The Programmer Cultivator

But it was important to note that the Enhancement Path was now an extension, built upon the foundation of the Assignment Theory that Zhang Deming had pioneered.

So, as he looked at the phrase, ”If a Cross-Tier Enhancement occurs, the recipient will be considered a normal Cultivator of the corresponding tier,” Zhang Deming instantly understood its hidden meaning.

’In other words, if I use this Skill to enhance a Cultivator on the verge of a breakthrough, not only will their Cultivation temporarily break through, but they’ll also gain the corresponding comprehension!!!’

’Isn’t this just an extension of Assignment Theory in another form!’

’If I enhance a Tai Chi Cultivator and they reach the Duality realm, they will gain the corresponding insights of a Duality Cultivator during that time. When the effect wears off, won’t the most difficult step of their breakthrough already be more than halfway solved?’

’Isn’t this basically me performing a ’Pin Assignment’ on that Cultivator, using the Enhancement Skill to change their Cultivation from Tai Chi to Duality?!’

Hahaha...

’The Blue Sky Alliance’s prestige is about to level up, and so are the benefits! Our members’ Cultivation problems can largely be solved!’

’The Spirit Nurturing Bead solves the preliminary hurdle to breakthroughs, the Enhancement Skill solves the comprehension hurdle, and with a few materials, it’s basically a one-stop-shop for leveling up!’

’As long as they aren’t completely stupid, with this all-in-one service, they’re bound to make it. At the very least, becoming a Duality or Three Talents Cultivator... with a little perseverance, the odds are very high.’

’Incredible, my Alliance!’

’Incredible, my Spirit Nurturing Enhancement Technique!’

Zhang Deming gazed at his Rune Core, his heart unable to calm for a long time.

Just then, the endless golden glow in the sky began to slowly recede. Zhang Deming paused, his Heart Spirit turning to look at the Warehouse.

Inside the Warehouse, Energy surged as a golden orb of light rapidly coalesced, making the already excited Zhang Deming even happier.

After a long while, when everything had settled, Zhang Deming discovered his Merit had increased by a full twenty points!

It had taken him more than half a year, nearly a full year, to save up forty points, and he had just earned half that amount in one go.

Moreover, this was the first time Zhang Deming had ever gained Merit from upgrading a Technique; previously, he had only ever consumed Merit and Qi Fortune.

’This is just a Law Level breakthrough, and I earned twenty Merit. It’s only the very beginning of the Enhancement Path. In that case... a Scripture would... No, I’m getting ahead of myself.’

He checked his energy reserves: Merit: 63.4, Qi Fortune: 61.2, Karma: 1.4.

He now had enough to unlock the new feature, which cost fifty Merit. Buoyed by his joy, Zhang Deming immediately opened the editor’s main page.

Looking at the toolbar on the editor, Zhang Deming tapped the small dot.

As the Merit was consumed, a torrent of runic code cascaded out of the editor, and the basic framework of a functional module began to form.

Zhang Deming observed the framework and began building the new feature’s structure, quickly refining it. With the experience from the Trial Run and the Help section, the process was much faster this time.

Time flew by. As Zhang Deming lost himself in his editing, the feature was gradually perfected.

Unlike the Trial Run, this feature had three core functions.

Copy, Paste, and Subprogram.

’That’s right. I’m editing in the most basic copy-paste function, plus a Subprogram. Hmm, to put it simply, I’m planning to give the Alliance members a cheat code!’

’The main focus of this feature was supposed to be the Subprogram, but because of the ”assignment” property of the Enhancement Skill, the Copy function also got some special attention from me.’

’Both basic functions were, in essence, copying abilities—functions for processing the Runes within my body by mounting scripts to them.’

After a moment, once he had finished coding, Zhang Deming initiated a trial run. After debugging a pile of errors, he finalized the process.

Finally, the countless lines of runic code slowly condensed on the editor, forming the word ”Subprogram”.

Zhang Deming lightly touched ”Subprogram.” His perspective instantly shifted to his Dantian. At that moment, he seemed to be floating above it in an ethereal form.

He could now select Runes and scripts within his Dantian, copy them, and create a basic Mirror Image program. The instant his hand reached out to touch a Rune, a mysterious message appeared in his mind.

”Copy-pasting a Technique script requires a minimum of 1 Karma to generate the basic Subprogram control. Generating a Mirror Image Subprogram requires 1 Merit.

Note: The Subprogram’s erasure function requires Karma. The specific amount of Karma and Merit consumed is determined by the complexity of the copied Subprogram.”

Pfft...

At that moment, Zhang Deming felt like he’d been ripped off!

’To create this new feature, I have to spend my incredibly precious Karma? Who am I supposed to complain to about this?!’

’This Subprogram thing is essential for helping me quickly harvest Qi Fortune and Merit, but I have so little Karma right now, and I don’t even know how to get more!’

’This red Karma isn’t like the kind in novels where just killing someone gives you a karmic backlash. You can’t obtain this kind of Karma unless you commit acts of extreme evil.’

Zhang Deming looked at the new feature he had created. He was green with envy at its potential, but for now, all he could do was look.

He had originally planned to give the Alliance the new feature and the Spirit Nurturing Beads. But now, with the Enhancement Skill added to the mix... Heh, every single member of the Alliance could become a protagonist in their own right!

But looking at his balance of 1.4 Karma, he could only put the idea aside for now. No matter what, he had to keep some Karma in reserve. He couldn’t burn through it all just because he was eager to use the new feature.

He checked his energy again. He still had over sixty points of Qi Fortune left, enough to upgrade one Technique to Tier Four. This didn’t include Sleeve Qiankun, however, which required eighty points.

Of all his Techniques, Zhang Deming wavered between Oratory and Vine Technique for a long time. In the end, he chose Vine Technique.
