The Martial Unity

Chapter 2873: The Solution

While the Dawnbringer rested, the rest of human civilizations entered its final preparations for the Solution of Harmony. Many Sage-level powerhouses had already long begun preparations, concentrating their populations even more to reduce the area that Martial Masters would have to defend, stockpiling on reserves of all kinds, especially energy and ammunitions for their siege weapons.

Martial Sages also underwent their final preparations, all but ready to depart at any moment. The only delay came from the complications of the destruction of the Gu, which led to an increase in the intensity and density of the Beast Incursion across the entire world. It altered peopleʼs calculations regarding a world without Martial Sages.

Would the existing number of Martial Masters and siege weapons be able to deal with this increased intensity of beasts and monsters around the entirety of the Panama Continent?

Many strategists and experts believed that humanity, as it was now, was not equipped to deal with this renewed problem.

”As it stands now,” one strategist remarked, ”most likely, many Sage-level nations will fall. In fact, I have reason to believe that some powerhouses, particularly those with fewer Masters in their ranks…”

He directed a glance to the Patriarch of the Shinken Clan, ”…may also realistically suffer great damage.”

The patriarchʼs expression crumpled with grave severity and a hint of shame.

The leaders of Sage-level powerhouses turned to look at him with a deep look, before turning back to the strategist presenting the outlook regarding the Solution of Harmony.

The powerhouses around the world had a dedicated strategic task force that evaluated the details of the Solution of Harmony. These fellows thoroughly collected and analyzed data surrounding the Martial populations, Martial quality, as measured in terms of their effectiveness against the Beast Incursion, and then extrapolated and modeled the outcome of these conflicts in the long run, accounting for many variables.

What they found was not pretty, and it was reflected in the presentation that they had prepared for the leaders of the Sage-level powerhouses.

”After thoroughly scrupulous examinations of all available data, we can confidently say that human civilization was very close to achieving Sage-independence… prior to the destruction of the Gu and the death of their many Martial Artists,” the strategistʼs tone was severe. ”The void of much of North-West Panama had led to a ten percent increase in the mean beast tide density. This greatly increases the pressure that all nations in the world will be experiencing. All prior estimates and conditions that we had created for Sage-level independence no longer apply. I am afraid that if the Solution of Harmony were implemented at this very moment, human civilization would suffer tremendous losses. There is a thirty-four percent chance that weaker Sage-level powerhouses like the Sekigahara Confederate will be overrun by monsters.”

He paused, continuing after a moment. ”That number rises the longer the Beast Incursion continues.”

Patriarch Shinkenʼs gritted his teeth and clenched his fist.

He didnʼt even have the face to chastise the strategist for his choice of words when he was just being brutally honest about a truth that all of them knew to be true.

Emperor Raelʼs expression was hardened with seriousness.

He had accounted for many possible scenarios when he guided humanity towards the Solution of Harmony with great care and caution.

However, not even he, in all his strategic foresight, could have foreseen the destruction of the Gu. The consequences it had on human civilization were even greater than he feared as the strategic task force provided the results of their research, conveying without even the slightest doubt that humanity was not ready.

”What are the estimated conditions for amelioration of the strategic outlook?” Emperor Rael asked as he skimmed through all the data and research that the team had conducted.

”An increase in siege weapons supply, an increase in resources, and of course, an increase in the quantity or quality of our Martial capital,” the strategist answered straightforwardly. ”If a combination of these can add up to a ten percent increase in net military power, then the Solution of Harmony will be back on track.”

And thus, human civilization toiled over the matter regarding the strategic consideration in the marked increase in the intensity of the Beast Incursion that proved to be even greater than most people suspected it ever would be.

The solution to this problem was far beyond anything any of them could have ever expected.

FSSS...

Rui opened his eyes a day later.

The glass chamber he was resting in unfurled as the drugs sedating him wore off. Needles extracted from his body, while the mask attached to his face gently moved away from him. He felt his vigor and power returning.

The power of the Sage Realm.

RUMBLE…

The world strained under the weight of his existence.

It shook under the force of his breath.

Under the power of his heartbeat.

STEP

Ruiʼs impassive eyes shifted to the man who arrived before him with an eager smile.

”Had a good sleep?” The Esoterist smiled. ”Good, because now itʼs time for you to break through our MECHA Martial Artists.”

CRACK CRACK CRACK…

Rui stretched his body before shifting his calm gaze to the Esoterist.

PAT

He put a hand on the manʼs shoulder.

”Letʼs go then.”

WHOOSH

One moment, they were in the underground facility of Esocline Federation.

The very next?

They were outside in a large field prepared for Rui with all the MECHA Martial Artists gathered under the blue sky and the bright Sun.

”Woah…” the Esoteristʼs eyes widened as he realized Rui had effortlessly bypassed his Sage-level defensive architecture to get outside. ”How did you—”

He froze as he watched Rui rise in the air, higher and higher. ”Where the hell are you going?”

Ruiʼs eyes were chillingly tranquil as he directed a stoic glance at the Esoterist.

A single whisper escaped him.

”Everywhere.”

He rose higher and higher as he beheld the entire world.

BADUMP!

His extraordinary Realms of power blazed to life as a single whisper escaped him.

”Omni-Apotheosis.”

RUMBLE!!!!!

The world shook as he unleashed his power across the entire continent.
