The Programmer Cultivator

Conveniently, the issues with the Alliance’s Contribution Point and leveling systems needed to be addressed as well.

So, Zhang Deming set his long-held plan into motion. He fell back on his old trade from his past life. Inside the Spirit Nurturing Space, he used the initial framework of Monitoring 1.0 as a foundation to develop a new module: the Contribution Points module.

Zhang Deming kept the entire module very simple.

For now, it only included a few simple functions: Contribution Points, tasks, and levels.

With all the revisions and modifications, it took Zhang Deming the better part of a month to complete. The main issue was that while he had a framework, he lacked the tools. Even with its simple functions, building it was a hassle.

If it weren’t for the Spirit Nurturing Space, where he didn’t need to write any code and could manifest things from his mind with a single thought, who knows how much longer it would have taken.

’Well, I can’t really call it code anymore. It’s more like rune-code,’ he thought. ’After all, this mutated creation is a complete fusion of code and Runes.’

It was a program compiled entirely with Runes, a runic version of software.

Once it was done, Zhang Deming examined the result.

Member: Zhang Deming

Alias: Summoning Spirit

Affiliation: Xuanhua Tower

Contribution: 5

Level: Yellow-Level One-Star (0/100)

Note: Levels can be upgraded by spending Contribution Points.

Zhang Deming looked at the template. ’It’s simple, but it should be enough for now. If it needs an upgrade later, I’ll just treat it like a new game server patch!’

Having settled on his plan, Zhang Deming’s appearance rapidly transformed into that of Elder Huang. He then took a single step and arrived at the top of Xuanhua Tower.

Just as he was about to act, Elder Huang paused. ’For a secret organization as ancient as the Blue Sky Alliance, shouldn’t things be a bit more... traditional?’

After a moment of contemplation, Elder Huang waved his hand. The template Light Screen before him slowly morphed, eventually becoming a slightly yellowed, ancient book.

The book’s cover was mottled and its pages were thick, as if it had been thumbed through by countless people over the long years. It exuded an aura that spoke of enduring the vicissitudes of time.

With a thought, an ancient title slowly materialized on the book’s cover: ”Book of All Living Beings.”

Elder Huang examined the book and nodded in satisfaction. ’For an ancient, clandestine organization, something like this definitely has more gravitas than an Array Light Screen.’

’Does this count as me having a moment of dissociative identity, making a change that perfectly fits the persona I’ve adopted?’

He shook his head, clearing his mind of stray thoughts.

Then, Elder Huang beckoned with his hand, and the orb of light that was Feng Mingyou’s Mirror Image fused directly into his body.

Elder Huang’s entire aura changed in an instant. A sense of elegance, Chuchen, and serene indifference radiated from him.

Feng Mingyou may not have advanced much in other areas since reaching the Tai Chi realm, but his temperament was undeniable. The Tea Dao truly lived up to its name as the signature school of the Elegant Sect.

With his hands clasped behind his back, Elder Huang gazed outside. A gentle breeze brushed across his face, causing his crystalline white hair and ancient Daoist Robe to flutter softly.

An ancient tome floated beside him, level with his shoulder. On its cover was an ancient title in large script: ”Book of All Living Beings.”

The combination of his aura, the gentle breeze, and the ancient book amplified Elder Huang’s transcendent presence to its absolute peak.

After making all these preparations, Elder Huang gave a light wave of his hand.

The points of starlight representing Li Shifan, Feng Mingyou, Qu Qingxian, Qu Qizhong, Qin Shizhong, and Xu Weihai began to flicker.

In that instant, all six of them froze. The scene of the Spirit Nurturing Space materialized before their eyes, and they saw Elder Huang standing atop Xuanhua Tower, hands clasped behind his back, his hair fluttering in the breeze.

Elder Huang slowly scanned his surroundings, as if observing them all through their respective points of starlight. After his gaze completed its circuit, he spoke.

”The Celestial Dao is ever-changing, the wheel of ages forever turns. We seek an ephemeral immortality and guide all living beings across the sea of suffering.

Today, the Hongmeng Celestial Spirit Area is established. We open the register to bestow immortal destiny. In this one book, one may receive the gift of long life. I trust you will all treasure this opportunity, and not let this Karma Technique pass you by.”

When he finished speaking, Elder Huang held his left hand open before his chest. The Book of All Living Beings at his side automatically floated down to rest upon it.

He raised his right hand and swept it lightly over the Book of All Living Beings.

At that moment, countless illusory copies of the book seemed to manifest, flying toward the points of starlight and merging into them one by one.

”Hold both hands open before your chest as if supporting a book. Silently recite the Alliance Spell Order during this ritual to reveal your personal register. This register is visible only to you.

This new area has just been opened. Today, I have bestowed upon you a copy of the register. To have your name recorded within is a tremendous Karma Technique. Cherish it well.”

After he spoke, the book floated up once more. Elder Huang clasped his hands behind his back again, his gaze lost in the scenery outside. The gentle breeze whispered past, his crystalline hair drifted softly, creating a scene like an eternal, painted Scroll.

Only then did the vision in the six members’ eyes finally fade. Yet, none of them immediately snapped back to reality.

In the Qu Family’s shop, the grandfather and grandson took a long time to compose themselves. They faced each other speechless, trapped in a long silence.

After a long while, Qu Qizhong finally turned his head to look at Qu Qingxian with a dazed expression. ”Old Ancestor,” he asked, ”what was...?”

Qu Qingxian was in a slightly better state. He spoke, his expression distant, ”I imagine this is what Steward Zhang spoke of before... the application and review for the Contribution Point system.

From the looks of it, the application was approved.

I had assumed it was merely a so-called system, a simple procedural matter. I never imagined it would involve such a grand spectacle.

”It seems this Alliance is far beyond anything we could have ever imagined!”

Upon hearing this, Qu Qizhong asked numbly, ”Then... should we perform the ritual?”

Qu Qingxian glanced at Qu Qizhong, shook his head, and said nothing.
