The Martial Unity

Chapter 3168: Disrupted Bond

In a large clearing in the forests of South Panama, the dark elves formed a large canopy protectively around their surroundings, built from flora that came from West Genora. It served as a powerful organic shield of wood and leaves that powerfully held off hordes of the Beast Excursion that sought to wipe them out from the continent.

”ROOOAAARRR!!!”

”RAAAWWWRRRR!!!”

”KRRRIIIEEEKKK!!!”

RUMBLE!!!

The Beast Excursion had simply been instructed to annihilate or exorcise all those who weren’t native to the continent. It had not been given any sophisticated instruction to evaluate whether or not a true world convoy came in peace or not, and simply followed the order blindly.

It wasn’t even possible to give them highly sophisticated instructions in the first place; they were beasts and monsters for a reason. He couldn’t treat them like a highly trained commando force capable of executing complex missions and operations.

WHOOSH

Rui appeared in the air above South Panama in the blink of an eye, his white Martial attire fluttering in the flapping winds that swept across the Great Nam Ocean with a warm humidity as the bright light of the afternoon Sun glared at the entire region.

The intensity of the heat of sunlight had risen noticeably since the Unfolding, causing ecological and environmental shocks to spread across the entirety of the Panama Continent. South Panama was no different, having grown more arid than he last remembered it.

And yet, his eyes remained fixed on the canopy-like protective shield of flora.

The wood and the leaves came from another continent, from the extension of a bridge that came from another continent.

Rui’s pitch-black eyes eyed the broken bridge that once extended, coming from beyond the limits of even his senses. That was before the sea monster of the Great Nam Ocean destroyed the bridge, of course, leaving the dark elves stranded on the Panama Continent, protecting themselves from the incoming ravages of the Beast Excursion.

Enough time had passed since the Beast Excursion had begun.

There was no longer a need for active mobilization.

He inhaled deeply, before unleashing a powerful roar across the entire world.

”RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

RUMBLE!!!

The world shook as the command of the King of Beasts passed through the Panama Continent. In the blink of an eye, the beasts and monsters of the Panama Continent lost the frenzied aggression that lit up their eyes, before returning to what they were doing before the Beast Excursion.

Rui heaved a sigh.

”I will need to figure out a more convenient command for controlling them. I can’t be triggering a Beast Excursion each time I need to mobilize them.”

Perhaps he could simply command them to obey human civilization, but that would disperse too much power too far, and people like the Beggar Sage would gain a disproportionate amount of power over them.

”Martial Artists, maybe?”

That was better, but also not perfect.

He shook his head, returning his attention to the dark elves’ settlement.

The massive canopy-like flora shield that protected them began coming undone as the dark elves deployed their power over flora to open themselves to the world once they realized the Beast Excursion had come to an end.

Rui slowly descended from the skies as he watched the alien wood and leaves retreat back into the surrounding flora. Because the Beast Excursion had robbed them of control over the esoteric flora of the Panama Continent that had grown hostile to them at Rui’s command, they were forced to resort to their own botanical biotechnology to conjure a shield to protect them.

As the flora shield came undone, Rui got a good look at the settlement of the dark elves and all its inhabitants. His eyes lit up with fascination as he got a good look at the ambassadors from West Genora.

They had a light brown complexion with smooth silver hair, while their pointed ears were exactly what he’d imagine an elf to have.

Back on Earth, elves were merely myth and folklore.

But here in the true world of Gaia, they were their own species.

An evolved variant of human beings that had developed an unfathomable bond with nature, the likes of which almost no other people had.

Their clothes were organic, made up of plant fibers and leaves, woven by hand, while their settlements were simply trees that had been induced to grow in a strange, abnormal pattern, resembling little huts with their own entrances and openings.

It was a picturesque, dreamy little settlement that looked like it belonged to people who were a part of nature itself. The dark elves furrowed their eyebrows as they gazed at the shadow of the descending figure in front of the Sun.

They quickly gathered together, behind an authoritative elderly woman who gazed at him with calm, wise eyes, leaning on a little wooden staff.

STEP

Rui arrived before them in a graceful step, directing a sweeping gaze of interest across the gathered dark elves who gazed at his pitch-black hair and eyes with apprehension, directing a sweeping gaze across him with a distasteful expression.

His bronze skin contained a dark tint to it at acute angles, reflecting the Gu that rested within his body, negated by the voracious cancer that Rui had evolved to keep the Gu at bay, and also to ensure that it grew stronger and stronger.

Rui could sense their disgust for him.

He could sense it with his mind sense, something that they didn’t appear to be cognizant of yet.

It allowed him to understand exactly how they perceived him.

In their eyes, Rui was a sick man infested with the power of death itself.

And yet, the elderly woman at the very forefront regarded him with knowing, wise eyes.

”cu eaara hol xiyie dsar wynu lievpayryl oc uf gala gurl rayxiy rsasdel rayxiy xiyie loaxiyryoayse uf sam’vessa?”

He didn’t understand their words.

Yet, he could sense their meanings, nonetheless.

So you are the man who disrupted our bond with nature with the Authority of Alpha?
