you all.”

The two spoke in unison: “We declare that the Celestial Spirit Two Realms Exchange Conference officially begins today!!!”

…

“Holy shit, the Celestial Spirit Sect has vassal races?”

“I’m smitten, totally smitten! Once you see the Celestial Spirit Sect, you’re ruined for life! My heart is completely captivated!”

“It’s over, it’s over, I think I’m actually falling for them!”

“AHHH!!! Senior Sister Pei is so beautiful!”

“Bullshit, Senior Sister Dang is prettier!”

“Hehe, I like them both!”

“Heretic!”

“…”

Their words sent another wave of excitement through the crowd.

After a long while, Dang Rushuang spoke again, “This exchange conference will follow the same procedures as previous grand conferences, with some minor rule changes.”

Pei Xiaoxiao picked up with a smile, “In front of each Disciple’s table is a personal Array Screen. It records your participation points.”

Dang Rushuang seamlessly continued, “Each topic will have a minimum point requirement to participate. Disciples who meet the requirement can compete for a spot on the stage to discuss the topic, while those who don’t can spend points to go on stage and offer a rebuttal.”

“The points come from two sources. The first is status points, which are your initial points. Your starting total will vary depending on your status.

Ordinary Disciples start with zero points, while representatives from various sects might start with several or even a dozen points. This means that senior uncles and elders with a certain status have the opportunity to initiate discussions right from the start.

However, Ordinary Disciples will need to accumulate points. This is the second source of points: earned points.

After a topic is opened, Disciples can speak through their personal Light Screens. The score for your comments will be automatically determined by the strength of the Dao manifestation from the Spirit Nurturing Celestial Bead at the center of the conference. Our sect will not make any modifications.

Once you’ve accumulated enough points, you can compete for a spot on stage to start a discussion or to offer a rebuttal,” Pei Xiaoxiao said with a smile.

“In other words, as long as your arguments are sound and favored by the Spirit Nurturing Celestial Bead, even if you’re just an Apprentice, you can debate the great truths of the universe with all the Three Talents Ancestors present, waging a war of words that spans all of Hongmeng!

However, this is a friendly exchange of ideas. We encourage discussion, not contentious debate. For Disciples who want a competitive debate, please consider the subsequent Traveler of the World Exchange Conference for scholarly battles. As for physical fights… try your luck on the back mountain!” Dang Rushuang added.

“Of course, the point requirement for participation will differ for each topic. Furthermore, after each topic concludes, any unspent earned points will only carry over to the next topic at a very low percentage.

Additionally, your performance on the previous topic will determine your right to have initial points for the next one. As long as your discussion of the Dao is successful, an Apprentice Disciple’s initial points can even surpass those of a Three Talents Ancestor!” Pei Xiaoxiao said.

“This is a conference for discussing the Dao. Aside from points, status does not matter. No Cultivator participating in the discussion is allowed to use their Cultivation to intimidate others.

Of course, if any senior feels they can single-handedly withstand our sect’s Six-Star Sect Protection Array and the protective pressure of hundreds of thousands of Disciples to break through our blockade and forcibly ‘discuss’ the Dao…

…then, senior, you can pretend Xiaoxiao and Rushuang never said any of the above rules. After all, with that level of Cultivation, I imagine every Disciple here would be delighted to ‘discuss’ the Dao with you in any manner you see fit, wouldn’t they!” Dang Rushuang said.

“The above…”

“…are the basic rules for this Exchange Conference. If there are any other changes, we will announce them at that time.” Pei Xiaoxiao and Dang Rushuang bowed in unison with a smile.

With that, the two of them transformed into motes of Spiritual Light and vanished. The surrounding Flower Demon Elves began to dance and fly about, starting to serve the guests as they had rehearsed in the Illusion Array.

Zhang Deming sat on the Floating Island of Spirit Nurturing Peak. For some unknown reason, their islands hadn’t fully separated and had instead merged with the Floating Islands from Celestial Spirit Peak.
