The Martial Unity

Chapter 3311: Just You And Me

She didn’t understand the explosive exponential boost to his cognition and how it made him so strong, but it didn’t matter.

He still had limits.

’He seems to be able to absorb energy from the Sun, somehow, as well.’ Her calculating mind evaluated him even as he continued moving past the attacks that converged on him. ’However, from everything I have seen. His stamina is not endless like ours. He has limits. Most likely, limits to his mental longevity. There’s only so long that a brain can be stressed and pushed to its limits, and such a limit cannot be ameliorated by simply energy.’

She was right, of course.

The Martial Mind could not go on infinitely with infinite energy and nutrition.

The brain and the mind needed rest and respite.

This was a truth that even Rui was aware of.

Even if he could use nature to serve as nutrition and could absorb energy from the Sun thanks to the Blood of Solaris, that didn’t mean that he could simply go on forever in that way.

Something needed to change in the battle for Rui to get a definitive victory; he could not allow her to continue her access to the endless cognition and energy that the East Genora provided her.

Rui could not win against an entire supercontinent, not even with Gigabrain.

’Then I will need to cut her off from the rest of the continent.’

The blood-red Suns in his eyes flared with power as he activated the Forge of Creation.

RUMBLE!!!!!

The powerful forge flared with power as it began constructing exactly what he needed to cut her off from the rest of the continent and isolate her in this battlefield.

A domain.

A domain that could halt energy and information from passing through.

”A domain of death.” His shining eyes lit up with euphoria as he mobilized the gu once more, even as he evaded the boundless destruction that the resonating Mothers of Nature unleashed upon him.

The gu escaped his body, spreading across the air in a strange fusion of liquid and gas.

And yet, Rui exerted his control over it, manipulating the heavens to guide the gu as he wanted it to.

He didn’t use it to attack Mother Mara from afar, no.

That would be foolish, because she could intercept the gu long be it reached by throwing living matter at it. It was the same tactic that Rui had used to negate Sage Asmodeous’ gu.

Instead, he guided the gu as far away from her as possible.

He guided it to a boundary.

A boundary of a spherical domain.

A spherical domain at the center of which was Mother Mara herself.

RUMBLE!!!!!

The world shook as Rui exerted his astronomical power, mobilizing all the materia prima that he could get his hands on to move heaven and earth. He used the Scriptures of Terra to its very limit to wring the land against Mother Mara’s will, while converting the exotic pluripotent matter that formed his invintium armor into gu.

On the other hand, he bent the heavens to his will.

He created a domain of heaven and earth around Mother Mara.

Half of it is above ground.

The other half is underground.

Normally, creating such a large domain was extremely difficult.

But the domain was surprisingly simple for something that he had come up with while using Gigabrain.

It was a simple barrier.

A barrier of three layers.

The two outer layers of heaven or earth were merely meant to sandwich the middle layer in.

A middle layer that was made up of gu.

’What...’ Mother Mara felt a pang of fear. ’What is this? What are you doing?’

RUMBLE!!!!!

The world shook as Rui rapidly weaved the domain together, causing a pitch-black barrier to emerge around the Mother of Nature at a distance. The pitch-black barrier began isolating the region from sunlight, preventing the Mothers of Nature from using the energy they gained from the Dyson Sphere to empower their botanical biotechnology.

However, that was not the primary function of the domain.

The primary function of the domain was to separate Mother Mara from the Eastern Genora Flora network and to separate her from the rest of the flora on the continent. It forcibly separated her from her resonance with her sisters.

RUMBLE!!!!!

The world grew completely dark as the pitch-black boundary consumed all of heaven and earth.

’NO!’ Mother Mara grew horrified as she unleashed all her power against the domain to destroy it on the spot. ’How dare you try to separate me from my sisters and from nature?!’

BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM!!!!!

Countless projectiles and missiles were launched at the domain, threatening to destroy it and restore her connection with the rest of the continent.

And yet, the barrier remained intact.

It was a liquid and gaseous barrier, meaning that Rui could simply allow all projectiles to escape it without any damage. Even if detonated, the gu wasn’t a living substance and thus the kinetic impact or the heat didn’t have any effect on it, Rui could effortlessly construct it once more.

Even as Mother Mara desperately tried to destroy the domain, the gu layer of the barrier killed all living tissue that it touched.

Including the roots of the flora network underground.

The two layers of heaven and earth that sandwiched it ensured that the gu remained in the barrier, chopping off all the flora inside the domain from all the flora outside the domain.

RUMBLE!!!!!

”Now...” Rui’s tone was eerie.

The blood-red Suns shining with blinding brightness in his eyes were the only source of light inside the dark domain.

”Now it’s just you and me.”

His whisper sent chills across her gigantic body.

’NO!!!’ Mother Mara’s desperation grew real as she frantically mobilized all her power, desperately trying to destroy the barrier.

WHOOSH!!!

Rui surged towards her with blinding high speed, threatening to kill her where she was while activating Hypertrophic Surge to unleash nothing short of pure destruction on her, just as he had been subjected to the entire battle.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!!
